“We almost cancelled our advance reservation for a group of 16 after reading a few negative reviews .But we're glad we did not cancel after we personally went and check the place itself and find the special cozy segregated Japanese room at the side end of the restaurant a very inviting and well suited for our big noisy group. We didn't mind paying extra $25 for requesting the special room . The lady that we made reservations with was very friendly and accommodating .The owner was warm and friendly and very considerate of our request to extend our stay for a group prayer .Everybody were happy with the food they ordered which were served in a timely manner . Service was great . Sashimi was fresh to the delight of my husband . All the Bento boxes ordered were delicious .. Will recommend for any a large group gathering or any small or intimate dinner for two

“This is a franchise of Panda Express, that's the reason for the similarities. I like the chicken with rice and veggies. I bring my own Sriracha sauce for dipping. Really good taste.“
“Today was my first time here since I moved a year ago. I've wanted to try this place and finally made it happen. It's a lovely facility, immaculate and the staff is friendly, the prices are right! I tried their Lion King Roll and the Godzilla Roll; they are so delicious and their drinks. I was in a mood for sake bombs and enjoyed it very much; the waiter was very attentive and had good recommendations. I will be a customer from now on. I highly recommend them.“
“So far I found Rays Sushi is the best Japanese restaurant in my area. Ray originally opened in Hayward , then they moved to Newark a few years ago. We followed Ray to Newark. After about a year , closed again and relocated to Lion Plaza , Newark. We then return to Ray so many times. Now during pandemic, I ordered sushi to go more often. They have a management team to reply email, answering questions, they take care of my order correctly , great job done every time. Quality of food still as good as dine in. two thumbs up“

“From the warm greeting everyone receives when walking through the door to the attentive and super friendly service, this place is amazing! The sushi was outstanding… hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had! The texture, taste and presentation was top notch. Wish there was a location on the east coast!“

“Food and service were was good, the place was busy and lively but the interior is old and can use a bit of a moden refresh !
Parking: Teriyaki chicken bent box portion was generous, and the chicken was tasty, but i didn't like the special beef sushi roll, which I tasted for the first time !“

“We came early evening and enjoyed our food. I went with tofu and veggies, and my friend got steak and chicken. We also got a radish roll and a Philly roll. The food was very enjoyable, though the bite of steak I took from my friend's plate felt a little dry. As we kept eating, they turned away a few people, and we leaned they had run out of sushi rice when we asked to order a couple of rolls to take home. This was surprising because they would still be open for several hours. We ran out of tea and had to wait longer than expected to get someone's attention to pay our bill. They were quite friendly, and I would consider going back if I was craving a hearty dose of dietary fiber again as I really did enjoy my own plate.“
