“This coffee shop is beyond cute and gives off a certain cozy vibe. I wish it had its own location vs in the train station as I don't feel safe going in there alone which is the only reason I'm giving them a 4 star review. Their gelato ice cream is very creamy and great! I love ordering the cafe de olla latte it's very flavorful. I also like the vanilla latte. The owner is there working all the time and overall everyone is very friendly.“
“More food options than the Cheesecake Factory, and it’s all vegan! You MUST try the pazole! It’s the perfect colder weather soup or for if you’re feeling spicy. They are a fusion pick up counter style restaurant and one of my all time favorites! Please check them out and become a regular if you live in the area!“
“We recently discovered the amazing Waypoint Cafe and had to share! From the warm welcome to the incredible food, this hidden gem has it all. The cafe can get busy, so arrive early (they close at 3 pm). Their carne asada omelette, tri-tip sandwich, and must-try lemon pancakes are simply delicious. Don't forget to try their refreshing mimosas too! We can't wait to go back for more unforgettable moments.“
“Amazing lattes! My friend and I got four shots in a large and they were perfect. The service is really great, super friendly and helpful. The avocado toast was delicious!! We loved the comfy couch where we could sit and chat and eat and drink!“
“This is The Cutest lil hidden gem just steps away from the beach. Come grab some Delicious grub and enjoy it here or at the beach! Definitely a fun cafe with huge portions, even the Mimosas were HUGE! ?? I recommend for the great service and food but most of all it's on the way to the Beach ?I love the sand everywhere ?“
“This place is the local's favorite for good reason. Meats are expertly smoked, and their sandwich and other dishes are prepared perfectly. My personal favorite is their tri-tip sandwich "cheese-steak style" - like a little bit of heaven on bread! If you're visiting Oxnard, this is a must visit restaurant!“
“Strey has been open approximately for 10 years. My husband and I ended up coming here for a wine tasting practically when they first opened. Katie, one of the owners had helped us with our tasting and was always so nice, professional, and made great tasting wines. We hadn't been back for over 5 years due to the pandemic and simply being into wine, not being into wine, and now back again. Recently, we ended up coming by Strey for a tasting. We met Scott, the other owner and Katie's husband, who greeted us and gave us a tasting of 5 excellent wines. Plus their wine tasting menu has expanded to include sparking wine (it's only called "champagne" if made in a region of Champagne, France), white and red wines as well as dessert wines. There are also several wines to look forward to come back for a tasting for, try a glass of, or buy a bottle of. My husband and I shared a tasting, and agreed that all the tastings were delicious, although I personally favored the red wines on the tasting list (the Pinot Noir and Petite Syrah blend). In general, I tend to prefer red wines, but the white wine were also delicious! Plus, the winery has several events like an ugly Christmas party, bands that come in throughout the month, glass painting, and several other events! Also, Scott let us try a teeny bit of their dessert wines - and we found ourselves having to buy a bottle of our favorite! Strey is an excellent place to try out different wines, converse, and relax. Thank you to the owners of Strey for making this a comfortable, pleasant, and delicious experience for me 10 years ago - and even now!“
“When I drove up I wasn't sure if I was at the right spot. Keep driving, Topa is located at the very end. I met a group of friends here on a Friday after work. This huge space has lots of area to enjoy.Get space to enjoy a drink and let your little one explore. Some type of Reís, 9.8“
“I loved visiting this location, from their decor to their bright colors that catch your attention. I got a large bowl and added nutella to it which was so good. You don't hear often of places that add nutella to acai bowls so this was a nice touch! I also had the chicken empanada which was very tasty and had lots of flavor. The only thing I was not a huge fan was the protein machine smoothie due to the hemp seed overpowering it too much. It needed a sweeter flavor in my opinion. Staff was very friendly as well and if you have any questions they are glad to help you out!“
“I have lived in Camarillo for 5 years and have relatives and been coming back and forth Camarillo for years, I'm not sure how I missed This spot, but when I found it it's been my constant go to. I constantly meet my friends there. Coffee is good Affogato or however it's spelled is very good! Cookies are also another favorite. I'm not much of a sweet tooth type of person, but 85% of the time I end up getting a cookie. Staff is nice and friendly, great place to bring my wife and daughter to play board games or card games.“
“I only tried the gyros so far, but it was delicious. This is an authentic Greek restaurant that offers high quality freshly prepared dishes. I look forward to trying other items from the menu the next time I stop there.Parking: Huge parking lot that is shared with many businesses“
“We have been coming to Lazy Dogs for years. It’s my father’s favorite place. However he got sick and can’t come anymore. Lauren always welcomes us with a smile and a hug. She is amazing and truly cares. How lucky Lazy Dogs is to have her. And so are we♥️“
“Love this place! The wines are always excellent and the servers are knowledgeable and helpful. My favorite is the create your own charcuterie, where you get to choose your own cheeses and meats. I've never seen that anywhere before and it makes for such a fun and unique experience. Everything here is delicious.“
“I'm a big fan of MadeWest Brewing Company! Their Hazy IPA has become a go-to beer for me no matter the occasion. So, I was very excited to check out their brewery in Ventura when the opportunity presented itself. My experience here did not disappoint. I found this location to be fairly low-key, providing the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon drink. Service was nice and friendly. Being a big Hazy IPA fan, I can be pretty picky about the taste and quality. That has never been a concern with MadeWest, as they consistently serve one of the best Hazy IPAs out there. Go ahead and check this place out!“
“Amazing food, great service and perfect for a group or if you're flying solo. Japanese pot stickers were delicious and the Kowsoi, most definitely recommend! Portion was filling and satisfying. I will definitely recommend to everyone I know and will be returning.“
“Good food, lovely service, and great selections of BBQ foods. Would recommend everything in the meal except the pizza. It was a bit underwhelming. Other then than great friendly and lovely staff and good food. Just know that parking is tight and small.“
“Great place for appetizers, happy hour, ambience, and good music. We saw Smokey and Friends play, they were so good I don't think I'd ever wanna come back unless they were playing. The service was a bit slow. And we had to keep flagging down our waitress. If you are looking for a big meal, don't. All the plates are pretty small. Other than their salad, they look large and amazing.“
“The food was very delicious and the restaurant had excellent service. Received the food quickly and the staff were very respectful and kind. Along with great service and dishes, there was an excellent atmosphere and beautiful view outdoors! Definitely recommend paneer tikka masala and chicken tikka masala! Eating here again for sure!“
“This place is so cute! The atmosphere was so welcoming and the service was great. The girl at the counter gave us recommendations on things to do in the area. Also, the cookies were amazing. Their gluten free cookies were the best we have ever had. The chai tea was great too. ?“
“Always enjoyable Adolfo Grill!! We love the atmosphere and the food. The bar area is fun and lively. The dining area can be intimate or family fun. This evening, my boyfriend ordered the daily special Porterhouse, seasoned and cooked to perfection. We also had the popular fish and chips, grilled lemon chicken and the small plate of salmon skewers, which was actually a perfect dinner size. The service is always wonderful. It's a favorite spot for special occasions or dinner with friends.“
“Had dinner Saturday night with my wife, food was amazing. We started with the mussels as an appetizer then I had the crab and spinach salad and my wife had the cave salad add salmon. Everything about it was amazing. Especially the service, Sarah was our main server but we also were helped by a Rachel and Megan. We sometimes forget about the cave with its location but it’s a place we’ve always loved and and enjoyed when we get the chance to get in.“
“It's like being at your favorite tia's house! You feel at home having conversations sharing a joke and laugh all whole having a delicious meal. They start off by bringing a basket of mini muffins with a variety of flavors freshly baked and rotating so it's a surprise each visit. The energy is very old school there's no feeling of judgement it really brings back an old school Americana vibe I haven't seen in this country for a long time. I ordered up the NY steak and eggs with grilled onions on top and it was a nice sized steak seasoned well to the point that you didn't need steak sauce a welcome steak compared to many others I've had who have to hide the blandness behind sauces. The hashbrowns crispy exterior and flush interior with some tapatio and ketchup was perfect to pair with the steak. A great start to any day and a welcome vibe of OG America“
“Super classy great food/service at reasonable price - in historic surroundings. We visited for our anniversary, and I can’t recall a more enjoyable evening. The settings & furniture were exquisite. Get to your reservation a little early and enjoy the surrounding historical buildings gathered from around Oxnard into a Heritage Center. Each property has a little description that is quite educational. Or, wait until you’ve enjoyed the great food for that after-dessert stroll. The food was amazing, from Mahi Salad to full steak dinner with excellent merlot. Same a few sips of that red wine to enjoy with their chocolate cake with raspberry, whipped cream & pecan topping. Whew. As you can witness with the photo, the servings are huge. (We took home another full meal - really.)“
“I don't write reviews often, but I approached Xiomara when I received my to-go order and asked her name to write her a review. She was stellar. Absolutely on top of things, checking on orders, apologizing for any delays, verifying things were correct, and all over the place from behind the counter to helping package and distribute meals - all in a very calm and humble manner. I don't think she is the manager, but she has great qualities for that role if she ever aspires to do that. Thank you for excellent service and making my experience a great one!“
“No-frills place (actually under-frilled, if that's possible)... but delicious food. We got Korean Tacos and a Shrimp Po Boy to share. I thought the sandwich was really good and I'd come back for it, and the tacos were even better and I can't wait to get them again. The only thing that would make this place better is if they tidied up the hallway leading to the restroom more and didn't have spare boxes of service items sitting around.“
“Bottomless Mimosa for 20 dollars for and 1hr30min. Food is delicious! Service is great, located in a popular part downtown. Dogs are allowed from what I can tell for outdoor seating. Spanish/English speaking atmosphere if you're bilingual. No complaints! Must go to!“
“A perfectly good little coffee shop tucked away in the back in the Dos Vientos neighborhood. As others noted it can be a little hard to find without directions but thankfully it's located in the main business/church area in this neighborhood that we found it after a quick little drive around.Honey Cup has multiple locations in Ventura County and this location is definitely peaceful and in the sleepier part of town. Great for sitting outside with your coffee to relax or catch up on some reading as it's quiet. The inside also wasn't super busy on a weekend morning so it's safe to say that you'll get a pretty nice experience given that it's not as busy as some of their other locations could be. The atmosphere is definitely a 5/5 in terms of cozy cute coffee shop vibes. I liked that they had a little bit of swag in the form of coffee cups and sweaters. The interior was cozy with leather couches and stools, also the high ceilings and mindful music volume made this a nice spot to sit inside.Service was friendly and thorough. You can either order at a screen or order up at the counter with a live person. I opted to order at the counter with a nice gentlemen as there was no line. He was friendly and efficient. No frills service but nice. I was impressed by the menu as they have a large drink and food selection. I also appreciated the more unique flavors like a honey lavender lemonade and jasmine plum mocha. I definitely want to come back to try these drinks, as I wasn't feeling too adventurous today.I went with a maple cinnamon latte and a Nutella pastry. My friend ordered a cold brew and a biscuit with strawberry jam. We had mixed reviews and liked the opposites of what we ordered. I like my pasty more than my friend liked her biscuit but she loved her cold brew where my latte was just okay. Nutella Pastry: 5/5 - the pastry was massive but oh so delicious. The pastry was buttery, flaky, and fresh. Loved the Nutella drizzle and chocolate chips, definitely a mega splurge but it was really good.Maple Cinnamon Latte: 3/5 - my latte was just okay. The flavor was mild but more than anything the latte was just too watered down for me. I would skip their lattes and go with something else. It was fine but not my favorite.Service & Ambiance: 4.5/5 - very cozy and comfortable inside. Friendly staff and I enjoyed the different seating arrangements and areas to sit inside and outside. A cute coffee shop and I would love to come back to try some more of their speciality drinks and breakfast items.“
“The 2 brothers and their wives (who are sisters) own and run this winery. The sisters dad also helps out. I enjoy coming here to taste, drink and buy wine. They have fun wine pick up parties. Elissa and Holly (the sisters) are very welcoming and friendly. They make coming here fun!“
“Great place. Good beer, great service. Topa Topa is where the employees from other local breweries go when they aren't working. I know because they are very open about it, from what I experienced. My opinion says Topa Topa is better. I wonder why? That says a lot!Freda's pizza is great. Bill has quite an impressive operation. Customer service is always their number one priority.I once had a complaint bc they made the wrong pizza, due to my party's miscommunication, and difficult pizza. Sorry! The owner walks out and says he accepts the blame, and personally made the right one. And asked us to also keep the other one, which I actually liked. It was the people we were with who had the specific order. They didn't say we, the customers, were in the wrong. The opposite happens at another large brewery in town. That really turned me off. Taking sides with the staff over the paying customers will never keep a customer-reliant business open...in the long run. Bad reputations get around and cannot be changed once the 'cement' is poured and dried in the public's opinion.Topa Topa has a great patio with live music often. The beers are fresh here and a great location. No wonder the other large brewery's staff flocks to Topa Topa. I'm my opinion, it's just because it's friendly and Topa Topa cares about the community and it's most valued customers.I just noticed also that Jack, owner/founder of Topa Topa, even replies to Yelp posts. He clearly doesn't take his customers for granted. Excellent.Oh one more thing, the other brewery told me it was inappropriate to be taking photos at the bar bc the staff felt uncomfortable. Topa Topa appreciates guests taking photos and sharing. Here are some! Thanks for letting me take these photos Topa Topa! They are just for the Untappd app.Cheers! Come on down to Topa Topa“
“Consistently outstanding in all aspects. Lot of choices on regular menu, with a few specials offered each night. Wine list is OK but could use a few new options. Quality of food also great. Have been dining here for over twenty years and have never had a subpar meal. Service is attentive and top notch.“
“Plenty of parking, 23 different beers to choose from. Mike greeted as we walked in, being a newbie to beer I wasn't sure of what to get so Mike made some suggestions & allowed me to try a few. I was so appreciative because I got to pick one I really enjoyed! He totally made my experience memorable & wanting to come back again!!!Bar seating, hight tables & picnic tables are all available.... good for a single person all the way up to a huge party, 7 arcade machines available to play & 2 single restrooms unisex available.“
“We go for the lunch special. It's delicious, good size portions and a friendly to the budget price. I get the one of their salads with a beer. I like their jalapeño beer, but the best is the Thai chili beer. Amazing beer with a touch of spicy. My husband always, and I do mean always, has the chipotle pizza. He always tries a new beer. The servings are perfect size for sharing. So our lunch is pizza, salad and beer for each. Perfect!“
“This might be my favorite little pub in the entire world. A block from Silver Strand Beach where you can watch the sunset and grab a brewski. Jim and August are genuinely lovely people who create a fun and welcoming environment for all who enter. Also one of the few pubs to offer Harp Lager which is one of my faves. The popcorn, board games, comfy couches, and back patio are all big plusses. The regulars at The Beachcomber Tavern also bring their pups, and Einstein is the best one! Definitely worth a visit if you're a local or just popping by from out of town. Much love from an old Newbury Park native now on the East Coast. You all made this trip home so worth it. Can't wait to come back and visit you all again!“
“Extremely crowded and noisy dining area. The food took lots of time to prepare but was neatly presented. The servers were gracious but the dining room is clearly understaffed. Other than the ambiance, which was great , I did not enjoy the evening at this place.“
“This was my first visit and I'm happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I can understand the name, "Hidden Cafe". Our car GPS was even off by one street; I think this was the fault of poor phone reception on my part. This little gem of a restaurant was well worth the visit. The food was fantastic, with many choices to try on future visits. I'm my opinion the food was priced just right, no prices seemed out of line. The servers were very attentive and the refills on drinks and extra napkins were quick to arrive at our table. There is inside seating and patio seating. Space heaters too for chilly days. It's easy off and on the 101 freeway at the Camarillo Springs exit. I ordered chili Verde omelet with flour tortillas and O'brian (sp?) potatoes. Fresh salsa on request. So tasty ?“
“We are new to Camarillo! We eat out a ton, so we are always looking for new places . We came here on a busy Sunday morning ( 2/25 at around 10:40 am) This cute downtown breakfast spot was really good! Food was really good, waitress so stupendous... there was a young man there that was really personable and was working his tail off!! Not sure if he was the manager or owner but his attention alone would make me come back to this restaurant. We had the Avocado toast ( exceptional ) and a yummy scramble! Food was hot and served promptly. I am deducting a star be the hostess was rude! Young gal, treated us like an inconvenience! To the owner or manger of this place.. your hostess is the first impression people get! She was rude and treated us like an inconvenience!! Everything else was stellar!“
“Can't believe I haven't written a review for Poseidon. It's a nice and fun place to go too. Especially if there's an event going on. I primarily go when there's events and I will say it gets pretty busy. Plenty of space even though at times it might not feel that way. Haha. During events they even block off their back area and set up tables which is nice. Plenty of space back there for my little one to walk and run. They don't have food. They do have food trucks from time to time. You would just need to see their schedule/instagram account if they have someone. They have food vendors when they do events which is why I primarily go then. I would say there's plenty of parking. They are in an industrial part. You might just have to walk a bit. Now about their beer. I drink IPAs. I believe I have had all of them. They are very delicious. Grapefruit is my favorite. Like how they have a variety of different kinds to choose from though. Their Oktoberfest one was really good. Loved the boot. Overall, I come about once a month sometimes more. My family and I have enjoyed coming. We will continue to go.“
“Their deli is a hidden gem.A friend recently tried their jam packed classic Italian sub and it looked so good I had to try it myself.I never even knew this deli existed.Jim happily welcomed my family for the 1st time and was kind enough to let us sample some of their fresh homemade bread and a hot calabrese that I might like in my sub.Sandwich itself was both delicious & stuffed with a heaping portion of ingredients like peppers, provolone and more. (Best part is whatever you like they’ll find a recommendation fit for you in a sandwich)Definitely would be back ??“
“The lemon kebob chicken plate was so so delicious, the salad was very fresh and healthy. The cooks did a great job. My server was Estevan who was very helpful and professional and so was the rest of the staff. I highly recommend Luna Grill.“
“The curry is amazing. Hidden gem. Michelin guide MUST come here. Thai curries have been another symbol of the diverse food culture in LA and THIS place needs to be recognized for their food integrity and authenticity. If you love authentic Thai, Suvarnaphumi (named after Thailand’s airport) truly bursts your tastebuds into a whole other dimension.Order: Avocado Green Curry, Yellow Currry, Handmade eggrolls w/pork, Filled fried wontons, Tom Yum soup, Peach iced teaWorth the drive! Just do it.“
“I absolutely adore this Filipino style coffee shop!! I come here very often, trying new items from the menu each time. I especially recommend the chicken adobo, and the house favorite Filipino donut is super yummy(everything is freshly made as well) I am always pleased with the service. Even when the shop is busy I never have to wait long to get my order. Just a tip, I recommend ordering in store rather than ordering online because the online menu is being updated. Super friendly and welcoming staff too, great way to start off the day with a good conversation :) It’s not very often you find such a unique place around this area, definitely adds more liveliness(+deliciousness)Always great to try something new.I hope this helps another coffee lover out there!!“
“2 weeks ago, I went to Somis Cafe, for lunch and had delicious steak burrito, and my wife ordered Chile Relleno to sample, which was like having it made in your kitchen at home., incredible, and delicious. The next 2 times, Chile Rellenos and Chile Colorado, orgasmic, to the taste buds, with a large Jamaica, excellent. As I'm now in NorCal, I, SO MISS, SOMIS Cafe and Market, and shout out to Dorothy, who took great care of us, making sure that we had everything that we ordered. I will be back, they are authentic and delicious. 5 Stars.“
“Tasting Flight: $20/tasting for 5 pours (and possibly an additional pour at the end). First visit and got to meet both Frank (Winemaker) & Jen (Hospitality), the gracious owners of Back Patio Cellars. Hidden within a business park, this boutique winery and cider house offers something for everyone. They have a cute tasting room, and of course a "back patio" area, but we preferred the comfy "living room" seating area inside the barrel room (I love a nice barrel room). One minor complaint is that they don't have a printed tasting list, or even a comprehensive list of their wines/prices. WINES: We were able to try a '21 Albarino, a '19 Viognier, a '20 Rosé of Granache, a '19 carbonic Cabernet Sauvignon, a '20 Syrah, and a '16 Cab Sauv. from Lodi. We loved the two whites, and the Syrah and Lodi Cab, taking home several bottles. My mother-in-law had a glass of their Cinnabon cider, which was quite nice. They had nine flavors of cider on tap the day of our visit. No food available, other than bags of chips, but feel free to bring your own munchies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and tasty wines/ciders! Overall, we had a nice experience getting to know Jen & Frank and trying their wines. IMO, Back Patio Cellars is definitely worth a visit.“
“We enjoyed the show they presented in the evening. We saw the Irish Tenor, Paul Byrom. He is great at putting together a fun set of songs, adding history about the song, and interjecting funny bits into his show. The winery has good food and there pizzas are worth the stop. We didn't try the beer or wine but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying their choices.“
“We did have to wait about 25 minutes for a table for 4- but this was during happy hour on a Friday around 4pm. Thankfully we sat in time for happy hour with just a few minutes to spare. I believe her name was Arielle - the waitress. She attended us and was 100 percent pleasant to interact with. She was exceptionally nice and attentive shoutout to her! Food was great and so were the beers - even though it was a full house the rest of the servers brought us our drinks suprisingly quick- I’m talking literally about 3 minutes after we ordered! The food was served very fast too within about 15 minutes. Ambiance was very nice too. It was my first time there but we will definitely be going back.“
“The draught lager beers were flat no head on the beer so nxt visit I'd advise to get bottle beer I did try explaining but the young lady didn't know what I was talking about the food was ok pub meal I returned nxt day as was on holiday had sausage mash and baked beans which in my experience were not heinz baked beans as they say on menu but mash sausage was very nice I did visit 4 times in a wk“
“Yolandas is my favorite Mexican restaurant. But this particular place in victoria is way better than any branch ive been. This one has an outdoor seats overlooking the marina. Service is excellent. Our server Jose A. Is very pleasant. And so as other server who serve our needs.“
“They not only have great brews, they always have delicious seltzers. Very friendly, seating both inside and out. Dogs welcome outside. They will have live music and pizza truck tomight. Great trivia games onl Tuesdays. They have corn hole tournaments periodically with great dj's and/or bands.Check it out. You won't be disappointed!“
“Good Lord! What a delicious quesadilla!! Ran across their food while having drinks at Wren House tonight. Service was quick and friendly. While I can't speak for their other menu items, their quesadillas are amazing! Perfectly browned tortillas with a flavorful cheese filling. I'm hoping I run across them again on this visit to Phoenix.“
“Subway is never my first choice, but it's on base and convenient. Went in today around 5pm to grab a sub after work and the girl behind the counter was super nice and quick. You may not be excited about the food, but their employees are always very nice and helpful!“
