“Fabulous place to stay. On the river with a private dock with kayaks and paddle boards. Lots of day beds and lounging areas. Really good restaurant and bar. We listened to live music and had a great time. Very relaxing. We go every summer. Can't wait until next year“

“Can't say enough great things about the Madrona! The hotel is gorgeous and chic while still very comfortable and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive without becoming overbearing. Food is excellent across the board, especially Wednesday night fried chicken. Well worth the price for delicious food in a beautiful setting.“

“Down to earth hospitality. Every employee there is so kind (offering to take photos, helping you understand the options and events, and making sure things are right). The pours are generous, but those sandwiches are amazing! I recommend stopping here for the history, the brandy, the still wine (yes they make still wine!), and the market! Not to mention, their patio is surrounded by redwood trees!“

“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.“

“Wow! What a gem! If you are looking for outstanding chowder, you have to try Ginochio’s Kitchen. Best chowder we have had in California. The owner is a sweetheart who knows everything about the town of Bodega Bay.
Huge parking lot with lots of spots. Clean restrooms. Food comes out quick and piping hot.
We finally got to try their breakfast burritos and they did not disappoint. Huge and filled with delicious pulled pork.

“This place is outstanding! I had the Mexican mocha. It was so creamy and delicious. I’m literally asking myself why I go to SBUX. I had the big breakfast burrito. Was enough for me and my daughter. I love that they grill the burrito. Reminds me of home. (Texas) We had black iced coffee. Very good flavor. Hot chocolate was so good too. My husband had the 2 sunny side up eggs on sourdough. Our first waiter was Ben and oh how we loved him so we always asked for him when we would go in. Sadly, Ben moved out of the area but then we got Danny! Another fantastic server and now we always ask for her! Can't vouch for the other servers but my guess would be that they are all good! Susie is the owner, and she is wonderful! She always mingles with her guests and even gets many of them up dancing! I hope she knows how much her regulars appreciate her! I'm so glad we found this place because we do not live out there. “Great local hangout with outdoor seating on the River!. This is a must stop for those hot days on the Russian River. It was 93 today, but the shade with a river breeze was comfortable on the deck. They have a good selection of house brews with daily specials and a few mixed cocktails. Bar food is available, it's the normal fair. Great quality, you won't be disappointed.“
