“We went there on the New Year’s Eve at almost 2pm, when we walked in the restaurant there were full of customers but the waiters were very nicely and quickly to guide us to a seat even though they were close by 2 pm. Their seafoods are fresh and delicious with warmly and friendly services.“

It’s perfect for corporate and tour groups and celebrations, offering a spacious layout, al fresco dining upstairs and downstairs with great views of the Monterey Harbor, and a comfortable bar area also with fantastic views. The restaurant is very well run, with professional and friendly servers and hostesses who make the experience seamless. They welcome families and with the big space and a variety of seating options, it's a great choice.

For lunch yesterday, everything was delicious. They have a big menu with lots of choices. The Jumbo Coconut Prawns with chunks of sweet mango were crispy and wonderful, the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad was excellent, and the garlic bread was crunchy, tasty and fresh. Special thanks to our server, Jorge Ranilo, who was superb—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very experienced. He made our visit especially enjoyable.

“We enjoyed the mini black pearl platter, it was plenty for a family of four and €200 plus tip. It was great fun trying to extract every last bit our teenage kids loved it. We enjoyed a window seat so looked out over the harbour. The platter included Clam Chowder, King Crab, Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab, Lobster, Jumbo Prawns, mini prawns, clams and mussels.“

“I brought out-of-town guests to Abalonetti's. They were impressed with both the menu and the food they ordered. One guest said the lobster ravioli was the best she's ever had. I'd agree--I had it too. Service was fast and not at all intrusive. We loved the pidgeons that occasionally walked through. I'll keep bringing visitors here!“

The chef was willing to substitute mushrooms for meat on a pasta dish that ended up being my favorite entree I've ever had. They were also able to fit us in without a reservation both times. “What a great little restaurant! We happened to find it after we didn’t want to park a half mile away to go to a local place on the wharf. The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We started with crab cakes then the beet salad and finished with the Seafood Pasta. The cream sauce in the pasta was epic. They grill the bread before bringing it out, sooo good. We were visiting from LA on our anniversary and they were so kind to give us a complimentary cheesecake dessert. My wife loves bread and they even made us a fresh batch to go, with our leftover salad. Can’t recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and get over here soon!“

Yes it’s pricey, but so is everything else in the area!!! My wife had the crab special and I had the ribeye, BEST food we have had in 5 days! “Absolutely fantastic! Full Moon is just the spot that Alvarado Street needs. The menu was loaded with classic and traditional dishes. We found ourselves enjoying a bowl of hot and sour soup with a side of spicy sauce wantons! It went perfect with a few cups of green tea. To bring everything together we had the Szechuan scallops. Can't get enough of there wood ear mushrooms. 🍄 The service was very professional and we felt cared for throughout our meal. Will be returning soon to try more extravagant dishes.“

They were so right ... the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch! Our server, Serena, was an absolutely delightful young lady and helped us order a selection of foods that were all amazing! The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water offered spectacular views. Next time we visit the area, there will definitely be a return trip to Lalla Grill!“
