“My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. It's our home local restaurant, and the entire staff knows us and takes great care of us. It was just our 17th anniversary, and the staff made us feel so special. But then again, they always make us feel special, so we just love everything about this place. Our go-to must-haves are the chicken sliders, fries, and the little gem. “I just had lunch with my two daughters, ages 12 and 15. It was our first time here.

We ordered three plates: two 3-birria taco combo plates and one order of vampire tacos with chorizo. We tried all the sauces that came with them, along with a 24-ounce horchata.

My girls and I are usually pretty loud. We talk. We’re animated. We gush over the food.

But when we ate these tacos, we ate in silence because the food was that good. To speak would have taken us out of the moment. So we said nothing. We just sat there, lost in our own thoughts, luxuriating in tender meats, spicy red sauce, and complex flavors.

The burgers are really good, and the fries are crispy, not soggy, so good. Parking is good, and there is inside seating, but none outside. Easy on and off the I-5 in Santa Clarita.“

“I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

“the size of a 4 top table in a booth being far too cramped for 3 men and a lady, the experience at Black Market was, again, top-notch. Lauren, the manager and many hat wearing server, took exceptional care of our table. Food was fired in the right order. We had courses come out at just the right times and great suggestions from the staff. The Korean bbq wings, the cauliflower, burrata with peaches, and the bolognese were perfectly cooked and delicious. Drinks are also fantastic - I had a classic Negroni. We'll be back .“

The food portions are a little lackluster but the options are expensive. Get water and your drink for there are too few servers to attend to timely refills. This is the type of place you would expect to have carafes of juice and personal pots of coffee but nah, cant be bothered. Cocktails are whats on one of the two menus, so that accounts for part of the noise, too.“

We got mild, but used the hot honey supplied and what a combination of flavors. We also got potato salad and slaw. Both great additions to an already wonderful meal. “Today I stopped by In-N-Out Burger in Sherman Oaks, and it reminded me why this place remains one of California’s most beloved burger chains. Despite the steady line of customers, everything moved quickly and efficiently. The staff was energetic, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to help.

I ordered my usual meal, found a seat, and within a few minutes I was enjoying a fresh burger made to order. The vegetables tasted crisp, the burger was hot and juicy, and the ingredients felt noticeably fresher than what you’ll find at most fast-food restaurants. The fries came out hot and fresh as well, exactly how they should be.

What I appreciate about In-N-Out is that they don’t try to be something they’re not. The menu is simple, the food is consistent, and they focus on doing a few things exceptionally well. In a world where many restaurants constantly chase trends, there’s something refreshing about a place that sticks to its formula and continues to deliver.

The Sherman Oaks location was clean, well-managed, and busy for a reason. You can tell that people keep coming back because they know exactly what they’re going to get: fresh food, friendly service, and good value.

“This pizza place deserves way more than 5 stars.

It was great to see how welcoming the owner was. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had known him for years. He came out from the back shook my hand and took the time to listen as I described the type of pizza my boys like.

The place is small but give you a home like feel inside from the moment you walk in. The outdoor area in the back is a beautiful set up. One of my favorite parts was the side window where you can actually see the pizza being made.

The service was incredible, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the pizza itself was a true 10/10. The owner even came back out to wish us safe travels home, which says everything about the kind of place this is.

Places like this are rare nowadays. Its nice to walk into a business and feel genuinely welcomed, not just treated like another dollar coming through the door.

“Came just before close on a Monday night to pick up a pepperoni. The shop is often bustling during lunch and dinner and the last few orders where getting boxed up as I came in. Grabbed the sodas we ordered and the pizza and headed out.

The pizza is delicious. A crunchy chewy crust throughout that makes you want to dip those crusts and a not too sweet sauce. While greasy, the pepperoni and cheese taste great and the ratio of toppings is perfect. Even the flat parts of curust offer a little crunch as you bite. I'm not an expert by any means but my wife who technically came from Brooklyn as a wee lass gives it a stamp of approval. If I recall correctly we had a couple slices ages ago here and the white pie should not be missed.“
