“Love this place always clean, service is excellent, staff is friendly, attentive and the food is excellent. Eat there three times a week in this location. Place rocks.Dietary restrictions: Healthy foodParking: Plenty of.parkingKid-friendliness: Yes kid friendly“
“I'm just blown away.... Like just wow. The restaurant looks like any regular hole in the wall dine in restaurant but what you get in terms of the food and the deal? Amazing! The tonkotsu was pure heaven, so much so that I'm not one to finish the broth usually but I forced myself to do the best I could with this one. The pork slices and the noodles are the perfect tenderness. Servers are very attentive and patient from start to finish. The really amazing deal was that your first two Sapporo or Hot Sake bottles are 99 cents too! Major plus that they play the best indie hits; I even heard my artists on the Playlist. I'm just blown away. It's hard to find great ramen in this neck of the woods but this place proves you don't have to live in orange county to get the same quality.“
“We just stopped for a quick bite during lunch, so we didn't get any mains. The restaurant description promised contemporary Chinese cuisine, but it actually had a lot of Japanese inspired dishes, like shrimp tempura and grilled octopus. I could only taste Chinese influence in the provided sauces. The Crispy Shrimp was absolutely perfect. The Octopus was decent, a bit harder than you'd like. We also tried Grilled vegetable mix and all the ingredients were cooked differently: the potato was well cooked through, but the pumpkin was practically raw.I'm a bit hesitant to come back, but I'd like to give it another try, maybe with the chef's menu.Interior and concept are definitely different from the rest of the neighborhood and provide a welcome respite.“
“We had a great time here! It felt like you were transported to the mountains of China. The food was artfully presented, and it was fun to have something different in a sea of Chinese restaurants. Our group wasn’t into the super spicy, so we didn’t try the ma-la stuff. The service was not super proactive but we were served quickly when we did ask for anything. All in all a great experience. Follow @teamibrahimre for more reviews & local highlights!Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the koi pond and the rocks ?There were enough non-spicy foods that my kids could enjoy.“
“Mazesoba Hero's signature Lemon chicken karage is absolutely amazing?! It's crispy and tender and juicy! Every spoonful was a satisfying experience! karage maintained its crispiness even when immersed in the sauce.I recommend trying their Chicken Karage Mazesoba Ramen to anyone seeking a unique and delicious ramen experience.Yum! Yum!“
“First time visit. The sushi was excellent with a modern touch. The restaurant had a friendly vibe with a nice flow of customers. The only hiccup was the language barrier with the server. The server got visibly upset when my group had difficulty understanding the words. I will return for the food.“
“The ramen here is amazing! My favorite is their Toki Cheese Lovers ramen. The cheese melted perfectly and gave the broth a creamier taste. The broth is also full of flavor and aromatics. I also love their anime themed decor! Makes the overall experience even better.“
“Visited this cozy spot and was instantly won over, not just by the super yummy, kid-friendly meals, but also by all those lovely little details. Every element, from high-quality utensils to bowls and curry pots designed for easy handling, has been thoughtfully selected. Even the bamboo tray added a cute, homely vibe. Service might lean towards the slow side, but the wait is worth it when you know each dish is freshly prepared. It felt like each dish was made with care just for us.“
“Very Good Service. Amazing food, friendly atmosphere. I go here for lunch occasionally dinner. As good as the food is I can never finish the bowl of PHo. When I take home leftovers, they do an excellent job of separating the noodles and broth and packaging it for me. Highly recommend. One of the only places in Claremont where you can also watch the game and have tasty appetizers.“
“This past Sunday was my first time trying this place, it was recommended by a family member. To straight off its a cute spot, clean and tv's all around. The place gives a comfy vibe. I ordered the Sabino French Toast and was not disappointed! Our food did take a little bit long but it was busy and I think they were short staffed so It was understandable. When the food came it was a nice portion and very delicious. My son says he has tried the menudo and it was very good. Definitely will be back again!“
“Bowl House is fantastic. Service was on-par and the owners go beyond what you expect. I ordered 34 garlic sesame chicken plates and (some sides for me potstickers with ponzu - awesome, shrimp plate - awesome) - and requested all 34 plates to be prepared by a certain time. Not only was it ready, packed, but William and his wife helped me bring the boxes to my van. All 34 plates were eaten and University of Redlands Mens Water Polo players and coaches. They were super thankful. If I am in La Verne, I would come back to Bowl House. It is in kind of an old town La Verne area where you can park and walk around and visit the local shops. Parking was easy. Thank you so much!“
“I love their food it’s got hints of basil , garlic and is out of this world with flavor!!! Cooked with so many yummy flavors!! I have tried many different dishes and have always been pleased! Staff is always amazing and very knowledgeable and friendly about my questions about new dishes!! Give them a try absolutely everything is delicious!!!Parking: Pulled right up to the door it’s easy parking !!Kid-friendliness: Some other clients had children and they had color books and booster seats the child was laughing with the nice waiter!!! Just having fun!! Kindness makes me smile!!!I was smiling watching the waiter take time to chat with the child!!“
“They have so many yummy dishes here! Way more than expected at a cafe.Highlights of the menu:1. Mini hot pot: Mongolia lamb and Satay beef2. Pork belly skewers3. Lamb skewers4. Beef aorta skewers5. Spicy wonton6. Eel bibimbap7. Short rib with quail egg and tofu8. Stirred beef with quail egg and rice9. Beef bulgogiDrinks:10. Mango pomelo sago11. Oreo brulee matcha12. Mango coconut smoothie“
“It's a small space, so it fills up quickly and will very likely always have a wait time. But the food is crazy good! I had the belly 2 belly plate and the flavor of the month cloud pancake (pandan) as well as a pandan matcha latte. Everything was delicious! We got our food relatively quickly, especially considering how busy they were that morning.“
“I found this restaurant on Yelp! What a great find! The inside is spacious. They have small curtain like partitions for privacy between tables. So far, I've been here twice. Both visits have gone well. This hot pot restaurant is shabu shabu style. You are given a slip and check off all the ingredients that you would like to put in your broth. The beef is cut fresh when you order it. I've tried the sichuan broth and the tom yum broth. They've been flavorful. I love adding tofu and potato vermicelli along with veggies and beef. Customer service is great. The waitress is attentive and friendly. She checks on you often and makes sure your cup is always full of water or your preferred drink. I also like how they are open late as this cold weather makes me crave hot pot. I'm looking forward to trying a new combination.“
“I am a DoorDash aficionado, and always on the lookout for new and tasty fare. Tay Ho delivered! Their garlic noodles with filet mignon, as well as with tofu and mushrooms are super flavorful! The filet melts in your mouth and the vegetarian option is so full of texture and flavor! The crispy egg rolls are delicious, especially with the sauce for dipping that is provided. And, who doesn't love an iced Vietnamese coffee? This is a go to lunch now on our weekly rotation!“
“I had the Peking Duck Combo Meal twice, both times takeout and they were very good and tasty. The location was previously a Korean fast food and that’s why you see reviews of Korean food mixed in here. Google should really fix this problem.Back to the Duck Palace. The duck was well seasoned and delicious. The meat was carved out with both skin and meat so it is not just skin only. This is just another style of eating Peking Duck, not more or less “authentic “ as I had both styles in China, in Beijing no less. The combo meal comes with a Duck soup, first time it was real good, the second time I think the cook tipped the whole bottle of pepper in it ?. The carcass of the duck, mainly the neck and leg bones, were deep fried and they are surprisingly tasty, excellent when washed down with a cold beer.“
“Ordered the number one with thin egg noodles and the number eight with thick egg noodles. Both were very good! My fiancé really enjoyed the number one and said it tasted authentic. I thought the number eight broth was too salty but the barbecue pork was good and the lettuce fresh. The interior is very nice and clean. It looks almost new.“
“Nowhere to seat indoor since covid, that needs to change.ButThe food is phenomenal poki, I hope they never change. Please to change the bowl sizes and skimp us. Right now it's great!Parking: Parking can be full especially since there is no indoor seating-people eat in their car.“
“Wonderful food with a wonderful staff, place wasn't crowded when I went which was such a shame because the food was wonderful. I got the Thai BBQ chicken with peanut sauce on the side and my father got shrimp fried rice. Absolutely delectable, will Absolutely come again when I can.“
“Nice Chinese cuisineVegetarian options: About 20% vegetarian menuDietary restrictions: OptionalParking: Spaces are the first come first park, in typical busy hours, you will need to navigate a littleKid-friendliness: Open to kids with nice live jazz musicWheelchair accessibility: Yeah“
“I came here for lunch during a day of work in the area. I am always concerned when I note the crowd is light at high noon. There were three tables filled. Maybe the evening crowd is larger? I ordered tofu cashew stir fry lunch special (see pic). It was nicely plated and the portion was sufficient. The ambiance was clean, A in the window, furniture is a bit of a mish mash. The gentleman serving was polite and attentive. He did not ask me about spice level. The dish was not the least bit spicy. I asked for chili sauce which made it better. My ratings are always heavily weighted to food. This place is a solid 4. I would be happy to return on my next visit to the area.“
“This place is great. It’s small, but the food is delicious, and the service was great. They’re very friendly and accommodating. We love Asian food nd this is the best restaurant we’ve been to in a while. We ordered about 7 different dishes for 4 people because we couldn’t make up our minds and everything tasted great! This will definitely be one of our go-to places.“
“Loving this place - the teriyaki chicken chicken and charbroiled burgers and fries are always good. I tried fish this time and they were good but reminds me of frozen fish sticks. Also was craving egg rolls 2 for almost $5 wasn't worth it. The California rolls are though (not pictured). Re-order chicken teriyaki, cheeseburger, fries, CA rolls Don't re-order: eggs rolls“
“I was skeptical to try to this place because it looks too modern. Sounds silly, but I usually like hole-in-the-wall places for "foreign" food because I have found that those places tend to have more authentic dishes. However, I have been to so many pho places around here and I can say that this one has a very tasty pho. The broth was very flavorful (the last place I tried had ok/good pho but I mentioned in my review that the broth there was lacking some in flavor). Also, I like tripe as a meat topping (which isn't as popular around here) and I don't always find the right meat combos that I like on other pho restaurant menus and the combo with all meats has some meats that I don't prefer. I like that here they have a two-item meat option and I can pick the two meats I really want. There is also a meatless and a vegan option with vegetable broth.Would definitely go back to try other menu items!“
“The place is a little but can fit in large party of 25 or 30. The food were all good accept a few like fried tofu ( too salty) and Bánh xèo, there were 2 little shrimps :( for a plate that cost as much as that should be more, don't you all think so?But any way, the rest of the food like pho and beef nói soup were so good thought the price were like 20 bucks each. Service was great, place was clean. And the best thing is 7 leave tea station is right beside it. After the food we drop by 7leaves“
“Had the rice bowl with chicken teriyaki and pork and fish. Cod fish were planks which were or but the rice bowl and pork and rice was fantastic. Quick service and place was clean.Parking: Small parking lot and crosses with drive through but not bad.“
“One of my favorite sushi spots in the area. They have great happy hour deals (after 3pm). I especially like the crab hand roll. Great service...it's as if all of the waitstaff teams up to help all of the customers. Always nice and friendly.“
“The Hainan chicken rice combo set for 2-3 people is a must-get. The chicken is smooth and juicy, with skin, no bones. It comes with chicken broth, marinated cucumbers, spiced peanuts, chicken broth rice, and two condiments (ginger scallion oil and a sour sweet chili sauce). I also like the potato noodle soup. The soup includes quail eggs, small meatballs tofu skins, kelp noodles, and baby bok choy.“
“I was amazed at the service given here by all their associates. They are very customer centric. Food was cooked to perfection. All was fresh and tasty. Avocado was very well prepared and beautiful (no brown spots). Salad was fresh and dressing all was delicious. Thank you for making our lunch so pleasant.“
“If I could give Kimchi Delight six stars, I would! This place is an absolute gem for Korean cuisine lovers like myself. The Kimchi Rice here is a total bomb - spicy, tangy, and bursting with flavor in every bite. It's like a party in your mouth! And don't even get me started on the Ramen. It's simply amazing; I could slurp that broth all day. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the toppings are generous. The owner is very friendly and kind, she made me feel like I was invited to a family dinner.“
“I've never been to any other skewer restaurant and came to this place twice within a week or so, so this is a review based on that background info. The restaurant is located on the second floor of Pearl Plaza. Your best bet at parking during peak hours is in the parking structure to the right of the plaza. The door to the restaurant is a bit hidden and just looks like a wooden wall but when you get closer to it, it opens automatically like a sliding door. The first time I came was around 7:30 pm on a Thursday night (party of 5) and the second time was around 4:30 pm on a Sunday (party of 3). We didn't have a reservation the first time because it was an impromptu decision to eat there and we were seated right away. I made a reservation for the second time just in case and was also seated right away because the restaurant was empty at the time. Each table comes with roasted peanuts and two types of dipping salts/spices for each person. They have plenty of different types of skewers to choose from so there's something for everyone. They also have appetizers and already cooked dishes you can order. It may seem like the skewers will take a long time to cook but it actually goes by fairly quickly. The servers were really attentive both times I went. I will say that it is a bit pricey compared to something similar like KBBQ since it's not all you can eat. Both times I spent about $40 something but you do leave extremely full. Definitely recommend a try!“
“ChatGPTI recently had the pleasure of dining at Omaniku, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From start to finish, the service was impeccable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making the evening truly enjoyable. What made the evening even more special was the delightful birthday treat they surprised me with. It was a lovely gesture that added a personal touch to the dining experience, and it made me feel truly valued as a customer. Now, let's talk about the food. The dishes at Omaniku were not only visually appealing but also bursting with flavor. I could tell that the ingredients were of high quality, and the chef's skill was evident in every dish. Past reviews said the food wasn't high quality, and you need to consider how many courses you're getting at the price. One of the most pleasant surprises was the value for money that Omaniku offers. I've dined at several Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and while they may offer slightly better food, they often come with a hefty price tag. Omaniku, on the other hand, provides a fine dining experience that is on par with these prestigious establishments but at a fraction of the cost. It's a fantastic option for those who want to enjoy exquisite cuisine without breaking the bank.Lastly, Omaniku is the perfect place for a romantic date night. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, making it an ideal setting for a special evening with your loved one. The combination of great service, delicious food, and the overall atmosphere creates a memorable dining experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend Omaniku. Don't be misled by other reviews; this restaurant truly exceeded my expectations. It's a hidden gem that offers an outstanding culinary experience without the exorbitant price tag.“
“Amazing , amazing, amazing!!! Unsuspecting place with food that blew my mind. This was probably the best food (out of all cuisines) I've had in a while.... Flavors are out of this world! Well prepared, super fresh, creative combinations... will definitely be back“
“Glad there's another cajun spot in Covina!I usually order cajun around Rowland, but this place is a good alternative and I will definitely be back for more, no more 30 minute+ drives! The food is delicious, especially the shrimp. The owner was very friendly and personable, which was a huge plus. Fast service for pick up and place was very clean. Give it a try.“
“Went there for the first time. Invited by the band Later Daze. My Fiancé and I really loved the place. Everything excellent!!! We will return soon. Food was delicious too! Taco bar.Parking: We found a empty spot right across the entrance of the building.“
“Would taste as good as benihanas if it was cooked on the spot in front of you. Got their chicken and shrimp combo to go and it was a good portion and super tasty also comes with soup or salad for my f*t a$$. Thank you D Grill Boy, I'll be back“
“So I mostly never do these things but I would just like to say how amazing the service was the food was good the service was impeccable and the atmosphere felt so welcoming I especially would like to thank Alejandra I think that’s her name but whoever you are you made me first time at waba so great you took your time and really helped me when I was lost on what’s on the menu from all the workers to the owners thank you so much can’t wait to come back“
“Just discovered the cutest retro-cafe ever: Hideout Cafe in Rowland Heights! Dived into their Boba Bear Set and holy moly, it's LEGIT! I’m boba-solutely sure this is the cutest Boba drink!✧ Boba Bear Set- get ready to give this cute bear a milk tea bubble bath. It’s boba-licious!!BBQ Pork Belly topped with a sunny side up egg? ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!And, hold onto your taste buds, because they're using ceremonial grade Matcha in their lattes AND infusing it into their amazing Matcha Green Tea Waffle, served with Green Tea Ice Cream! It's like a MATCHA fairytale come true! They now have boxes and individually packaged Instant Espresso Coffee Bags (think tea bags). Such a great idea for making a quick cup at home, at the office or when traveling.“
“Parking can be challenging around dinner time but lunch time is fine. Restaurant is nice and spacious and has a lot of interesting cultural decor. Server was attentive and helpful especially when she saw us having trouble with the tea pot. Loved every dish we ordered and will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. Dolan special tea was nice and floral with a hint of honey. Definitely a must with every order. Even better that it came with endless refills of hot water to keep brewing the tea. Even after 5 refills of the hot water the tea did not taste like it got diluted at all. Shredded potato dish was nice and had a decent amount of spice to it. Samsa was super flaky and filled with a well seasoned ground beef. Paired well with the pickled cabbage. This is what I wish the Porto's meat pie tasted like. If they sold this frozen I would buy a dozen just so I can make it at home. Fried naan and beef was good. Honestly was more naan than beef. In our order it was around 5 percent beef and 94 percent fried naan and 1 percent veggies. Dish was good but wish there was more beef. Big plate chicken was a very generous portion but we did feel that it was a bit on the salty side. Chicken was cooked perfectly and the hand pulled noodles was delicious. Very filling to say the least.“
“We went to Mo Mo but they were full then we found this place. Just give it a try. 33++ Meat: 2 beef selection, lamp, shrimp and squidVarious soup bases. We chose clear and spicy miso, not bad. One choice for ice creamI do not like that they provide paper plates and bowl and plastic spoon. It makes food less values and tastes.“
“If you are into spicy Chinese food, then you will love this place. This eatery serves Chengdu style food (a sub-part of Szechuan cuisine). It had the same 麻辣 taste for all of their dishes (literal translation: numb & hot pepper spicy) as in a typical Szechuan dish. Numbing effects came from black & white peppercorns, which you can taste quite distinctively. Thhis style of food is known as Maocai 冒菜(translates from local dialect: heat the food); , which derived from the hot spicy soup with all kinds of herbs pour over the ingredients creating steam (as in 冒烟as in “smoking”)just before serving to the patrons. You can choose from the menu or pick your own from the buffet bar and you will pay based on the weight of your selections. Once weighted, the kitchen will cook your concoction for you based on your selection of the sauce. All sauces were spicy and numbing. You can also choose lite spiciness, mid spiciness or extreme spiciness. This is the first time I’d tried this and I actually enjoyed the numbing and hot peppers flavor very much. I pride myself on eating spicy food, but I opted for lite spiciness here and it was plenty spicy for me. The prices were reasonable and the quantity was fulfilling for the items on the menu. You can also choose from glass noodle, rice noodle or instant noodle for your carb. I had the rice noodle and it was very well made. My wife selected the least spiciest sauce, the beef bone soup, with beef and it was just a bit spicy, but plenty of numbness.“
“Ordered through Door Dash and ordered the Bento Box of Spicy Pork: The box comes with a good amount of tempura, mainly vegetables (squash and sweet potato) and one shrimp. The tail is hiding in there so I spit it out. lol. The batter is like a pancake mix and it was sweet to me. I thought it was delicious. The dipping sauce for the tempura was light and seemed lemony. The tomato salad with thousand island dressing was fresh and basic. The 4 California rolls were also fresh and the cucumber was crunchy good. Spicy pork was flavorful and not spicy at all. Bed of rice is underneath the meat. The beef rib plate was flavorful! But the meat was not too tender where it "melts" in your mouth. It was like a medium type of tough. But it was an enjoyable chew lol! I would order this again for sure. Try this place out!“
“This is my favorite place to eat in Rowland area. The food is always on point. I believe it's one of the best Cantonese cafes in all of SGV. My favorite item to order here is the mushroom truffle pizza. Their pizzas are so good. The dough is crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. They use enough cheese and are generous with the mushrooms. I also love their fillet mignon and shrimp as well as their chicken steak meals. All the food is really fresh and quick. They are packed every day during lunch and dinner times so definitely try to come early and get a seat!“
“We came for a birthday and got the room decorated which was super cute. It was $48 an hour for a small room and there was 5 of us, we all fit great. We didn’t order any food because we had dinner before coming but we had tea and it was really “
“Beautiful space, delicious food. I had no idea from the outside that i was about to enter something alike an old hindu/european space. I took one star from service because they refuse to scramble my egg but i didn't miss much since the food i ended up ordering was simply perfect.“
“The food was very good and the restaurant was very clean the only thing that fell behind was the service (wrong drink, not utensils, forgot to put in a food item). I'm sure if you come when it's not as busy you won't have any issues either way will definitely be coming back to give another try.“
“This place never ceases to amaze me!! The fried tofu...heavenly!! I love it in medium spice. The Boba tea, scrumptious!! The coconut smoothie, delightful!! The grapefruit slush, divine!! The staff, so joyful, helpful and patient. The atmosphere is calming, modern with cute accents. ? I've been coming almost everyday with my daughter!!“
“One of my go-to places in the area. Simple. Solid personal hotpot. I always get the t-rex lamb sukiyaki with ponzu sauce. Love that they have this extra meat option. Everything comes out fairly quickly. There's plenty amount of veggies. The lamb has a slight gamey taste, but it's still just so delicious.“
“Service is a little slow during lunchtime as the kitchen backs up and they get pretty busy...order ahead if you're in a hurry. That said...food is always hot a prepared upon order...portions are great and their garnish and compliments of sides are delicious. Definitely worth the price and the little bit of wait time to get a good meal. Just a cozy little privately-owned business and not a chain. Seating has a small area of tables, so if you are looking to sit down and dine in get there early, no large groups will fit in this cozy little place. There is no table service so you order at the counter and pick up at the counter. Take out is my preference. Had two bento boxes this time...photo attachedParking: Lot is shared with Stater Brothers and other surrounding small businesses so getting a space near the front of their door is hit and miss but parking lot is big enough for this location.“
