“This place had all the vibes of the perfect donut shop, from the delicious donuts to the lovely atmosphere. Stopped by on break to grab an apple fritter, which was excellent, and the jelly filled options are also excellent. The shop owners were kind and inviting, and I highly recommend everyone stop by to try out their selection. (note: they are cash only, but there is an ATM on site)

Parking: Parking in San Francisco is either super easy or impossible, depending on how lucky you are.

“Teresa and her team are always exceptional at this location - Happy Donuts on Winchester Blvd. I come in for the seasonal favorites but have never been disappointed as you see a lot of local, familiar faces as this is also a great place to stop by or meet up with someone that you know. I love their French Twists or Crullers here that's usually my go-to, when they had the pumpkin donuts they were running out all the time. The best touch with the breakfast sandwiches, yes they have more than donuts, you can often get a bagel or breakfast sandwhich with your choice of bread or croissant if the have it, is the little mini chili. I was reluctant to try it but it was just the right level of spice and so unique. If you're looking for beyond donuts, sometimes you can also ask for smoothies they do advertise them as well especially if you want protein and smoothie for the health focused or gym folks coming from nearby the shopping center. I mean donuts are supposedly healthier than bagels and I read on a social media post donuts have saved many, many relationships including marriages, boyfriend and girlfriends, families, business partnerships etc. as you can never go wrong with apology donuts or donuts to make things better between groups of people.“

But the next day I went early in the AM and bought the same cinnamon roll and glaze twist, it was very dry. “Hooz Donuts seriously impressed me. This was hands down one of the best glazed donuts I’ve had in San Jose. The glaze had that perfect balance, sweet but not overwhelming, and the texture was spot on: light, fluffy, and fresh with just the right amount of chew.

You can tell it’s made well. The outside had a slight crisp from the glaze, while the inside stayed soft and airy. Every bite felt fresh, not greasy at all, which is rare for a glazed donut.

If you’re in San Jose and craving a classic done right, this place is definitely worth it. I’ll be coming back for sure.“

They are pretty neat, basically a croissant donut mix.

Overall they aren't too different from most other donut stores but at their price point and options, they're a good choice to visit if local.“

“Happy Donut has been a staple place for donuts in San Jose for a long time. My family and I have been going here for years, but it's been a while since I last visited and I was happy to find that the donuts are still delicious (and super fresh) as they always have been. They were also kind enough to throw in some extra donut holes. And you know it's a legit donut shop when it comes in a pink box! I've never had any issues with parking and am usually in and out cause that's just how fast they are.“

“I recently tried a sandwich and donut shop that’s now under new management, and I was really impressed. I ordered the turkey avocado croissant sandwich along with a Vietnamese coffee, and both were excellent. The sandwich was delicious—fresh veggies, great flavor, and perfectly balanced. Even better, the sandwiches are under $10, which is rare these days.

The Vietnamese coffee had just the right kick and paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.

Plus, to our delight, when we got home we realized that they threw in a couple extra donut holes so we got a total of 15! ?The ube donut had a nice slight crunch to the exterior and the inside was really moist and tasty. “Happy Donuts has been our family's favorite donut shop for years! We used to come here with the previous owners, and when the new owners took over they completely remodeled and upgraded everything while still keeping that welcoming neighborhood feel we loved.
The food is AMAZING and the menu is huge. They have everything from classic donuts and super fancy donuts and bagels to breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and even yummy Thai tea. Our absolute favorites are the glazed cronut holes and the crème brûlée donuts, SO good!!!
The staff is always really cheerful, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I have 3 girls and they always make a point to greet them too, which honestly means so much as a parent. You can tell they really care about their customers and the community.

So just fyi.... they're delivery option sucks and their order system is fricken horrible. They don't honor orders...at all! Ya just lost a long time customer. Never supporting this chain again.
