“Had an early lunch with a colleague.Even though I left early, it was quite crowded.I ordered a chicken and beef kebab set at the counter, got a number, and waited at my seat. The sauce is self-serve. There's quite a lot. Grilled vegetables, chicken, and beef are also delicious. I am full. Thank you for the meal.“

“I’ve been on a falafel dry spell, and by dry spell, I mean every single one I’ve tried in years has been hella dry. Not so at Falafel Flare! The falafel were soft and the herbs inside them combined with the chickpea meal to create a nice, balanced flavor. I dug the pickled radish in the wrap and wish they’d included more! My only complaint is that the flavors were a bit tame, so I’d definitely recommend asking for the hot sauce, too—and more radish!Interestingly, this place used to be called Falafel Flame. The front door had the “m” peeled away, which is now replaced by an “R”. I want the 411 on that situation! It made me laugh to see the obvious change to the name.“

“A taste of Middle Eastern Cuisine Food is excellent! Servings are good enough for the price. I suggest that you add the authentic garlic sauce for the shawarma. But I will say the shawarma is one of the best shawarma I have tasted here in the US. Service is good and fast. The waiters accommodated our needs and they served faster. Ambiance- The place is clean and I like that they have heaters outside to warm us while eating outside. We will surely return to this place as it did not disappoint us. I am happy I celebrated my birthday in this restaurant with my family.“

“A casual version of Dishdash in Downtown Sunnyvale. I thought it was a fake, but it turned out to be a proper affiliated store. Although it doesn't have the atmosphere of a high-end restaurant, the food is just as delicious as Dishdash, and you can enjoy hearty Middle Eastern cuisine. It's always crowded and it's hard to find a parking spot.Parking: Finding a parking spot depends on your luck.“

The falafel was still warm from cooking just before handing me the plate.This is a counter order, sit and eat restaurant. Not too fancy, but the decor had a nice mural. The location is out of the way, but it is worth it to find this little restaurant to get good falafel.“

“We catered a meal for 100 people for a big event this past weekend, and I worked with Ashvee to make this happen. First of all, she was wonderful and super helpful. The food was ready on time, huge portions and the meal was amazing. The chicken shawarma was excellent!! We had so many people compliment the food. The falafel was delicious and the sauces (Tzatziki, Lemony Tahini Sauce and Spicy Sauce) were so good. I don't even live in PA but I am definitely making the drive down to get more of it. “No trip to SF is complete without a visit to Oren's! This was my first time at the Palo Alto location. It definitely has a different vibe than the one in the Financial District -- less formal, more rustic.The sampler platter was good but didn't have a lot of my favorites. I prefer the one we had in FiDi, which had more eggplant. We also got the cucumber salad which was good and fresh.I got a healthy serving of Oren's eggplant, which continues to reign supreme in my heart. It's not a cute dish, but it's soooo good! The chicken skewer was also so tender and yummy.Oren's eggplant and chicken skewers have my heart. I'll be back!“

It felt like upscale dining and the service was wonderful. They were very attentive, and eye contact alone will get their attention to serve you. Although the menu may seem pricey, the portions they give you absolutely make up for the prices and more. Entree plates are about 8-9 inches in diameter and are full with rice, a light salad and roasted vegetables, including your choice of protein of course. The Chicken skewer plate came with 2 skewer lengths that were taken off the skewer and were juicy. I was under the impression that a barbeque style of cook dries out the chicken but however they cook it, it's perfection. My colleagues enjoyed the fact that the lamb shank easily fell off the bone and the Koobideh plate was just juicy. We later asked if we could add a to-go Koobideh plate to our order and it was out to us in the next 10 minutes. Definitely will be coming back to eat at this hidden gem with more friends.“
