The conversation over their burgers on the cute reteo counter was definitely the highlight.“

The wait for my burger was less than 10 minutes (or at least felt like it). The guy who rang me up was nice, and the burger was good and maintained the majority of its structural integrity by the time I'd gotten home (you gotta take it home to eat or grub on the road as there's nowhere to sit and eat casually with the exception of a few chairs that operate as a waiting area).“

The best part is my area has brick and mortar stores where I just walk in and buy my meal prep for the week...Meals cooked in a local kitchen by real chefs with local fresh ingredients. I'm busy all the time and although I love cooking it's hard to cook for just one person. The majority of meals are 600 calories or less. An easy way for me to stay in my calorie deficit. I just had the chicken schwarma bowl and it was soooo good. Tasted just like a home cooked meal. Highly recommend“

Their Korean hot dogs are really good too, last time I came here I ordered both and ate it inside by the window and a guy outside just kept staring at me with disgust while I was devouring my food, I kept trying to hide behind the window poster and was kind of successful.“

“Bongo Burger is still the best burger in the Bay.

What makes it so good is the style. It’s not a massive, overloaded burger… it’s light (but filling), balanced, and somehow they manage to make a thin patty that’s still cooked medium-rare, juicy, and perfectly pink in the center. That’s surprisingly hard to find.

The grilled onions have are so good on the burger, really make it a signature. Add fresh chopped lettuce, ripe tomato, and the classic Bongo Burger bun, and it’s just a perfect combo. Also the use of two different color cheeses really makes it visually appetizing.

The fries are equally impressive. They’re crispy on the outside but somehow stay soft, fluffy, and full of actual potato on the inside instead of drying out.

The cooks are talented clearly.

On top of all that, the prices are incredibly reasonable, the staff is always friendly, and the vibe feels like old Berkeley in the best possible way.

The Euclid location is my favorite. I grew up eating there in the ‘90s, and I’m amazed that the quality is still just as good today. Places like this are rare. I hope Bongo Burger is around forever.“

But Honestly I don't think the Staff was really in fazes by this Rush. There cashiers and there Cooks handled everything with great attitude and good attentive awareness of what needed to be done. “I had the Chicken Mix Bowl with the smokey chipotle sauce and it was AMAZING. I am allergic to dairy, gluten, and soy so being able to not worry about that with my meal was so nice. I also have ARFID (avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) and have a really hard with certain textures, usually chicken is really hard for me to eat but I had no issues with this chicken!! The texture was consistent all the way through, pulled apart really easily, and was just overall amazing. The portions are really good and the food is very flavorful. I'm really happy with my meal. Thank you guys for the amazing food. I highly recommend this place!!“

“My family and I have been going to El Sol since 1984. The food is excellent, reasonable, large selection, quantity and the staff are so friendly, it’s like one big family. Their enchilada sauce is my favorite!“
