“Went there with my friend and we were in the mood for dosa. I ordered onion masala dosa and she got a plain masala dosa. Both dishes were yummy! We ordered utthapam also but that was a bit too batter-y.
Dosa though was very authentic and for the first time, I tried sambhar that actually was worth finishing. Will definitely be going back for dosa.
One note though- please bring out all the food at once.“

“Wow amazing and beautiful restaurant. As we entered, was warmly greeted by Likita and her colleague. They were both super sweet and welcoming. The food was amazing👏, pure blend of traditional Indian spices where the flavours of south india incorporates with north india, well proportioned size that fits family of 5. The food is made to order, super fresh juicy and tender .The restaurant has music to enlighten your night, strengthens your taste buds while enjoying your family time. We also was acknowledged by the restaurant owner who came to connect with us. Hence overall its a 10 star restaurant with 10 star food. I recommend everyone to visit this place. Its worth it.“

“I had the Tellicherry Chicken Dum Biryani at Kovalam Restaurant in Tracy this weekend, and it was outstanding. I have tried dum biryani from almost all the Indian restaurants in Tracy, but this one truly stands out.
They use traditional Kaima rice, a short-grain, fragrant rice from Kerala that is different from the long basmati rice most people are used to. The grains are small, soft, slightly plump, and absorb the spices beautifully, giving the biryani a rich, layered flavor in every bite. It makes the dish taste authentic and deeply satisfying.
The chicken was tender and lightly shallow-fried before being layered into the dum, which gave it an amazing texture and depth of flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, and the aroma was incredible. You can really taste the attention to detail by owner-operator Chef Philip.
It reminded me of authentic Dum biryani back home.
Highly recommend everyone to give it a try. If you want true Tellicherry (Malabar)-style Dum biryani in Tracy, this is the place.“

“Dhaba is our only go to place for Indian cuisine. The service and food is top notch. This time we would try the new online platform form. Easy ordering through the new online platform, yet will not use the platform again due to the fees and other unacceptable costs calculated. An $80 order turned into $95 to take out. Don’t fix what was previously not broken.“

“AMAZING service!! I accidentally spilled my water and the waiter was on it. He was so attentive all the way through, and he was quick to bring us anything we needed - and we were definitely a needy table! The food was INCREDIBLE! I convinced my dad to try the kaida (?) chicken and it was so delicious, I want to order it next time! I ordered the goat biryani and it was fabulous. The flavors were complex and rich, and I have so much left over! Definitely a fair price for how much food you get. I highly recommend this place!“

“We had Spicy Bites cater my wife’s birthday party yesterday, and the food was outstanding. They offered a great range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The appetizers were fantastic — the gobi Manchurian was flavorful, the chicken sixty five was delicious, and the Parangkori fish was absolutely awesome. For the main dishes, we had the paneer tikka masala and paneer Vijayawarra biryani, both excellent vegetarian choices. The Ambur mutton biryani was equally impressive. Best of all, their banquet service was seamless and really helped us host an awesome party. Every single dish was incredibly tasty, and all of our guests were genuinely impressed. Highly recommend Spicy Bites for any event or catering need“
