“The human touch of a bowl of noodles⋯When I used to work at a newspaper in Mengcheng City, I would go to this Shanghai aunt’s noodle shop with other reporters to dine ?She remembered our preferences and faces after several visits. We didn’t meet for a while after leaving the job. One day we met by chance on the road, and my aunt still remembered me!After chatting for a while and saying goodbye, she said that she wanted to treat her to a meal next time she went to a restaurant. I didn't take it to heart. Until a few days ago, I drove by and wanted to eat their bowl of noodles. When I walked in, she was talking on the phone to take orders. When she saw my eyes widened, she asked me to sit down. Not long after, my dry noodles were served. Plus a red oil snack as a treat.This bowl of noodles is quite special. It is neither fried noodles nor sesame noodles, but fried sesame noodles mixed with two sauces. The menu is called "Strange Flavor Noodles". The taste is quite rich. When eating, you should mix it with raw cucumber. The noodles, sauce and refreshing cucumber naturally form a delicious balance that makes you want to take another bite.Maybe it's so strange. After eating it for the first time, I ordered this bowl of noodles from the store every time I came back. Several times when I walked into the store, my aunt yelled at the kitchen, knowing that this was what I ordered.While eating noodles, we talked about many things, including the decline of the newspaper office, and many people left! There are all new faces now, and the lively scenes before are no longer there. I smiled and said, many old employees should come back to see you, right? She laughed and said that it was true. “Finally had a chance to visit one of their pop ups at the corner of pomona and atlantic. It isn't fast food, but it's certainly worth the wait. A little pricey, but I ask them to throw everything in there. And I think that they needed to cook some sausages, so it took about fifteen or twenty minutes, but again worth the wait“

“The drinks are a little on the sweet side, but from what I've had so far, you can tell they really use tea. Also their matcha is superb, both their lattes and the hojicha drinks. The tapioca pearls are also just right in chewiness. The fruit teas are ok; I taste the tea base but the fruit can sometimes taste pretty artificial. Overall, very solid drinks and I go back when I'm in the area. I always recommend The Tea to friends.“

“This place got some new drinks. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their new choco strawberry frosty and strawberry Hokkaido milk tea to try. The frosty had an icy, rich, deeply chocolatey base with a creamy, tangy, cheesey strawberry foam. Legit a desert drink. My fave was definitely the strawberry Hokkaido milk tea tho. Very floral, milky, and sweet, with plenty of jiggly strawberry jellies. Overall these were lowkey pretty good.

“We ordered the eggplant, water spinach (kangkong), steamed sole fish, pork chop in Peking sauce, wanton/beef brisket and noodles in soup, and kungpao chicken. It was all so delicious, the portions are generous, and service is fast & pleasant. There were 4 adults and 2 kids and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Highly recommended.“

“This place is open from morning until 4 PM. The soondubu (soft tofu stew) is freshly made every day, so it’s always very fresh. They also offer soy milk made from ground soybeans, available in both sweetened and unsweetened versions. However, it takes quite a long time after ordering for the food to arrive. Thai tea, Thai-chata, strawberry vortex, pineapple escape, milky way taro, polar pomegranate are just a few that I've tried and would recommend but everything including food is so good. Their customer service is also great! Always a pleasant experience for us. We've "cheated" and have gone to other boba places when traveling but it's not the same. “I work across the street so i often go to canes during my lunch break, this canes always has very fast service and quality sweet tea which is my favorite. I'd like to point out that Mariah at the front is always very quick and kind as well as listen to my personal request for my meals. Shannon who i believe is in a managerial position is also always so kind and greets everyone with a smile. They both help with the atmosphere of eating at canes. Great crew overall definitely worth coming by and if there is anything ever wrong with your meal just let them know they will HELP!“
