“Today, I was in search of picking up a quick breakfast nearby. We had a delicious bacon, egg, & cheese croissant made to order as well as apple fritters with the right amount of crispness and apples AND a bear claw that ended up being stuffed with cinnamon apples. Nice people. Also locals sitting & eating when I arrived. A line formed a few times while there which showed that others were just as excited about this spot, but all quickly received their food & coffee.“

“Went to Vanak Restaurant and Bakery for a Persian brunch and had such a great experience. We ordered Kale Pacheh, a classic Persian brunch staple, and it did not disappoint — flavorful, comforting, and very well prepared.

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Portions were generous — easily enough for two people — and the food was genuinely tasty and satisfying.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Persian brunch in a welcoming, warm environment. We’ll definitely be back.“

“This isn't a coffee shop. It's a communal space. The coffee is basically free if you think of your donation as more of a rental fee to be in this lovely communal space and have access to all that it offers. This place is ideal for making plans with business partners, writing scripts with friends, or just getting together for some time away from screens and computers. This place is tailored toward bringing diverse people together into one place to sharing ideas and stories with each other. As for the coffee and baristas both are fantastic. Cappuccino rocked me off my behind all day cuz I'm used to watered down crappuccinos from Starbucks. I love this place. This is where I bring friends that love good coffee and a peaceful conversation.“

“This Bakery is Beyond amazing 👏 😍 They make fresh fruit smoothies :^) they have multiple milk options 😋 They offer fresh juices that are healthy, yet delicious. They have delicious sandwiches. “I get ChaCha everyday as my little morning ritual and the staff at the century city location is so lively and such a joy! The people that work there are so cool and their individuality and style separates from other cafe spots. It honestly brightens my day because the staff is so friendly and kind. “I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“I have been looking for quinoa all over LA. This place serves it and it is very good. The mix has just the right amount of dried sweet cranberries and a few chickpeas. It was perfect. I had a salad with tuna avocado and egg salad. I was able to sub the egg salad for tuna which was very nice of them. They gave me a fork full of a mayonnaise free tuna they had prepared on the way out which again was a great experience. This is the kind of place that you feel cares and you'd want to keep going back to. A+++“

“The building itself is a work of art. The outdoor landscape is also carefully designed. There are so many exhibits that you need to have enough time to explore. You can also start from the West Pavilion, where you can see more familiar works. This is an art museum worth visiting many times.“

“I stopped by this tea place to get my wife a drink since I was already in the plaza this store is in. I found parking just fine but parking can be hard to find depending on when you come. When I walked inside, all the workers greeted me. I look at their menu and called my wife. She said the passionade and fruit tea looked good but I should ask which one they recommend.

The lady working the cashier recommend the passionade so I got a large one and asked for light ice. The place isn't that big inside. They made my order quick and I went to the other side to pick it up. I took it home and my wife loved her drink. It wasn't too sweet or plain and they put light ice like I asked.“

All the other best restaurants tend to be so loud and hurried but at Mariposa it's a very pleasant experience, the food is delicious, the staff are Neiman Marcus level great and I always want to return sooner.
