I half-expected to walk outside and find a brass band on the corner! We started with the soft-shelled crab and grits, perfectly crisp and full of Southern comfort. The roasted catfish with lump crab was delicate yet decadent, each bite melting in your mouth. Even the bread and butter were unforgettable — the sweet Creole butter was so good we could’ve made a meal out of it alone. Our bourbon cocktails were spot-on — smooth, balanced, and crafted with care — and we finished with the bread pudding drizzled in warm bourbon sauce, which was heavenly. “Absolutely love this place! Went there to celebrate my friend's birthday. Got there at 11am and had to wait 30 minutes because it is a popular place, but again, worth it. Staff is very friendly. Our waitress was super attentive without being hovering. My friend had a Chicken wrap and I had the Chicken Paninni on sourdough. I upgraded from the kettle chips to their small crock of French Onion soup. Both of our orders were delicious. We choose to sit outside in their patio. So, relaxing and a bit more quieter for us older folks who have trouble hearing. We even had a friendly blue bird visit our table. Very polite, didn't try to swipe our food like a seagull would.“

Chicken is always juicy; the rice is always flavorful; the salad has the perfect acidity level and balance of components; hummus is clearly house-made; the toum is rich and potent.

The food is great, and the entire place is usually run by one fella, so have some patience- it's not McDonalds, it won't be ready in 30 seconds.

Slow down and enjoy yourself- well worth the wait. Don't bother with food delivery, just drive down there like a normal human being.

“I live in Nebraska and visit southern California once or twice a year. I always make it a point to stop in for a Carnelian and a Mediterranean with chicken. They have the best crust I have ever had and the toppings are superb. I love that they use red onions rather than white or yellow. I highly recommend them as both a foodie and a chef. I've had some good pizza, but I have yet to find such an amazing crust anywhere else. It's yeasty and well structured. I could swear they are utilizing an old dough proofing method by the taste and chewiness of the crust. The owner is awesome and I always have a great experience.“
