“Dandy's Ice Cream in North Highlands is hands down my favorite Mexican ice cream shop in Sacramento. Every time I visit, I'm blown away by the delicious flavors and amazing service.

So far, I've tried the milkshakes, raspas, and the banana split ice cream - all of which were delicious. The ice cream is rich and creamy, and the flavors are unique and bursting with flavor. I can't wait to go back and try the other items on their menu!

What really sets Dandy's apart, though, is the people who work there. They are all so friendly and welcoming, and they really go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The service is truly amazing.

Everything I ordered was very well served; my coconut drink had plenty of fresh coconut, unlike other places where they just show you the coconut. “Hands down some of the best gelato EVER. It's not cheap store-bought ICE cream. Mike is a mad scientist in that kitchen of theirs whipping up pure deliciousness, always bringing out new flavors and keeping their menu fresh.“

“As a fan of brown sugar milk tea boba, the ice cream version was unreal. The soft serve was really creamy and tasted amazing. My wife got the Tiramisu coffee and it genuinely was not good (do not recommend), but when I went to order her something else they offered to exchange it free of cost without even asking! She got the strawberry ice cream and it was also good, definitely recommend just getting one of those. Also really nice seating, super comfy and welcoming!“

“I've been to Salt & Straw twice now. 1st time in Downtown Disney & now in Roseville. I love the creative flavors they offer & the homemade goodness. You can try as many flavors as you like. Which is hard not to do since they have limited addition ice creams & crazy flavors. We went at 10pm at night & there was a line out the door. The service was quicker than I expected since it was so busy. The staff is very patient with everyone inquiring & tasting flavors. I highly recommend this place for a sweet treat.“

“Love coming here for a sweet treat. The place is always clean until a big group of people come by and aren’t considerate with how they go through the topping station.

They have staple flavors like original and chocolate, and then they rotating flavors like starburst and hi-chew. I love coming here because there are so many ways to customize your bowl. The staff are nice, there’s seating inside and a good amount of seating outside. The parking right in front of the store gets filled fast.“

“Very tasty soft serve and taiyaki! We ordered two #3’s (recommended for more ice cream and less mess than #2). Both with ube and one chocolate taiyaki and one red bean taiyaki.

The taiyaki was so tasty, soft, warm and chewy with a bit of crispy on the outside, especially loved the red bean filling. The soft serve was also delicious, ube had a very subtle sweetness. They also allow samples, the Thai tea and milk were great too.

Vibe is trendy and cute, yet authentic and simple. They have games in the corner and lots of room to sit. You can watch them make the taiyaki fresh. Employees were kind.“

Menchie’s on Madison is hands down one of my favorite frozen yogurt places. They switch up the flavors regularly, so there’s always something yummy to try, and I love that it never feels stale or repetitive.

What really makes this location stand out is how welcoming they are to kids and toddlers—it’s such a friendly, family-friendly spot. The store is super clean, well-organized, and well-maintained, which makes every visit enjoyable. Even the bathroom is big, well-stocked, and spotless—which, let’s be honest, is a huge plus when you’ve got little ones in tow!

The employees are pleasant and efficient, not overly chatty, but they get the job done, and I appreciate that. The prices are fair, and they run great promotions from time to time, making it even more affordable.

At the end of the day, this is my go-to frozen yogurt spot. Whether I’m with my kids or catching up with friends, it’s always a great experience. Highly recommend!“

“I had the opportunity to visit one of their pop op events in Elk Grove. I needed to bring something home for my mom and wasn’t sure what to get so Janine made my mom a sundae and she loved it! “I've been to a few ice cream places that were better, and a lot that were worse. This may sound like an odd recommendation but try mixing the cotton candy ice cream with Twix. It makes the Twix chewier to and compliments the flavor and texture of the cotton candy ice cream.“

They have survived while others have fallen: Rite Aide, CVS, Islands, Rubios, Fry’s, On The Border, Tokyo Express, Cool River Pizza (well technically they moved but their new location is in a shitter spot so I’m counting it), Cal Fit, Mary’s Pizza Shack, Krispy Kreme (yes they came back, but it’s like $30 for a dozen donuts so they’re dead to me), Big Spoon, Bed Bath & Beyond.

When all of us are long gone, TOPS will remain. Long Live TOPS.“

“Party box was gifted from a client so not sure about pricing, service or atmosphere. The box included 2 each of the following flavors: chocolate brownie, sugar cookie with Cadbury Mini Eggs, carrot cake, cherry pie pretzel, chocolate chip & lemon crinkle. Nice, large cookies so we cut them up so everone could sample. The chocolate chips were great and still warm on arrival - a warm chocolate chip cookie is always the BEST chocolate chip cookie. Nice sized chips. The chocolate brownie was my favorite: soft and the perfect amount of chocolately flavor without being overly sweet. Not a huge sugar cookie fan but these are good. Hard to cut but right ratio of sugar cookie to frosting. My husband would be in heaven with these. The carrot cake was super moist and everything I want in a carrot cake. Good ratio of cake to frosting with just a sprinkle of nuts. You can taste the carrot shavings and raisins without them overpowering.“
