“Family run restaurant. Direct from Goan India... so good! Yummy menu. I've ordered nearly everything (meat or veg) and all is delightful. My personal faves are the aloo Gobi, Dal makhani, Chana Masala, and baigan bharta. Meat dishes yummy, biryanis delicious, and my young kids can eat the mild, I don't go above medium- hot for myself (I love spicy food).“

I usually order the salmon sashimi dinner, and it’s always fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion. Their rolls are also really good, with great variety and consistently high quality. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit enjoyable. I also love that the wait times are short, even during busy hours. You never feel like you’re waiting forever to be seated or served. The service is consistently great, and the quality of the food is top-notch every single time. I met him while selling at a local farmers market a while ago-during or right after the pandemic. “The staff at this Subway are awesome. I came in at 9:30pm to order 17 six-inch subs for a student field trip, not realizing the store closed at 10pm (online it said it was open until 1am). Adrienne the girl at the counter was soooo nice to agree to make all the sandwiches, which ended up making her clock out late. She saved the day! The field trip with the kids was a hit and they loved their sandwiches.After I left I realized I accidentally left my credit card in the card reader (tired teacher). Alex F the morning guy kept my card safe for pick up after I got off work. You just don't find kind, honest, and hardworking people like Adrienne and Alex that often anymore.I believe the manager's name is Mr. Sunil.If you read this Sunil, you have two superstar employees working for you! “Barton’s is my go-to morning stop on the way to work. I’m there a lot, and it never disappoints. My regular order is the lox sandwich — about ten bucks and you get a fantastic toasted bagel loaded with all the good stuff. The bagels are consistently excellent, the cream cheese options are all great, and their espresso is top-notch. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you want a quality bagel and coffee to start your day.“

“Went here for a somewhat large family gathering. While not the best Mexican food I've ever had the quality was good. Every one in the group seemed to enjoy their meals and my steak burrito hit the spot. Margaritas were pretty good too. Staff were friendly and attentive.
I would suggest you guys take orders at the table like a normal restaurant instead of making us go up to the front desk and order. I get that you are probably short staffed but getting our group of over 10 people to the front of the restaurant and ordered took way longer than was necessary, and we ended up making other customers wait while we got everything sorted.
While I don't mind paying for my meal before I eat it, if you are paying with a credit card it means you have to tip before receiving service, which just seems backwards to me (a tip should be a thank you).

“This is a gem of a bakery and coffee spot. Tucked in the Woodland neighborhood in a residential neighborhood and you can get breakfast sandwiches, lunch in addition to their wonderful pastries and cookies. I took some home with me too. How this place doesn't have a line out the door all the time I don't know, but people need to know about this family owned place. They took over from the previous owners and they are so nice. Its calm and has a back patio too.“

“I don’t want to ruin this classic San Anselmo business’ income, but in lieu of a website or email address, I’m compelled to leave this public review in hopes that ownership sees it. You guys are over roasting your African beans to a criminal degree. Yirgacheffe and Tz pea berry are such delicate, complex beans, with so many floral / fruity / light flavors, that roasting them within an inch of their lives completely misses their point. Far be it from me to tell someone else how to run their business, but as someone with a deep knowledge of and passion for single origin light roast coffees, you guys shouldn’t do this to your (very expensive) Ethiopian and Tanzanian beans. Dark roast the other stuff. I’m sure most people want that. But please light roast those beans. I’m throwing away the one pound bag of yirgacheffe I bought yesterday, heartbroken at how burnt and undrinkable it is. For reference: V60 / medium ground / tetsu kasuya pour method. Side note: incredibly kind staff, and old school San Anselmo charm. Just burnt beans.“

“Great service. Lovely server. We all had the beet salad which was very good and our Mediterranean pizza was delicious ! Our friends said the same about their fig and pig pizza. The menu was awesome and we had a hard time deciding what to have...could have had a little of everything. My husband tried the local Rohnert Park pilsner which he really enjoyed and the server recommended a nice Sauvignon Blanc. It's a noisy place but was a nice energy. They have an outdoor area which I would not have enjoyed in cool weather but I can see it would be fine when weather is warm. All in all a wonderful find. Will definitely return.“

Their bread is baked fresh daily, sandwiches are made with that personal touch and the cooler is stocked with a plethora of great choices. They have beer on tap, an outdoor patio area seated away from the bustle of the main road, solid Wi-Fi and plug-ins. My personal favorite is the Lostrami on Dutch Crunch.“

“Visited for the first time and have to admit I was wary because of the reviews. Ended up talking with the owner for a few minutes and he was incredibly friendly. He's been running the place for 40 years. We talked about the history of the establishment and how he got into the gelato business. No rudeness and delicious gelato. The small seating area in the back was very nice for our small group. I would highly recommend it and plan to go back often.“
