“Went midweek last week for lunch, first time. The falafel wrap was just outstanding. Big, moist, crunchy enough, savory. The gyro wrap was tasty but overall should have been better. The gyro meat was grey, skimpy portion, and it was chopped into cubes so the sandwich did not hold together enough to eat without it falling apart. The pitas are just right. Great easy-on-the-wallet addition to Montclair and we'll definitely go again for the falafel and to explore the rest of the menu.“

“Got out of Oakland Zoo and found this place next to a liquor store but the food is deceptively tasteful vs the neighborhood. We order 2 gyros and a lamb bowl. Besides the ample portion, the meats (lamb, steak and chicken) are well marinated and tender. The lamb is not gamy at all. The fries that come with the order are so seasoned such that ketchup would actually ruin it.
Will definitely revisit next time I visit the zoo.“

“I'm a dialysis patient nearby and happened to be passing after treatment. Stopped in and MAAAAN. What you get for the price! The taste, atmosphere and customer service were on POINT. Will be back as soon as this treatment ends... TOWN “

“These guys opened, a few months later Shake Shack closes. I think it’s fair to say they put them out of business. Everything here is full of flavor, and FAST. I recommend the cheeseburger, have it your way, and the fried chicken. Haven’t tried the Philly yet, but I’m looking forward to it.“

“First time customer and I was impressed! I had the chicken mixed bowl, and a green smoothie. Both items were delicious. The ingredients in the bowl were very fresh. The chicken was moist and very tender with good flavor. I really enjoyed the lemon thyme dressing that I ordered along with the bowl (no charge, I believe). I was also really impressed with the prices but the bowl was not lacking in size! Very generous portion. I will look forward to trying more items on the menu next time.“

“Always some of the best hot dogs that I know of. I usually get the hot link and/or the big quarter pound hot dog with all the trimmings, i.e., chopped onions and tomatoes, mustard, ketchup, relish, and occasionally jalapeno peppers. The employees are always very kind, courteous, and professional. I definitely recommend Caspers Hot Dogs if you like great hot dogs.
Parking: There is ample parking on the restaurant parking lot. I never have a problem parking there.“

“The best fried chicken and waffles in the Bay Area!!! When you come to Oakland go to West Oakland to this store. You will not be disappointed.. They also serve banana pudding and peach cobbler, potato salad and macaroni salad. Everything is delicious, take my word for it!!!???“

“I'm really glad I tried this local place. I had the teriyaki grilled chicken, and the shrimp fried rice, and both were excellent. The chicken had more grilled color on it, and was less fatty than the Panda Express version. The portions were very generous. Probably the best fast-food chinese food I've had in a loooong time :)“

“I recently went through this Wendy's drive-thru late at night, and I was impressed by how fast and efficient the service was. Despite the hour, the staff was super friendly, and the food was amazing – everything you would expect from a Wendy's restaurant. If you're in a hurry and need a quick bite, this is the place to go. The process was quick and easy, and I was in and out in no time. Highly recommended for a speedy and satisfying experience!“

“East Oakland hood staple for dry fried ribs, chow mein, sweet & sour, and everything Chinese food. It's an old school hole in the wall. Mom and Pops owned joint. Food is always good, affordable, and on point.
They have Combo meals for a nice and fair price.“

“I don't really get cravings for Panda Express although their food tastes good because I associate the store with hazy food comas in college. However my partner wanted it for dinner so I ordered it through Doordash. The delivery was on time.
We both got plates. He got the orange chicken, Kung Pao chicken, super greens, and fried rice. I got the chow mein, eggplant tofu, and the orange chicken. We also got one chicken egg roll, one apple pie roll, and veggie spring rolls which came in two small pieces.
My favorite thing here is the orange chicken. The breading isn't too much, and the sweet and sour flavor of the sauce tastes good. I liked the chow mein too. I was looking at my partner's super greens though because some fiber felt like a good idea.
The chicken egg roll was a bit dry. It was much bigger than the veggie spring rolls. The chicken egg roll had a thick wrapper while the veggie spring rolls felt thinner, more like regular Asian egg rolls. The apple pie roll was dusted in sugar. It was crispy but I wish we ate it hotter. It was reminiscent of a churro. My partner said he would not have it again though, and I don't think I would either. The apple inside was a bit too sticky and sweet.
Overall this was a decent experience.“

“These are the best Pupusas for miles. They are crispy, wholesome and packed with stuffing. I have to get their Salvadorian Tamale as well. It is different from the Mexican variety as in the masa is really smooth, not grainy. Also these are cooked in a banana leaf. It's worth the trip, even though parking in the lot outside can be a bit problematic.“

“Great location inside marina village shopping center! Was really slow when I came to grab a bite, but it's usually slow at most times. Despite the cashier sliding my card with incredible attitude because i used a government benefit card to get my meal, the location was clean and cool with a working air conditioner.“

“February 1, 2025
Although McDonald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken have been recommended as the worst food to eat for an African American fifty-nine(59) year old man from East Oakland, California, I, Marcus Pea, ate at these restaurants, occasionally. During SOULBEAT earlier times to renovate, I, personally, witnessed a bridge of products from Eritrea to cure cancer type diseases through consumption. In other words, it was a great beginning between Eritrea, Africa and SOULBEAT in Oakland, California for consumable products to improve African American health on many top fatal and dangerous diseases or ailments. It was 2024. But, now, it's 2025 and beyond! A Reader, a Listener, an Oaklandner, a Californian, a Believer, and one of the sons of DECEASED Louis and Oriel Pea, Mr Marcus Pea or just Marcus Pea. It was February 1, 2025. Where are the new consumable products to remove CANCER and etc?
Thank you,
Marcus Pea
Wheelchair accessibility: February 1, 2025
Wheelchair accessibility helps customer service. Good luck McDonald's.
Thank you,

“Bring back the Beyond Burgers and lettuce try the signature burgers with a plant based sub. liked the Beyond Burgers when they were available for a vegan burger option. The Ghost Pepper burger looks really good if I could get that in vegan. They take EBT and are open late. They also have security personnel at night but it's very safe there. It's close to MacArthur Bart and 6 bus route. I like the advertisements of enlarged food to show texture.
Vegetarian options: Bring back the Beyond Burgers
Wheelchair accessibility: It's wheelchair friendly“

“I absolutely love this place! I had the best fish sandwich I've had in a long time. I was just driving by when I noticed this restaurant, so I decided to stop and order their fish sandwich with a meal. They give you a bag full of fries, and everything was delicious. The sandwich was great, the fish was tasty, and the sauce was perfect—no complaints whatsoever.
I'm planning to go back very soon to try everything on the menu. I still need to sample their milkshakes and ice cream, but I didn't have a chance on this visit. Overall, the food I had was stunning. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy, and I really appreciate how generous they are with the portion. I can't wait to go back!“

“This Taco Bell is in a super sketchy area of town near Oakland Airport. There is a Tesla supercharger next door in the McDonalds parking lot, and there are tweekers walking around all over like zombies from the Walking Dead looking in cars and coming up to beg for money or food. But the people at the TB were friendly and the food was prepared better than any TB I’ve been to in years!!“

“Best catfish in the Bay Area hands down! They're an older African American couple that drives down from Reno three days out of the week to open up the doors. Only complaint is the hours aren't consistent but understandably so. I drove from Vallejo one day on the weekend just for their fish that I had been craving. It is a MUST TRY :)“

“Start to finish delicious! We used to go to her spot in the Fillmore District SF called Gussie's Chicken & Waffles. Had the Bloody Mary's Revenge and the basil ginger soda, deviled eggs, fried chicken & sweet potato waffles, and the fried chicken sandwich. You can run & tell everybody that this is the spot! DJ Mark Divita during Sunday brunch gave us the perfect musical pairings.
Parking: Parking garage underneath the museum.“
