“This place is an institution on the Monterey Peninsula. I've been coming to the Alvarado Street location for decades. I can't pick ONE favorite-- the glazed doughnuts are classic perfection. Love their blueberry donuts, too. Once in a while, I'll splurge on a custard bar. That pastry cream... chocolate frosting-- billions of calories, but so good! Friendly service, and love their $5 a dozen special. NOBODY makes donuts as good as Red's. Nobody!“
