“The acai bowls are fantastic. The prices are way too high for what you get. Just know that a small bowl, even the basic ones, will set you back over $10. They have plenty of seating if you want to eat there but it is very easy to get a bowl for take out. Not much of an atmosphere, but it's not really the kind of place where it truly matters. Unless you have a good reason to stay and eat there, take your bowl to go. They have meters in the front and a tiny parking lot in the back.“

“I went here last night with a friend. I started with minimal expectations as it had a standard sterile sandwich shop ambiance. It was clean though. We ordered at the counter and they delivered the finished sandwiches to our table. But the first bite of my sandwich (a Buenos Aires) told me this place is very good! Steak, grilled mushrooms, peppers, cheese and chimichurri sauce on a telera roll--absolutely delicious! It came with freshly prepared potato chips that were also very good. My friend ordered a Health Nut sandwich with a side order of French fries. She was very happy with it, but then she has been getting sandwiches delivered from The Carving Board for a long time. This is a great sandwich place! My one suggestion? Get better signage so that the drivers on busy Ventura Boulevard can see that you are there!“

“We arrived on a Friday at around 11:00am and got seated right away. The restaurant has outdoor seating with heaters which I thought was really nice. Our food was great!! I order the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon and egg. Everything was delicious and por portions was plenty. My husband ordered the Mexican omelette with a side of has browns and toast and he too enjoyed his food very well. The ranchero salsa was delicious.The service was quick and very efficient. On top of that everyone was very friendly and helpful.The star of the meal was the cafe de olla! This is a must if you try out this place.The only thing is parking can be a little tricky and may have to park on the street or nearby neighborhood. Highly recommend this place.“

“Porto’s cortadito coffee is one of my favorites!!! Their mocha is so yummy too. Huge fan of their pastries especially the croissants, cheese roll and guava strudel with cheese! We started our meal with the cheese plate and tuna carpaccio both of which were an amazing first course. I then ordered the pan seared cod and my girlfriend ordered the octopus. Finally to finish our meal we ordered a serving of ice cream which is always a good choice and the Cloud de Maron. The latter of which was not only visually stunning but also deliciously decadent. “We live quite a distance from this cafe, but if we get a chance we will drive all the way here for delicious Taiwanese food. I love how the owner remembers us over more than 10 years. :). She is so sweet and remembers her customers. We especially love the popcorn chicken with veggies, egg, and rice. Boba is delicious too! There is a little gift shop there with things that are handmade. There are lots of tables in there.“

“Cafe Lovi is our favorite neighborhood spot! The sandwiches are amazing. You will crave the challah bread after! They are also an Italian-style coffee shop. The espresso is amazing and our lattes are always the perfect ready-to-drink temperature. To top it all off, the staff are so welcoming and they are incredibly dog friendly! “My Persian friend Neda came to visit and wants me to try Persian food. She found Vanak online and we are trying it for the first time. It's located in the El Pollo Loco shopping center. This place looks nice and clean, they got a A grade. It has a nice ambience. I'm sure it looks a lot better in the evening. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The parking was ok. Saied took our order and was very patient and helpful. He wore a great smile and eye contact is a plus We had tons of questions about the food. He explained all about the food so patiently. The price is a bit high but they have good portions. They have such great customer service which is such a plus.. They let us sample a freshly made dessert. Usually with the amount of questions my friend had they would have been annoyed already. They were in the middle of a very big order and still tended to our tiny order. There's a few 2-4 seater tables, a larger window-facing table with comfy chairs, a ledge for those who want to park with a laptop, and some outdoor sidewalk seating. More of a casual vibe, very bright and airy and open. On a corner. There is street parking (up to 1 hour directly in front, and up to 2 hours a few blocks down on Ocean). “I love this place !! I stopped by in the morning and ordered their vegan breakfast burrito and a hot almond milk latte. The burrito was great. Filling flavorful and comes with a little side of salsa. The latte was also good, and both were so fairly priced as it’s about half of what you would pay in the city. The real treat here though is I sat towards the back for awhile catching up on work, and every customer that came in was recognized by the baristas and greeted with a warm welcome. The vibes here are happy, warm and so friendly both by the patrons and employees. They offer some seating inside although it is busy. Also a selection of pastries, sandwiches, smoothies and grab and go drinks. A large amount of the menu is vegan friendly and again rare to see it priced this well. I’ll definitely be back :)“
