“If your a dave portnoy fan then this is the spot for ya. If you truly want a ny style pie..only talking about a cheese pie. As I don't care for toppings. They got that wood fire oven..can't say anything other than quality is the best I've had. Price was relatively low 15$ for a large og cheese. (Comes with 8 large slices)This is the spot if you need that crust and prefer thin crust style. Hands down best go to pizza spot in the sgv. Must tryIf you like chain pizza then idk what to yell you, this pizza is different.“
“Food was amazing! The service was bad! Very expensive but I expected to be better taken care of. They were fully staffed but no one seemed to be working efficiently. We were 8 and none of the food runners ever knew who ordered what. They had to ask on every plate they brought. Not just our table but others as well. I don’t know if they have busboys as our table was never cleared. Plates upon plate stacked up. No one asked if we wanted a second drink and the glasses were never picked up. When we ordered dessert we had to move the 16 empty drink and water glasses to one side, gather the bread plates, wipe everything down and wait for our desserts. It was a busy night but not too busy for bad service. I kinda expected more than diner service at such an expensive restaurant.“
“Located just a 15-minute walk from the Ahmanson Theatre, Maccheroni Republic is a wonderful find. The outdoor seating area is inviting, and the service is top-notch. We enjoyed the Burrata appetizer and indulged in two pasta dishes: Bianchi Neri and Pom'Amore, both of which were absolutely delicious. A perfect pre-show dining spot with great ambiance and even better food.“
“We always love visiting Propaganda and this time was no different. The 4 Formaggi & Funghi is my new favorite pizza. This time we tried the boozy pandoro dessert and even 5 days later I'm still thinking of it. Can't wait to go back!“
“Great slices and great customer service. Might be the best crust in LA. I heard they use something like 27 different flours or something wild. Whatever it is, the attention to detail really shines through. You can tell it’s special just looking at it, but biting in, it’s obviously special. Incredible flavor throughout. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. I’m even tempted to try some of the vegan stuff ??♂️“
“Good was great, service was amazing. Waiter described everything to us and the atmosphere is cute and semi romantic. Overall I always have a good experience. I also love the macaroons there. Always enjoy taking a box home with me.Parking: Valet or street parking, they do not have a parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible. My brother is in a power wheelchair and they always accommodate.“
“Do you want the best Italian sandwich in LA? Well guess what?! You have found it. You will not be disappointed. There is literally no way to feel sad while eating one of these sandwiches. I put Sandwich Day into my calendar and look forward to it like I'm going on vacation. This is also the greatest cross section of Angelenos in one space. The dorky, the svelte, blue collar, white collar, guys in suits who are definitely committing some sort of financial fraud and the police who will someday arrest them. It's a family owned business with kind, hardworking folks behind the counter. Go. Eat. And have the best day ever!“
“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere. However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“
“Such a cute little wine bar in the heart of DTLA! My friend and I decided to catch up over early dinner here. We ordered the coldbrew martini and the non-alcoholic prosecco. We also shared the caesar salad, meatballs, piquillo peppers, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious and tasty. We were pleased with everything we ordered. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Our service was efficient. There is no free parking available, but we paid to park in a lot nearby.“
“An outstanding evening - great food, excellent, informative & fun Server (Thanks, Maria!). Nice vibe. Cozy space. Counter is fun. AND - who would have ever imagined we'd try “Orange Wine” (don't be a chicken like me - it's actually a whole new experience) ?. Really nice.“
“Delicious evening. Many extra courses in the tasting menu, lots of extra black truffles on many dishes. Both of the servers were super knowledgeable and friendly. The table next to us was a loud couple with a dude on his phone a lot and that was the single negative part of our evening. An amazing birthday experience. Thanks, guys!“
“I like this place because it has no frills. My friend and I ordered the cheese/onion pizza. My friend is from St Luis. She knows pizza. She said this was the best pizza she's had. I thought it was fabulous also. We shared a rib eye. She likes it medium. I like it rare. They cut it for us and cooked each separately. Calamari - delicious. We had tons of left overs too. The staff was friendly, accommodating and responsive, very yummy place to dine.“
“If Italian restaurants in Italy can have a gluten free pasta option then so can Bacetti. Time to get with the 21st century. Other than that, the atmosphere was amazing, as was the wine by the glass selection. Don’t bother trying to find street parking though, go straight for the valet—I wasted 10 minutes thinking I’d find something. Gratuity of 20% is included in your bill but expect average LA service that will provide service at their convenience.“
“If you're looking for that classic, old school family-style Italian dinner in LA, Donna's is the way to go. They have a lot of the classics like pasta Ragu, chicken Parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, veal picatta, etc. But they also bring a new age flare to some dishes like the lasagna Rollatini (think lasagna but instead of horizontal layers you get tight pinwheels of meaty, salty, cheesy goodness!) and fussili a la vodka with whipped ricotta. The restaurant itself does remind me of a Brooklyn-based Italian mom & pop restaurant with a checkerboard floor. It's a pretty small venue which is probably why it's so hard to get a reservation (you gotta book 1 - 2 weeks in advance at 10 AM on Rezy). This does make for a more intimate dining experience which is nice. We started with the garlic bread. Oh my god this was the best garlic bread I have ever had. The outer crust was so crisp and crunchy. Covered in parmigiano cheese. The inside was perfectly fluffy and so garlicky and buttery. I could not stop eating this bread I was genuinely considering ordering a second. Next we got the Caesar salad which was divine. Perfectly dressed with a fresh dressing and again served with tons of parmigiano. As a group of 3, we got 3 entrees in addition to those starters to share. We chose the chicken Parmesan, the lasagna Rollatini, and the pork ragu. The chicken parm was crunchy on the outside and loaded with cheese. The lasagna was fantastic, my only critique was that it was a pretty small dish but one bite of it was very rich. The pasta sheets were thin, arranged in pretty vertical pinwheels, and there was lots of meaty sauce in between all the layers. The pasta ragu was so good. Perfectly cooked al dente pasta topped with a rich pork ragu sauce. The service was great, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. My only critique was the dessert. The carrot cake was not moist and had a very citrusy flavor which was not what I was expecting. And the cannolis tasted stale. I would skip dessert but otherwise, enjoy a fantastic dinner at Donna's!“
“Great place to experience some new flavor combos. Service was top notch, but for us the flavors were a little dull. Maybe a case of having too high of expectations going in, but the street corn pasta dish was very underwhelming. We wouldn’t have known what it was going for. Again, food was still delicious, maybe worth another shot to try the rest of the menu.“
“Great restaurant but couple things:1) the food, pastas in particular, are very heavy flavored, we went in large group and all of us had digestive upset that night.2) the server pushed us to order way too much. She had us order 12 dishes (not including bread) for our party of 6 adults and asserted it would be a light meal. We ordered at least three dishes too many. And we are not light eaters. We were not happy with her guidance.“
“This is a retro yet super trendy neighborhood bar that offers strong craft cocktails and some Italian bar food bites. The drinks we tried were all super strong and tasty. The food is good as well but keep in mind that it's fairly small portions more meant as snacks. The atmosphere was top notch! It's pretty crowded even on weeknights, so you'll have to hover a bit to snag a stool or table at peak times. It's pretty loud and small so maybe not the best for groups.Parking: Try surrounding residential streets“
“LOVE! A brand new find in DTLA. Great value for money. Great flavor. Nice people. Hand made Italian food served with flair. Getting into a 1 Michelin Star Restaurant with no reservation on a busy Saturday night: four people; cocktails, bottle of wine, starters, entrees AND desserts for under $400? PRICELESS. See you again soon, Factory Kitchen. A+Vegetarian options: A few options for veggie friendsParking: Not sure if street parking is paid or unpaid in the evening. Big Valet lot. (Probably safer on the edge of the Arts District)Kid-friendliness: Suppose you could bring them, but naaaah.“
“A very pretty friend and I decided to try Bestia on a Thursday at 5pm. After arriving and entering an outdoor patio that leads into the indoor seating, we couldn't help notice the bright blue wall, nicely trimmed tree, outdoor string lights all coming together to make a quiet eating experience but my pretty woman friend wanted us to experience the inside. Inside was livelier, more people, closely positioned tables, and an open kitchen facing the eating area. Cool modern music that's not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the coconut red chili oil scallops garnished with herbs and a slice of strawberry. I was pleased with the combination of flavors. Then we shared the bone marrow pasta, which was packed with savory flavors and interesting soft textures. It was delicious. Of course, we had to try the herb ceasar salad everyone raves about when talking about Bestia, and the hype is all true. We then shared a marguarita pizza and let me say this, despite the overly salted tomato sauce, the napolitano style crust elevated the rest of the pizza ingredients. I had old sunglasses: a tequila blanco cocktail with sweet citrus flavors all well balanced, I couldn't just have 1. My pretty friend had unsweetened ice tea, which was refreshing with a subtle fruit flavor. For dessert, we shared the chocolate dessert with a crispy sweet and salty crust that complimented the rich thick chocolate mouse that was just the right amount of sweet. It's the kind of place you take an attractive friend you really, really like. Recommend you plan at least a couple of weeks ahead to get a table because this place has a big following.“
“Honestly, came here for the 4.9 rating on Google and the place honestly didn’t disappoint! David is super duper friendly, helped us with some questions and had a smile througout. That’s what i guess good customer service is. They have pizza slices but we ordered a small pesto chicken pizza and it is the BEST i have had till date. The pesto had a nice tangy flavor to it, chicken was cooked to perfection and the crust had just that perfect crunch! This place is a MUST visit. Thank me later :)“
“We were warmly greeted upon arrival. They serve delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. You must give it a try. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. They play light music in the background. The dishes are flavorful. The waiter was attentive. The owner checked in with us and thanked us for eating at his restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.Parking: The restaurant has parking in the back and there's also free street parking.“
“Our first time to LA, from Kentucky. We stayed in a hotel just down the street and stumbled in. The food is fantastic, the menu has something for everyone, the atmosphere is perfect on a rainy LA evening, and the staff is super friendly. I recommend it for anyone who loves Tex-Mex in a great atmosphere. Did I mention the prices of the food? Too Cheap.“
“The welcoming was excellent by the manager and the flexibility to change from outdoor to indoor seating. The food was great. The steak was perfectly cooked and the octopus was tender and savory. The green beans were the exception to the excellence. They were too spicy and it tasted oddly. Manager made it right for us. Thank you!“
“The food was delicious! The pasta freshly made. The service was outstanding! They only charge a 16% fee to help the restaurant/staff, no tip. I felt it wasn’t enough so I wanted to also give a tip and was told no tip needed the check was closed. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Best and most authentic (I believe) Italian food I’ve had in a while! We followed all of the owner’s, Fabrizio’s (from Napoli), recommendations.Appetizer: started with the focaccia board, which included honey, caramelized pears, prosciutto, some other meat, and of course focaccia. It was the most unique appetizer I’ve had and so delicious!Main dish: we had salmone al limone, which had vegetables and mashed potatoes on the side. With the salmon cooked medium and the white wine sauce with lemon juice, it was all so delightful and quite possibly the best tasting salmon I have ever had.Pasta: we had genovese sauce (beef shoulder stewed with minced onions, basil, etc. stewed for 48 hours) with fresh pappardelle pasta. Very rich and delicious!Dessert: we finished with an affogato and was offered to try some dessert wine, Italian moscato with mint leaves on top. The espresso was so flavorful. On top of the food, service was great with Fabrizio, Claude the waiter, and a third waiter. All staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We chose sit outside because it was actually quieter and we wanted the fresh air. They were nice enough to ask if we wanted the heater turned on. Everything was perfect - food, staff, and ambience. We have found our new favorite local Italian restaurant!“
“Malbec was recommended to me by a good friend, and it is now my favorite steakhouse. Not necessarily that they make the best steak ever (9 out of 10), no, it's because almost everything on the menu is delicious. Tons of flavor and cooked to perfection. Been there 3 times and each time was just as perfect as the last. The consistency is terrific and the environment is awesome.“
“The food at Brera makes your taste buds sing! I know it's corny, but it's true. Their green salad has this light dressing that is so refreshing. The prosciutto pizza was to die for. My boyfriend had the Papatelle and I had the Nettle Pasta with walnut. We walked out full with smiles in our face. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. It was outstanding!! Oh, and the drinks are strong and good!“
“The atmosphere is great, youre not going to be disappointed there. Service was fantastic, they work together as a team to clear and get food out quickly. The calamari and rigatoni were enjoyable. Though the mushroom pasta did leave more to be desired, we look forward to dining in again.“
“Those of us who like pizza... have to visit and try these unique delicacies. They have 25 pizzas on the menu. We have 6, we are missing 19. The place is small. They don't sell beers but it's worth it. 2 locations passage to and San Fernando.“
“Was craving for a good italian sub and found this hidden gem near my work! Located across from the hospital. Parking was easy; street and parking lot behind the restaurant. Inside was filled with Italian goodies. They sold alcohol, cookies, bread, pasta, cheese, etc. Towards the back of the restaurant was tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich. Came here for the 1st time with my coworker and we tried the Classic 6' sub with 2 sides. I got the macaroni salad and broccoli salad. The sides tasted ok to me but could be better. However, the sandwich was very tasty. I love how much meat and filling it was. I ate it all! We got a piece of tiramisu and that was very very good! The prices are affordable and the portions are huge. Definitely a place to go for lunch or anytime you are carving for a good Italian sandwich! *TIP: call to place your order if you are in a time crunch. We waited for 30 minutes for our food.“
“I had two prior visits and I have always ordered the same thing, a Margherita Pizza. The first two times the pizza was the best pizza I've had in the Glendale area. The third time I was disappointed. The pizza looked more like your typical local pizza shop cheese pizza. Too much mozzarella cheese. It was smothered with cheese. I believe a true Margherita pizza should have blotches of mozzarella cheese with a basil leaf in the middle of the blotch of cheese. The Margherita pizza colors are suppose to represent the colors of the Italian flag. Unfortunately this one was white and green. Couldn't see the red sauce because...well, you know why. Too much cheese!I will say that the pizza crust is still my favorite. I will return, but next time I'll just have to tell them specifically how I want my pizza made.“
“Me and my husband were looking up for sm good Italian food ,, & hopped into this small little place ,,, the food was amazing , ,,we had shrimp pasta and chicken pasta,, )the service was Grate) ,, the guy personally came up took the order & made it with in no time ,,u hav to try this place ,,Won't regret ?“
“Three generations of our family have been going here since the 1970s. The food is delicious. With your entree you get soup and salad. I got the scampi which is always good. The ice cream, spumoni, is a must. It's authentic. The atmosphere is lovely and just perfect for this restaurant. My dinner party had manicotti which was good. Prices are reasonable and we took leftovers home. Highly recommend .Parking: We got the street parking. The lot is quite small.Kid-friendliness: There is a kid's entree.“
“Beautiful restaurant, elegant and upscale.... A wonderful evening of big band music! Definitely a classy night out and flashback to the 1930's. Food was excellent as well as the service. A bottle of wine for the table although my cousin had a martini that was incredible! Looking forward to experiencing another show....“
“This restaurant is tucked away from the busy part of Little Tokyo. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. We came here for the famous uni pasta and mentai japanese cream pasta. Both were creamy, rich, and filled with umami. The mentai japanese cream one was slightly more fishy than the uni one. Can we talk about the portion sizes? Each plate of pasta was huge! Great value for the price. All pastas come with complementary sad and bread. Save some of the bread to soak up all the pasta sauce!“
“First time here and I have to say, it’s pretty darn good!!! The antipasto salad was loaded with meat and cheese. The garlic bread is very tasty. I had the Chicken Marsala….. It was very good! Everyone was very pleased with their food. Looking forward to trying the pizza next, it looked delicious!!Parking: They have a small parking lot but we had no trouble finding a spot.Kid-friendliness: What kid doesn’t love spaghetti, pasta and pizza??!! Bring them, they will love it!“
“It's fun, it's good, and definitely worth a visit. It's close to Chicago pizza but not quite if you're used to the true thing. But make no mistake I'm not giving that a negative. It's just there's something special about true Chicago deep dish. But since we're not in Chicago this is it baby you'll enjoy it“
“On Friday 08 Mar, Bryan greeted me and my family with open arms and with a big Kool-Aid smile. ?Bryan was very informative of all the wines (Sweet n Dry), he pointed out a sweet wine from Portugal, of which they were promoting at the front entrance. My family and I were pleased with his recommendation because the following day at our baby shower everyone loved it.Bryan congratulated me and my family of our beautiful blessing, because my pregnant fiancé was with me that day. That morning we picked up my fiancé sister from LAX and we decided to stop by for breakfast. And it was a pleasant experience because the breakfast staff greeted us with a smile… a special shout out to Martín! Because he made sure we had everything at our table in a timely manner, and most importantly checked up on us throughout our meal.Funny thing is, when we arrived I really didn’t pay attention to his name tag until after we ate, and we started gathering bottles for the baby shower. It was then I realize… That’s the name my fiancé and I agreed to name our son… Bryan.Once I told Bryan he was very happy for us and bagged our bottles to go.Oh by the way, the breakfast was delicious, we order steak and eggs, French, toast, and eggs, and chicken strips and fries for the kids.“
“Super friendly employees. I had a big order for my husbands birthday and it was ready really quickly. We had a XL pepperoni and my family loved how fluffy the crust was and how cheese it was. We also had the potatoes and some wings. Potatoes weren't too crispy nor soggy. They were made perfect for little kids. The wings were crispy and had a lot of sauce so they weren't dry. Highly recommend this place.“
“Great little pizza place with fast lunch service. Pizza was good, price was right, and the store is clean. They accidentally overcharged me by $0.50, which they realized when they gave me my slices, and immediately offered a cash refund. No need since they deserved that as additional tip.“
“the food and service is immaculate. the owners and servers put in an immense amount of effort to ensure you have a pleasurable time. I had a great conversation with the owner. The food was amazing especially the lasagna and pizza. I 100% recommend“
“I've been coming to Mario's years! Great sandwiches hot and cold, Pizzas are outstanding, fresh made lasagna is to die for. I get my fresh made mozzarella & cannoli shells here and the market is outstanding for Italian food, pasta and all the Italian supplies and spices you'll need. Always get my olive oil from Mario's & if you're lucky, Mario will be out stocking the shelves where you could talk to him. He's retired but still works while his kids run it.“
“All'Aqua was truly enjoyable tonight. I wanted to try a little of everything tonight and will definitely be back to try more dishes. We were treated very well!! The bread was wonderful and the calamari was crunchy and fresh. It was quaint and sort of smelled like an Italian restaurant in Italy which really made me happy. I ordered a Milanese and I thought it was really delicious with a lightly dressed arugula salad for a bit of contrast and to add a bit of freshness. This little restaurant is a must try. I am looking forward to trying other things...perhaps try their pasta or pizza. My only regret was not sitting outside. I am happy I finally tried this quaint Italian eatery.“
“Ordered for pickup and everything was pretty awesome! The jojos spicy pasta was creamy with a kick and the standard pizza was soooo yummy! When I went to pick up the staff greeted me immediately and thanked me for my business which I thought was super sweet. The gelato and cannoli were also super yummy and very flavorful. I would definitely order from here again! ❤️“
“A very happy discovery. After being a bit surprised at the minimum cost at another nearby restaurant, I kept walking. I was drawn to the gas flames of outdoor dining. I found Bacari GDL and was very pleased. The food was excellent. My Bacarita was spicy but refreshing with watermelon to counter the bite. My ceviche was the best I have had. My pork chop with caramelized onions was perfect after a long day. Hannah was a delight in her care of my dining experience. I hope to return to Glendale again to enjoy this gem.“
“Just drove in from San Antonio and stopped in for a bite to eat and we're so glad we did! The Philly cheesesteak was delicious, especially with the jalapeños to give it a little kick. The house salad was super fresh, crisp lettuce and the pepperoni pizza was amazing (crunchy crust).“
“The Capri Club has such a great ambiance & the staff are very friendly. They fill up quickly, but if you stand around the booths, you'll be lucky enough to snag a few! They're known for their spritzs, and I had a few off the menu which were good; but I prefer their selection of wine.“
“I showed up with high expectations, and they were exceeded. Our server guided us through the menu and gave perfect suggestions. The somm was excellent in pairing the meals appropriately, and thus enhancing the experience. I cannot wait to come back to try other menu options.“
“The parking structure was easy to find. I ordered the cannolis and sfogliatelles both of which were amazing. The sfogliatelles were crispy, and the cannoli shells were crunchy. The orange in the custard/ricotta was flavorful! The cashier was very friendly and prompt with serving me!“
“Upon seeing the monstrous wood fired oven, you know you are in for a serious pizza. We had proscuito and calebrese on one pizza we ordered. Tremendous. Beautiful color, chew and char on a crust that proofs for 36 hours. Thin enough to fold, but sturdy enough to hold up the toppings. So much flavor comes through from the fire and smoke of the oven. You can tell the dude man who was running the front of the house has serious love for the place. Very sincere, very authentic. This is not a whatever pizza joint. Its one of those restaraunts that is more than the sum of its parts. This place has vision and heart and you see it, feel it and taste it.“
