“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“The food was delicious! We got the medium heat spice, which was perfect for me. My son wants to try the hotter one next time. The place was very busy so that might be why none of the tables were clean and they were out of ice. But we will still be back because the chicken was that good 👍“

“I recently stopped by Qwench Place and tried their PB Banana Brew, and I was thoroughly impressed! The blend was creamy and packed with flavor, a perfect balance of peanut butter and banana. It had a smooth texture with just the right amount of sweetness, making it both a satisfying and energizing treat. The drink wasn’t too heavy, making it ideal as a quick pick-me-up or a post-workout refreshment. The staff was friendly and quick, and the overall atmosphere of the shop was bright and welcoming.

“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

“My favorite place to get coffee. Have a few specialty drinks I toggle between that are my favorites. They have some unique and delicious muffins and a chocolate chip cookie to die for. “Hidden gem doesn't even begin to describe To Die For Sushi. Nestled in a humble space in Northridge, this place is so unassuming you might walk right past it--but don't. Because once you walk in and sit at the bar, you'll realize you've discovered one of the best sushi experiences in all of Los Angeles.

Chef Danny is a true artist. We had front-row seats to his craft and were mesmerized watching him turn simple ingredients into edible masterpieces. Every slice, every plate--pure precision and passion.

We shared a bento box with mixed tempura, mixed sushi, and sashimi, and were blown away by the variety and balance. The Heart Attack (fried jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and topped with spicy tuna) was absolute fire--bold, indulgent, and perfectly crispy.

The Toro and salmon were melt-in-your-mouth perfection--fresh, buttery, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere in L.A.

Our server, Samantha, was fantastic--warm, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. She made great recommendations and timed everything perfectly.

This place is a sushi lover's dream, without the pretense or the inflated prices of trendy spots. The prices are really affordable and the quality top notch. I have paid a lot more for so much less elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar--watch the magic happen, savor every bite, and thank me later.

“My family and I went to try Z Pizza for the first time. We were ending our busy evening to have dinner there. When we walked in we were greeted by the chef. I asked what time they close? He said 10pm. I looked at my phone and it was 9:45. I said to the chef "Looks like you guys are closing soon? It's ok thanks. We don't want to keep you working late" the chef said "no, no, no. Welcome to Z Pizza. What can I make for you and your family? Our menu is right over here". I felt bad but we ordered and the chef was phenomenal. I asked his name and he said "Fernando". He was very knowledgeable of the menu, patient towards our decisions and very hospitable. At this point, I didn't mind waiting because the place was so clean inside. “I’ve been eating subs from My Hero since 1972! THE best subs I’ve eaten, ever. Moved through the years, and always went to My Hero’s when within 5 hours by car to where I was staying! The high quality of their food has never waivered! The buns are soft, yet chewy! The tomato salad in each sandwich is always fresh! Plus they give a generous portion of the protein! My favorite has always been pastrami! Lean and tasty, everytime! The staff is welcoming and genuinely happy you are there! I’ll be going in a week as I pass through the area! “I stopped by this DQ inside Northridge mall today because I wanted a soft serve ice cream. I walked past this DQ store so many times but never walked inside to look at their menu. Today was the day, so when I walked in they were not busy at all. I was looking at their menu and saw their plain cone option which is their version of soft serve in a cone. So I went with that and got a small size. It was pricer than I expected but I guess because it was in the mall. The plain vanilla in a cone was good though and you get a good amount. I was happy with my selection to end my day at the mall.

Parking: There a ton of parking spots here from parking garage to parking lot because it's inside the mall.

“I really love Potato Corner and come here often. The flavors are great, portions are satisfying, and when the fries are done right, they are absolutely delicious.

However, the biggest issue is consistency. Too often, the fries come out soggy instead of crispy, even when I specifically request them to be cooked extra crispy. Unfortunately, that request is sometimes ignored, which is disappointing because it makes a big difference in the quality of the food.

Potato Corner is at its best when the fries are fresh, hot, and crispy. Paying attention to customer requests and cooking the fries properly would greatly improve the experience. I still enjoy this place, but I really hope they become more consistent with how the fries are prepared.“

You can’t go wrong with any of their loaves of bread – they’re all so flavorful and the texture is so much better than anything from the grocery store. It’s light and fluffy, not dense and heavy. The onion rye is a standout. I also got a bunch of sweets and they’re irresistible. I find that Jewish cookies are often dry and crumbly, but that’s not the case with these cookies. They’re all delicious, but my family’s favorites are the cinnamon hearts, apricot and raspberry butter cookies, and the mini linzer tarts, which aren’t overly sweet. The kids also devoured anything with sprinkles, confetti, or mini m&ms on it. There was one more cookie I have to mention: a large marble cookie with a chocolate thumbprint. It wasn’t chewy but it wasn’t crunchy, it was perfectly in between, and the perfect balance of salty and sweet. I highly recommend Delicious Bakery if you’re in the valley, and even if you’re not, it’s probably worth the drive.“
