I spoke with Nancy over the phone, and she was immediately understanding and supportive. I returned the cake that same day, but our event was early the next morning. The staff fixed the cake first thing in the morning and delivered it directly to our home, perfectly on time. I’m willing to pay higher prices because this kind of above-and-beyond service is special to small businesses like Amy’s.“

“I'm legally blind and I was actually there to visit my cardiologist roughly 6 minute walking distance on the other end of 1st Street. I got myself into a dilemma by buying two dozen of egg tarts which comes in two large pizza size boxes. The young lady who helped me at the store first told me they don't have such a big bag for those boxes, but she obviously considered my convenience so she went to the bag and dig out a large size shopping bag. I guess you can tell how appreciative I was even though those boxes have to go in sideway anyway... It still helped me to hold those boxes in one hand and my white cane on the other.“

I taste tested the dole whip, and it was also delicious. The texture of the soft serve is exactly what I was looking for. 100% will be back. “It was exactly 2 weeks before my daughter’s quinceanera. I had been considering making her cake but after a lot of stress and agonizing over what to do, I decided to stop into Sugar Mama’s just to see what they had to offer. Within about 10 minutes I was placing an order. The shop is very cute and the staff makes you feel instantly at ease. The order process was fairly straightforward. If anything there are almost too many options for flavors and additional toppings but that’s not a complaint. The day of our event came and the cake was beautiful. They took my inspiration photos and made her a gorgeous cake. It was delicious and reasonably priced too. Overall, we had a great experience with this business and will be back.“

“Pretty standard 85° competitor but I found this spot before 85° at the Arcadia mall and really enjoyed their pastries! For some reason, I feel like it's a little less memorable and maybe slightly lower quality than I remember but still pretty good for a quick pastry or slice of cake.“

“Here for the reasonably-priced and various pastries. I usually have it for breakfast or as a snack. They do run out towards the end of the day so would recommend coming early. I’ve never ordered a drink from the counter but on my most recent visit, did pick up a bottle of milk tea from the fridge and it tasted pretty good although a bit expensive. I don’t have a favorite pastry but am a fan of the taro ones.

Garage entrance is on a side street just off of Main so 2-hour parking is easy. There is some seating inside if you wanted to eat in. Staff is friendly. Definitely will be back every so often.“

“I absolutely LOVED (!!!!!!!!) my keto and sugar-free cake from Valentine Sweets.

First, the cake was absolutely PERFECT when my friend picked it up. Any minor frosting imperfections in these photos happened a few days later after pickup when it was not eaten right away and are completely my fault.

The cake is sweetened with monk fruit and has no grains. It tasted genuinely delicious, like classic birthday cake from my childhood. As someone on a long gut-healing journey with a lot of dietary restrictions, this felt like a dream come true. Also, no artificial food dye! Swoon!!!!

My friends without dietary restrictions loved it too, so it is not just me saying this. Also truly the prettiest birthday cake I have ever had.

“I visited Paris Baguette in Cerritos early at 7 AM to check out their donuts. The donuts are not overly sweet, which I really liked. The custard cream in the king cream donuts is also mild in sweetness, much better than the usual sugary donuts you find elsewhere. Their crab meat croquettes were delicious too! I’m gonna
try their curry croquettes next time.
