“Las Palmitas is a solid, family-owned Mexican restaurant in Vallejo with deep roots in the community.
I was there for the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Banda Lonchera—something we do monthly—and it was a great spot for a midweek lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, especially for a Wednesday around noon. Good energy, not rushed, and easy to have conversations with the group.
I’ve been here before for drinks, and they have a full bar with a great selection, which makes it a good option for both lunch and after-work meetups. This time I had the quesadillas and enjoyed them. Portions were solid, food was good, and others in our group also seemed to enjoy their meals.
What really stood out was getting to meet the family behind the restaurant. This is truly a family business—started by the mom over 30 years ago and now run by her two sons. You can feel that history and pride when you’re there.

“It’s been a while since my husband and I visited this restaurant, and it never fails to impress us. The food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend it to my friends and family. The dining area has undergone some changes, but it’s still a pleasant experience. I particularly enjoyed the Lego display. “The Filipino deserts app has mold. Brought these to a party and thank God it was discovered by my guests at the party. Called to get a refund and below me off as a joke. Mind you my wife and I live one hour away and demanded that we bring back the product that was purchased back to them to inspect. I have been purchasing deserts from them for over 35 years and spend a lot of money. So sad and no accountability and glad no one got sick. I will be letting the San Bernardino health dept know of this crooked establishment not following State and court health codes.“

The sandwich shop was clean, the people who work there were all wearing masks and gloves. Everyone was polite and kind.
