“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. There was 21 of us, including family members, and therefore people ordered a variety of dishes. I personally ordered the Portobello mushroom burger, and it was, hands down, one of the best burgers I've ever had. The flavor was out of this world. My colleague had the chicken Panini. She said it was wonderful. We all had a wonderful time there, but I couldn't leave without complimenting the chef. Most shudder at the idea, but this coffee is rich and absolutely delicious--- and the strength, which is a relative term, only increases the enjoyment. Starbuck's, for example, is strong, as well, but it can be bitter and harsh. Not so wide WE beans! Quite the opposite. It's a grand place to sit and relax, and the atmosphere is cordial and inviting. It is now our favorite "coffee haunt."“

I liked how you have multiple different options to order (online, at the cashier, or one of the tables)The menu has good variety of selections (smoothies, milk teas, etc). I asked the staff and she recommended me to try having the strawberry coconut smoothie and it was refreshing. I had no idea it would be that BUSSING!The seating was good. I walked from my work place down the block. The place has a very chill and home vibe. The staff was super friendly and helpful in assess me in making a decision. I ended up with 2 fresh juices and a smoothie for me and my coworkers. They made everything fresh right in front of me. And it was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back to try everything on the menu. I got the tropical breeze juice and it was very delicious I highly recommend it.“
