“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“The food was delicious! We got the medium heat spice, which was perfect for me. My son wants to try the hotter one next time. The place was very busy so that might be why none of the tables were clean and they were out of ice. But we will still be back because the chicken was that good 👍“

“I recently stopped by Qwench Place and tried their PB Banana Brew, and I was thoroughly impressed! The blend was creamy and packed with flavor, a perfect balance of peanut butter and banana. It had a smooth texture with just the right amount of sweetness, making it both a satisfying and energizing treat. The drink wasn’t too heavy, making it ideal as a quick pick-me-up or a post-workout refreshment. The staff was friendly and quick, and the overall atmosphere of the shop was bright and welcoming.

“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

“Leo's Superfood Cafe is definitely the best way to me! This fully gluten free + fully vegan spot is located in more so in Lake Balboa, California, but actually resides in the city of Northridge, Los Angeles, California in a small plaza lot near the Van Nuys Airport. It's off the intersection of Roscoe Blvd/Louise Avenue in a small plaza with parking. Their baked good are incredible with a big selection of flavors. While their Daring Pot Pie is a top favorite. I can't say anything bad about their pizzas, wraps, quesadillas, sandwiches, shakes, teas, espresso, plates, bowls and other beverages. I do have to avoid their seed based bread do to my sunflower seed allergy, but everything is clearly labeled and the are very allergen cautious. Love their Leo's Superfood Breakfast Burrito, "Meat" Lovers Pizza, Hot Hash Keto Bowl and Crunchwrap. Definitely my top recommend aside from the Pot Pie and desserts. Everything is made with care. The service is excellent and the absolutely love and appreciate their staff as well as all us customers.“

“This has been my family’s go to restaurant for decades. Every time I go here, I am hit with nostalgia. Most birthdays and special occasions were spent here. Since I live out of state now, I always have to stop at chi chi's whenever I visit California. The plain cheese pizza is the best pizza hands down. I’ll never find another pizza like it. “My family and I went to try Z Pizza for the first time. We were ending our busy evening to have dinner there. When we walked in we were greeted by the chef. I asked what time they close? He said 10pm. I looked at my phone and it was 9:45. I said to the chef "Looks like you guys are closing soon? It's ok thanks. We don't want to keep you working late" the chef said "no, no, no. Welcome to Z Pizza. What can I make for you and your family? Our menu is right over here". I felt bad but we ordered and the chef was phenomenal. I asked his name and he said "Fernando". He was very knowledgeable of the menu, patient towards our decisions and very hospitable. At this point, I didn't mind waiting because the place was so clean inside. Nonetheless, we grab our food, went home and ate. Omg, was the food awesome! Thank you Chef Fernando. Because of you we'll definitely be back.“

“Hidden gem doesn't even begin to describe To Die For Sushi. Nestled in a humble space in Northridge, this place is so unassuming you might walk right past it--but don't. Because once you walk in and sit at the bar, you'll realize you've discovered one of the best sushi experiences in all of Los Angeles.

Chef Danny is a true artist. We had front-row seats to his craft and were mesmerized watching him turn simple ingredients into edible masterpieces. Every slice, every plate--pure precision and passion.

We shared a bento box with mixed tempura, mixed sushi, and sashimi, and were blown away by the variety and balance. The Heart Attack (fried jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and topped with spicy tuna) was absolute fire--bold, indulgent, and perfectly crispy.

The Toro and salmon were melt-in-your-mouth perfection--fresh, buttery, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere in L.A.

Our server, Samantha, was fantastic--warm, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. She made great recommendations and timed everything perfectly.

This place is a sushi lover's dream, without the pretense or the inflated prices of trendy spots. The prices are really affordable and the quality top notch. I have paid a lot more for so much less elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar--watch the magic happen, savor every bite, and thank me later.

“I stopped by this DQ inside Northridge mall today because I wanted a soft serve ice cream. I walked past this DQ store so many times but never walked inside to look at their menu. Today was the day, so when I walked in they were not busy at all. I was looking at their menu and saw their plain cone option which is their version of soft serve in a cone. So I went with that and got a small size. It was pricer than I expected but I guess because it was in the mall. The plain vanilla in a cone was good though and you get a good amount. I was happy with my selection to end my day at the mall.

Parking: There a ton of parking spots here from parking garage to parking lot because it's inside the mall.

“I finally took the chance to try this Potato Corner inside Northridge Fashion Center mall tonight. I walked past this little stand on the first floor so many times but never stop by to try them until tonight. My wife was shopping and I wanted a snack so I remember this store was here. I looked at their menu and knew I wanted french fries. The price is high, it's like paying amusement park prices. After looking at their menu I went to order and got the mega box, original fries with bbq flavor. While I was waiting for my fries to be ready, I saw they give free sample so when the fries were done, I asked for a sample with chili bbq flavor. I thought the chili bbq flavor is better than the regular bbq flavor. While waiting for my fries, I saw how they mix the fries with the spices. I thought the fries were good but not worth the price I paid for it.“

“I stopped by this bakery place today after going to Vons in the same plaza. I basically wanted a light snack and was hoping for a bagel. When I walked inside, there was no one else there so I first look at their cakes on display. Then I saw some pastries and blueberries. They have their menu cycling through on the TV and I saw a blueberry muffin. I didn't see any bagel and that's when a lady working in the back came outside to ask me if I know what I wanted. I went with their blueberry muffin and then asked about their m&m cookies. She said they charge per pound on the cookies so I stuck with just the blueberries muffin. I ate my muffin inside of the place, they had about like 3 or 4 tables for people to sit. Which I was eating there, I looked at their menu on the TV and saw they have crossiant here as well.“

“I’ve been going to el Torito to since I was young because my mom loves the restaurant ! And so do I. The food is consistently good and I’ve tried many different dishes. This time I got the burrito especial which was delicious! The tortilla had an enchilada sauce on it that was very flavorful and good. I very much enjoyed it! But portion also so I ended up taking half home. My aunt got the chicken and sour cream enchiladas and my mom got the sizzling enchiladas. They both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The sizzling enchiladas were surprisingly light but flavorful and my mom was able to eat both of hers.“
