“We chose Caruso's for a special anniversary dinner and it met all of our expectations. The service, the food and the atmosphere were simply wonderful. It is pricey but worth the money for an extraordinary dining experience. We also very much enjoyed the piano music which was introduced the night we attended. It added greatly to the atmosphere.“

“Had lunch at Local in Montecito a couple of Sundays ago, and wow—what an upgrade! It looks like they have a new chef, and the menu changes are above and beyond. Every new dish I tried was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You can really taste the difference in quality and creativity.

On top of that, the ambiance is fantastic—warm, inviting, and the perfect spot for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience.

“Come here for a nicely-furnished, attractively-lit and entirely typical Chinese restaurant experience.The staff are friendly and helpful, the ambiance is quiet and serene, the walls are red, the tablecloths are yellow, and the General Tso’s chicken is no better than the best you’ve had elsewhere and certainly no worse than any other plate you’ve eaten. It’s essentially a version of Panda Express which is upgraded in every area. “Attended a rehearsal dinner here last week. Atmosphere was lovely and food was awesome. The best part was the staff- I left behind a very expensive pair of sunglasses and woke up the next morning in a panic when I realized they weren't in my bag. I went back by the restaurant and the nicest lady, Tamara, took my number and said she would reach out to the staff to see if anyone had found them. An hour later, she called and had my sunnies! Lot of integrity with their staff and it made my trip!“

“I love hanging out at Fox Wine Co in the Santa Barbara Funk Zone - the chill indoor space, and the huge outdoor patio they share with the neighbor brewery so the beer lovers can also be happy. Along with the excellent wines from renowned award winning winemaker Blair Fox, they also has a hard Kombucha rosé and a hard Cider - so there’s something for everyone in the group, and food from The Nook next door. “We decided to do a Carr tasting because our friends have been members for years, the winery offers Cab Francs, which we love and believe are under appreciated, the tasting room looked cool in photos, and it was within walking distance of our hotel. The tasting room and tasting bar were even cooler in person and we enjoyed tasting the wines on the shaded patio, led by our excellent tasting guide, who was well-schooled in the wines on offer. We especially liked the Cab Franc and joined their Cab Franc Club. Of course this was no surprise to us because we’ve had their wines before, at our friends’ house. When we were planning our Santa Barbara trip I said “no more wine clubs,” but we made an exception for Carr.“
