“I was looking for an easy coffee stop off the freeway and maps showed me this location. It felt a little odd coming up to the BMW dealership but it was a really lovely experience! Easy parking, no lines, clean bathrooms, great coffee and smiling faces. Easy on and off the freeway as well!“
“Gear up my friends this particular one is gonna be a long one, here we go!First of all, yeehaw — sunlife cal is reopened at Calabasas Parkway shopping center ?SunLife at Calabasas you r a special one, can’t stress this enough. Everything about Calabasas and everything about SunLife together = makes a thick blend of a dream! ?☀️?☀️⚡️☄️?Although I live in Ca my v First encounter with the brand was in Austin TX - noticing the rare lotus logo got me off of my bird scooter, accompanied with their store scent (smells like happiness) pushed me to sign out of the bird and let the lotus cue take over. Once you walk into the store it builds your curiosity about them, about urself, about your intentions, the world within and the one u live in. It like — sucks u into the present moment, which is objectively speaking "you're alive, hey" - is bright!! It's all coming from personal experience, and don't get me wrong - I ran my miles with many fall-ins to dif marketing sources.. “There was something different about them”, i kept thinking to myself as I was waiting for my smoothie. The locations they pick for their store is top notch - the heart of the area you’re visiting, you’ll not find yourself “bored, or thinking there’s nothing else to explore here”, I promise. Yoga, Pilates, shopping, libraries, advanced art boutiques, farm markets — you name it, it’s all happening around them.Purity of the ingredients deserves a round of applause. They do indeed use clean forms of whether it’s a nut butter or a powder - you can discover that by the first bite on an empty stomach :)Thoughtfulness of the whole store assembly is also wonderful. Your pet will be welcomed first, and their thirst will be satisfied also first.Friendly, knowledgeable and optimistic staff is also not to be missed. Managers are hands on ready to solve anything, as well as let the team grow by letting them find a way to make things work.On another note, my cousin has food allergies and it’s important for him to NOT cross paths w some nuts and fruits and when we asked sunlife staff about allergies, they were nicely accommodating and offered to sanitize the equipment. It’s awesome to have ur fam find interest in things u love (in this case without making them feel left out!)Fav part- store is rich in vivacious, lively colors! The nature elements throughout the store are beyond consideration: the waves on display, crystals, plants, sand, music //maybe this combination varies throughout all of their stores but the ones I have been in had those. Love that they did nutritional health research for u. ?All in all, (as with everything!) if u show up thinking they are a “ripoff, overpriced etc” you’ll (want it or not- you’ll get that experience) But if you come and give them a chance and allow them to make ur day SMOOTHier you’ll be happily surprised and might later join my thoughts on them!Personal favorites:Smoothie: Mint chocolate chipAthlete (w/protein)Shroom shake (keeps u full for 6 hrs)Golden latteBowls: Maui, dragon, samurai and buddha bowlsSuper hero toast - you gotta try; really rich and not ur reg pb jam!and Avocado toast - great!btw if ure not a fan of oatmeal - try theirs, they know their craft, it’s delish!Last but not least,I —————-Highly recommend.Just Recommend. And wanna keep recommending SL from the bottom of my heart!!Cheers to more SunLife’sss!!Calabasas you’ve got a gem of a place!!Vegetarian options: Soups, smoothies, toasts, anything can be modified to removing animal products besides bone broth, and paleo granola (sweetened with honey)Dietary restrictions: AccommodatingKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!“
“I actually live locally and I have to say I've never been to marmalade Café. I came here with a good friend of mine, service was excellent. Our server was Julie. She was friendly and engaging. There were so many options, specially since I'm vegan and my wife is gluten-free so I know I can bring her here next time.“
“Porto’s cortadito coffee is one of my favorites!!! Their mocha is so yummy too. Huge fan of their pastries especially the croissants, cheese roll and guava strudel with cheese! The chicken croquette and spinach feta empanada are also incredible! Go here on a weekday to avoid extremely long lines.“
“My boyfriend and I went here on a weekday to try the Green Matcha Danish, Strawberry Croissant, and Popeye Egg-Bacon Spinach. Everything tastes amazing! Our favorites are the Popeye and Strawberry Croissant. The ambiance inside the bakery was really nice and everything is so clean. Also, the staffs were really nice! Would recommend!“
“Came across this restaurant on yelp and decided to stop by because of their great reviews. Im glad i did because now it makes sense why they have such good reviews. Amazing 10/10 service and food. Extremely nice ambiance to whole another level. I would say Their food is the best mediterranean food in not only entire valley but entire california. Trust my words and you wont be disappointed to come and check them out. Thank you and ill be back for sure .“
“What a neighborhood gem! The owner is sweet it made it even better. She explained the Yerba mate process and some recommendations. Loved the mango and maracuya (passion fruit combo). classic green tea has long been touted as the best detox beverage and matcha has been gaining traction in recent years among top trending drinks, yerba mate deserves aThe Yerba mate has an even higher polyphenol content than regular green tea, and the list of benefits don't end there including morning energy, reducing inflammation, helps with detox, protects your heart. Drink was refreshing and tasted delicious.Empanadas are so tasty get the arabe or the ham and cheese if you are not adventurous. Served hot and was so good. The ambience was very chill and relaxing. They have a few tables and even a couch area for a more relaxed setting. Definitely adding this to the rotation.“
“Cool atmosphere, the coffee was strong lol. I got the butter beer latte half sweet with almond milk and it was not too bad. I’ll probably try something else next time though. For food I got a banana loaf but was hoping they had breakfast sandwiches Overall I think I would go back if I’m on that side of the valley!“
“Love love love Ferretiz Grill! They have the best California Benedict! The staff are really personable, and they tend to recognize you only after a few times of going. I've noticed they remember most of their costumers, which I find really sweet. The waiters are also so kind, great service. Really homey feeling place, and the prices are good for what you get! Feels like a hidden Simi gem.“
“If I can give this place more than 5 stars I would. The food, and the people here are so incredibly special. Compared to other bakeries in the area, this is by far one of the best locations I have ever been to for pastries and coffee. This little gem has been serving the Valley for years, and has not received the credit it surely deserves. My family and myself have been coming here for years and they stay on point! Their pastries are made freshly and you can tell it is definitely made with care. Ms Vanessa and her team are amazing!!“
“Most dishes were delicious (i.e. the bourekas plate and shakshuka)! However, some items were busts (i.e. the mushroom soup which tasted more like over salted garlic bits soup with hardly any actual mushrooms and the soggy vegetable quinoa which had more eggplant chunks than quinoa). Also, the lox & bagel plate could be improved with a bakery caliber type bagel vs one that resembles a grocery store Sarah Lee bagel. The pictured items were yummy.“
“We live quite a distance from this cafe, but if we get a chance we will drive all the way here for delicious Taiwanese food. I love how the owner remembers us over more than 10 years. :). She is so sweet and remembers her customers. We especially love the popcorn chicken with veggies, egg, and rice. Boba is delicious too! There is a little gift shop there with things that are handmade. There are lots of tables in there.“
“I love G&G, know most of the staff by name, have gotten to know some other regulars. Everyone is incredibly nice, usually open for games, even with strangers, and I've met quite a few people through the café. I get tons of work done there, albeit with welcome stops for board games. The place is just wonderful, a really friendly environment, I often stay there from opening to closing.Food is fairly cheap, the café doesn't partake in toxic American tipping culture, and the board games are competitively priced with online retailers.Parking: There's a tiny lot out back, mostly, people park down a nearby residential road, short walk (1-2 mins)“
“K wave. You must come here one time.Cafe's atmosphere is comfortable and it made me calm down.It is a good place to read books or do something with your laptop.I strongly recommend you to visit here.I found a good place to enjoy as like I had enjoyed in South Korea.Enjoy other food, especially Bing-su (snowlike ice powder with any toppings)I should try it next time.“
“Service was amazing here, many servers are moving around making sure you are okay. I tried the watermelon lemonade and it was so refreshing and good. The steak quesadilla was quality, lots of texture and flavor. I had tried their Culver City location and it was great. This location is just as good!!“
“My Persian friend Neda came to visit and wants me to try Persian food. She found Vanak online and we are trying it for the first time. It's located in the El Pollo Loco shopping center. This place looks nice and clean, they got a A grade. It has a nice ambience. I'm sure it looks a lot better in the evening. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The parking was ok. Saied took our order and was very patient and helpful. He wore a great smile and eye contact is a plus We had tons of questions about the food. He explained all about the food so patiently. The price is a bit high but they have good portions. They have such great customer service which is such a plus.. They let us sample a freshly made dessert. Usually with the amount of questions my friend had they would have been annoyed already. They were in the middle of a very big order and still tended to our tiny order. I'll definitely recommend and will be back.“
“Wonderful place on the beach!! The breakfast spot is different than the brunch & lunch. The service was excellent. All the servers are kind, gentle and polite people and everyone was serving every table, there was no difference at all .. it was an absolute true meaning of "TEAMWORK". The food was also very delicious. The carrot cake was phenomenal also the chicken sandwich, that we wanted to save it for later as well! This place is a definite "Yes" !!“
“Stopped in at this boba shop while I was visiting CSUN and it didn't disappoint. I got their passion fruit green tea with boba and it totally hit the spot! The drink came out pretty fast after I ordered. The food also smelled great, but I was in a rush, so I only got the drink. I'll have to try the food next time!“
“Haven’t had some great breakfast food in months due to being deployed (military). First stop back home, Jerry’s Coffee Shop. Breakfast food hit the spot! Jerry’s is my favorite place in town to get breakfast and the people there are very nice. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend you go. You won’t regret it!“
“I love this cafe so much, my favorite spot to hang in Topanga for the true canyon experience. So many interesting locals to meet and chat with. Claire, the owner is an angel! She is french and has brought the beautiful french cafe vibes but has combined them with the quirky, fun Topanga vibes. Get the breakfast burrito!Vegetarian options: Love all the veggie options!“
“The Lucky Dog Cafe is my go-to coffee place in Simi Valley. The staff are wonderful, friendly and proficient. The coffee is outstanding, the baked goods are tasty. There is good indoor and outdoor seating in a very pleasant atmosphere. The lucky dog is pet friendly, and even though I don't own a pet, I enjoy having the occasional dog around. I highly recommend it.“
“Wow wow wow! This place is unreal. Probably the most gourmet brunch in the valley you can get. Gasolina is a Spanish inspired brunch restaurant in the valley. I ordered the skillet breakfast which makes me think of shakshuka, a Mediterranean egg dish cooked in tomatoes and onions. This is their take on that dish, but amplified with meat and a different inspiration of flavors. It doesn't look like it will fill you up but trust me, you will be very satisfied. My girlfriend ordered the burger and we split the patatas bravas. Both very good and cooked to perfection. The wait staff was also very friendly and gave us good recommendations! Highly recommend this place for a former brunch in the valley.“
“Carrara’s is one of my favorite places to go to! It’s one of the most authentic Italian cafes I’ve been to out here. The coffee is so good and the pastries don’t just look pretty, but they’re actually delicious. Everyone who works here is so nice and goes above and beyond! I wish I knew everyone’s names but from going there as often as I do I can honestly say Tallin, Danica, Alir, Sarah and really just the whole staff is so sweet and they make you feel so welcomed! Alir makes some of the best lattes I’ve ever had and Tallin decorates the foam on the lattes and the desserts in a beautiful way! I love everything about this place and would highly recommend :)“
“There's always going to be the mixed reviews of places. But based on our experience, it was great. Still early for the dinner rushed as it was right about happy hour. We got seated right away in the bar area. It was our first time here so didn't know what to expect. Once seated, we did noticed the restaurant part. It was that busy and only another couple was utilizing it. But the whole bar counter was full as well as some of the booth where we were seated. Staff were amazing, very friendly and attentive. The lady that took care of us was awesome, didn't remember her name but she was great. Checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and if anything else was needed. Also, it happened to be a day where one of the alcohol founder was there. He walked around giving samples which was great. We even had a cocktail made from his liquor. Food wise, we had the calamari which was quite good. Portion wise was pretty plentiful. The fish and chips were great. Instead of the chips, we opted for the tater tots. And the chicken Parmesan, very filling. A good portion on both the pasta and chicken. Service was great, food was good and the whole vibe was amazing. It's a cool spot that we happened to find on Yelp and glad we stopped in. Also, had to send the place out to a couple of friends who would definitely love it here. The whole ambiance and vibe was great.“
“Everything that we ordered was delicious and freshly prepared. Carne Asada wrap, chicken quesadilla. Both excellent. My Dad said the smoothie was the best he's ever had! Just go here , it's the best food north of Oaxaca. Gracias, “
“I love Ube so I was excited to see there was a cafe nearby that made ube desserts and drinks. So far I've tried the ube bars and ube cheesecake. Both were absolutely delicious and I am excited to try the other desserts in the future. Recently I tried their ube boba tea and it was so good even my girlfriend had to take a few sips. The staff were really friendly and helpful with ordering. The inside is big enough for a few tables and chairs and would be a great place to hangout if I weren't in a rush.“
“Popped in tonight for a last minute treat as it was my son's 6th birthday. He was wearing a birthday crown and Walter came out and treated my son like an absolute king!!! He made him feel so special and even gave him 2 cookies on the house! That never happens in this town. Thank you, Walter, for your exemplary customer service and delicious cookies!!“
“We have been regulars at the tomato patch for 30 years, the quality, service, portions, freshness has not changed ever, each sandwich and each dish is done with loving care for the past 30 years, my kids would go after school, now my grandkids go after school, this place is a landmark, same owners always smiling, always happy. Don't miss this hidden gem in the valley, once you go. You will not go anywhere else enjoy!!“
“Large selection of pancakes. Location grts really busy so come prepared to wait. Souffle pancake was delicious but does take a while to prepare, also prepare to wait. Staff is very friendly and attentiveParking: Not too many spaces in free lot. Parking on street is metered“
“Tea N Tea is a regular spot for me. Their drinks are great, but if you have not tried their food you are missing out. Their Pork Chops and Rice are to die for. The Pot Stickers are like nowhere else with amazing seasoning. I can't wait to try the Squid Skewers. If you have a little time to wait for it, Their Viatnamese Coffee is a truly unique experience. Give them a try today!“
“I have to say their food is amazing. I love their salads the wraps, their steak with veggies and basically everything is pretty good. Also Arlette runs her business and she's great with people. Also, she is a bodybuilder. If you're interested in that stuff I just left her food and I wanted to leave this. She also Has great service and a great personality we love you“
“I love this little place. Food is great and so are the prices compared to the area. I love that they make everything fresh and that you can order on the phone before I drive there. They will modify and make whatever you want with their ingredients. Hot coffee is ok, iced coffee is better. Definitely recommend!“
“I came for a macchiato, which didn't impress me especially. A few hours later, I returned to see how this place would do on the food end. I ordered a ham and cheddar sandwich, which turned out to be the single most delicious thing that I ate during a three-day stay in the Santa Monica canyon. I like Rusti and would come back again for further coffee explorations. After all, no one is perfect! This coffee-shop-in-a-trailer business reminded me immediately of Highwire Coffee in Albany, CA yelp.com/biz/highwire-co… . I guess that this is a thing. It's a good thing too: what else are you going to do with that old trailer?“
“Another great place with vegan and gf options. Kabocha tacos were outstanding! Loved the drip coffee also and the avocado toast. Generous portions too and beautiful outdoor space. Cafe is quite popular so it was a bit of a wait but so worth it!“
“This restaurant is excellent. I ordered the jalapeño omelette and it was delicious if you enjoy spicy food. Jess and Wendy are attentive and constantly check to make sure you have everything you need. The service is fast and efficient, ensuring you are always well taken care of. Thanks“
“My first time visiting Firehouse Cafe this morning. I got the California omelet with refried beans and biscuits and gravy. Food was good and the waitress was super friendly. Will be coming here again in the future. Would like to try lunch here.“
“Big improvement on efficiency! All the times I got boba here in the past took a long time. I always hesitated to come here because of the wait time. It's been months since. We went again yesterday and we didn't wait long even though there were several people in line before us. Orders were being called out much faster than before. It was impressive given how slow it used to be. We weren't hungry and didn't have space for chicken, but we tried the fries which is new and they were nicely cooked. Just needs more seasoning to compete with Potato Corner or Quickly because the fries weren't coated enough and kind of bland. Will definitely come here more often now. These new batch of hires are great! Hope they get a raise or something.“
“Came here to watch some college football. Very nice mellow atmosphere, fantastic service and very accommodating when asked to put on a certain game. Three of the four that came with ordered an outstanding nachos plate and I had the chicken avocado salad which was really just okay. I'll try something different next time. But all in all really a great place and really friendly service. I'll be back!“
“Love this place. I still have yet to be disappointed in anything I've had here. This place is always busy and since they make things fresh for you it can get kind of backed up. I'd suggest calling in your order first. The 2 ladies up front were the most amazing. Thank you!“
“My husband and I have been coming here for years. We like coming for lunch too. Today we shared the large Southwest Chicken Salad- so delicious. Our server, Lori is just so nice and she is on top of her game. To be honest though, everyone here is really nice. We will definitely be coming back.“
“The tea and scones were delicious and a great way to start the afternoon tea. Unfortunately, the tea sandwiches and desserts were hit and miss...the curry chicken salad and the chocolate mousse cups stood out, while the smoked king trumpet mushroom sandwich was interesting. The tea includes entry to the museum and could be part of a relaxing day at the Getty Villa. By itself, the tea is not a good value.“
“I've been coming here for over a year now. It's my go to place for coffee. The taste and quality of the coffee beans they use is exceptional. They have really good French toast and burritos. A great place to meet up some friends or get some work done.“
“My first time at the wonderfully hidden gem. The barista was so friendly and helpful. She recommended the jalapeño breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint. Perfect amount of spice, large portion, and so tasty I completely forgot to take a pic! The latte is an off the menu item it originally does not have coffee, so good. I will be back to explore the lunch menu.“
“Today, I was in search of picking up a quick breakfast nearby. We had a delicious bacon, egg, & cheese croissant made to order as well as apple fritters with the right amount of crispness and apples AND a bear claw that ended up being stuffed with cinnamon apples. Nice people. Also locals sitting & eating when I arrived. A line formed a few times while there which showed that others were just as excited about this spot, but all quickly received their food & coffee.“
“This is a nice cafe inside of Four Seasons. It's in a nice area. Only bad thing is parking, unless you do valet - which is not ideal if you are just ordering a coffee and a pastry and leaving. The service was quick and friendly each time I went (2x on the same day). The drinks are good and reasonably priced. The chocolate croissant was good. I would try it again when I am in the area.“
“Wow wow wow. Went to a Halloween party catered by Monrose. It was so fantastic I had to call the host and ask who she hired to do the food and she said Monrose was always amazing. I concur!! They served mini pizza appetizers, two types of pasta, meatloaf and so much more in a decadent, melt in your mouth comfort food spread that delighted meat eaters and vegetarians alike.“
“First time. I was pleasently surprised .. restaurant is in strip mall but dont let that fool you. A variety of food at reasonable prices..I had a salad and it was fresh and delicious..I will definitely fo back and try theirs special plates. Nice neighborhood place. Give it a go!“
“Lovely spot in NM. Always great service, and food is delicious and options interesting and varied. It is pricey, but that should be expected. Hardest thing is finding parking. Never packed full (at least the several times I've been there). Attentive but not overbearing service.“
“This is one of my favorite midweek places to have a quiet business or personal brunch or lunch. It just feels like one of those places that would be attached to a resort hotel, without the hotel. It's out of the way so almost no tourists, it's super chill and a great way to take advantage of our beautiful weather.Very polite staff, nothing fancy, just beautiful mountains, lots of natural greenery and a bright pretty indoor area with a fabulous fireplace in inclement weather.I absolutely used to go crazy over their Curry mango chicken salad, I wish they would bring that back. Good for sandwiches, light salads, eggs. It's a fairly small menu but easy to find healthy enough options, as well as traditional hardier brunch selections.“
“Jennifer is amazing and so so sweet! Best coffee i have had in a while and the amazing customer service made my day even more. The coffee bar is connected to a yummy diner which makes the ambiance very homey and comforting. If youre nearby definitely check this place out! :)“
