“Me and my husband decided to stop here even after reading the reviews. Let’s start with the good the food was delicious and they kept offering us more meat. If you want a smile or even an acknowledgment that your order was taken this is not the place for you. We asked for more rice and salad I looked over at my husband like did she hear us? Since the waitress didn’t respond, but she did because she gave us the rice and salad right away. The bad and truth in reviews, the gratuity charge is real even for the two of us they charged us 18% making the $22 per person more like $33 after soft drinks and tax. The miso soup was horrible, but the macaroni salad and salad was delicious. Our total bill was $66 for two people with the gratuity charge and two cokes.

I will come back again we usually have to drive an hour each way from downey to Korea town for good Korean bbq at castle bbq, but for a local spot the meat was tasty and well seasoned. If you want a smile or acknowledgment of your order during service or don’t want to pay for added charges without your consent for two people this is not the place for you. If you want good Korean bbq and don’t care about service or $33 per person or having to drive far for good Korean bbq this place is perfect.“

“One of my favorite places to get naengmyun. Mo Ran Gak is a name that is widely known to have reputable cold noodles.
When you get a meat dish with naengmyun, they give you a small side dish of the spicy one as well. Or vice versa if you got the spicy, you'll get the broth one as a side.
There is a small parking lot here and usually a line even right when they open.
I would advise on coming early or putting aside enough time to wait 1 hour before being seated on a busy day.“

Tried the Bulgogi Burrito at Marinate Korean BBQ and it was seriously 🔥! The beef was super tender and packed with flavor — savory, a little sweet, and really satisfying. Loved that they use fresh veggies 🥬 and gluten-free grains 🌾, so it feels lighter but still really filling.

The marinade is on point 👌 and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. Plus, it’s such a fun twist on Korean BBQ — perfect for grabbing on the go 🚶‍♂️🌯.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for something tasty and different. Can’t wait to come back and try more! 😋“

My 9 and 11 year old were charged the adult price, but hey it's only $21 for menu A. They usually just eat brisket but they liked the beef belly and ribeye bulgogi this time around. The pork belly was also really yummy. There is free thrifty ice cream near the door that we almost missed. Really great value. Would come back for sure.“

The variety of pickled side dishes was impressive and paired perfectly with the meat. Both the doenjang-jjigae and kimchi-jjigae were absolutely delicious. “Great spot for Korean bbq but they're not an all you can eat spot, nor do they have combos. Everything is a la carte so it can get pricey. But the food is good. Oh, and always ask for fried rice after the meal. You have to pay for it but it's worth it. Side note, ground gets slippery so wear something that grips. Greasy floors.“

“First time there was today. The portions were good size, and the food was delicious. The waitresses, that waited on us were very polite and asked us every few minutes If we needed anything. My son also liked the cuts of the meats and the sauces were very good along with all the sides. We will definitely be going back again. Also, for desert ice cream. Yum.“

They don’t take reservations, so depending on the time you may have to wait. For an all-you-can-eat place, the meat was surprisingly delicious. The portions per plate were quite large, but our attentive waiter kindly suggested ordering half portions, which was perfect for us since we don’t eat much. Our server was so sweet we had little ones with us so she asked if we wanted the food to be cooked in the kitchen. My son (7) and granddaughter (3) picky eaters really liked the food. “I don't know if I had high expectations or if the chef didn't show up during lunch time, but I was recommended cold noodles and pork cutlet, but I think they were below average.

The overall atmosphere was good and the side dishes were delicious, but the main dish was lacking. The taste of galbi cold noodles cannot be missed, but the ribs seem to have lost their flavor and the cold noodles leave a lot to be desired.

The soybean paste stew was really bad.

“I’ve been coming here for more than 10 years. This is the only kbbq place my husband and I go to. The new changes are fantastic! Great staff, service and food. They added mix drinks on their menu and I cannot be anymore happier. 🥰 we usually go during the day time and it’s usually not busy compared to other kbbq places that I have gone in the past. This place has always been my go to place. I think this place has been undervalued. Hoping with the new changes or new management, they will get noticed more.“
