“Glorified fast food for me. Cafeteria style ordering and get your food at the counter when they call your name. My bf loved his cold sandwich and my grilled veggie panini was only ok. Mozzarella, avo, tomatoes, and bread. No seasoning to speak of. I ordered fries for $2.50 extra and wasn't offered ketchup. What is that weird batter they coat fries with now a days? It's supposed to be an old fashioned deli style establishment per its namesake, plus the Marilyn Monroe decor. I had to go to the counter several times to grab napkins, salt, and ketchup to tolerate the bland and messy food. I would visit again in a pinch but probably get a cold sandwich and pass on the fries.Vegetarian options: Mostly meat. No meat alternatives but you could build your own veggie sandwich or get the bland panini.“
“I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions (please enunciate your free add-ons especially on a busy weekend afternoon/evening because they thought i said extra lettuce somehow?!? like what? who would ever want extra lettuce…) but anyway pretty solid burger. Also got onion rings which were sadly not as good. The onions so very easily separated from the batter. I love the diner itself, immaculate vibes. Would definitely come again to try one of the shakes (sooo many options!!)“
“I was up on Telegraph with Paeekaa Haackootkoo lookin for his son in law because he forgot to take his medication. I wouldn't normally go to this extreme but the dudes an albino and if he doesn't medicate each day he'll turn just as pink as Pepto Bismol from the sun. Ohh... a Casper's ...I think I'll go on and get a couple of chili dogs, all this walking around made me hungry, and Casper's puts out the best dogs in the world! The last time this little pipsqueek forgot his meds he was in Tijuana and when he turned Pepto Bismol pink the Mexican police jailed him because they thought he was from outer space, they even called NASA to come get him. “Unfortunately this place is really went downhill. I've been eating here since this place first opened and the quality is nowhere near what it used to be. Came in with my son today and ordered cheese enchiladas and some tacos. Tacos were cold, enchilada sauce was watery, and the cheese inside the enchiladas was not melted. Staff is not friendly and did not even ask if we wanted to eat in. This place used to be my favorite place to eat.“
“I bought 12-piece mixed chicken and they were very juicy and flavorful even till the next day after they were microwaved. Each piece was much bigger than what I would get from KFC or Popeye. The owner was very friendly. The store atmosphere was what you typically would experience at any fast food restaurant but the food was unexpectedly delicious.“

“For many years our workplace had a generic food truck onsite that served up traditional tacos, burritos, and the occasional weekly specials like loaded nachos. They had pre-made rice plates too. The quality was decent but after a while its possible to get tired of the same-oh, same-oh.One day I began seeing a red food truck from my office window, as opposed to the plain unmarked white one. It turns out to be Golden Gate Bistro, who specializes in burgers made to order.I tried both the Akaushi Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken Sandwich and can recommend both. Akaushi is from Japanese Brown cows, and one of several sources of Wagyu. It'll cost more than In and Out or Habit Grill but its justifiable with the juicy burger. I also love their thick-cut, perfectly seasoned fries. If burgers aren't your thing, they also offer up smoked ribs, Impossible burgers, and the usual Mexican favorites like Quesadillas.“
“Checked out this local burger place in Berkeley after checking Yelp for burgers near Telegraph Ave and Cal. I had their turkey burger which I have to say was the best spiced turkey burger I have had anywhere. A good sized, thin patty came on a sesame see led bun with their standard toppings. Was one of the few times I had to be carful eating it as it was juicy and messy, which is not the usual case for a Turkey burger. Their fries were OK and the sesame seed bun was good but maybe not as soft as some would like, but overall a really great little burger joint. Has some interesting choices I will have to try next time, line the lamb Persian burger and Black Bean burger. Check it out“
“We've been coming here for years as this is our go-to local spot for ice cream. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. This place was a life-saver when my wife was pregnant and had late night cravings ?. It can get pretty busy especially during summers but there's usually one or two parking spots available.“

“I don't agree with the other review. I think it's more likely some of the customers are rude rather than the people taking time out of their day to prepare snacks and meals for people. I like the vegan dogs and onions. I like to read the political stuff on the walls. I pile my vegan dog with diced onions and ketchup. I'm kind of afraid of mustard. I don't know why people want to fill up their body with the innards of other animals.Animal cells start to decay inside people when they eat them over time there is decayed cells inside your bowels. The vegan dog is tasty it doesn't seem the same as a juicy New Yorker or Kielbasa though. Impossible Sausage gets more plump and juicy and I like the vegan casing. Remember you are basically eating the intestinal lining of animals that only grazing on some plant. I think the vegan dogs should be cheaper to see what happens to customer preferences. I think Top Dog should go all vegan. There is hypocrisy in the progressive values of the owners and workers. The workers in the meat industry are being exploited. I should write a letter to the business. Because I have enjoyed going to Top Dog for a long time. Don't change anything else but provide plant based food because eating animals is abuse not food and not healthy. There are other vegan dogs out there that Top Dog should sell. I can't afford the other eating options and I can't afford to cook my own vegan dogs rights.“
“I grew up in Omaha. I have a point. That is where the Ruben Sandwich was born. I moved away over 40 years ago and I have had mixed results finding a good Ruben Sandwich until I ordered one at the Red Onion. It was perfect. We will be going here more and more. Great food and friendly service.“

“All and all it's pretty darn good chicken and potato wedges. I also enjoyed the honey biscuits as well. Another great thing about this location is the soda fountain with a large selection it even has horchota . Great place to grab a bite to eat while you stop to refuel your vehicle.“
“Absolutely the best carnitas! We ordered the 15lb group meal for an appreciation luncheon for our winery staff (production, cellars, winemaking, finance, and marketing). Our crew raved about the carnitas. The food was authentic and so flavorful. One thing to note when ordering. I ordered through the Door Dash Storefront link and did not know I was supposed to confirm my order with the restaurant. When I called 30 minutes prior to us picking up, they said that I hadn't confirmed but they would get the order processed and they had it ready by the time we got there to pick it up! Outstanding customer service. It is best to have a Spanish speaker call in. I also think calling the restaurant directly is a better way to order for a large pickup. This place came highly recommended from one of our employees and it did not disappoint! We loved it.“
“The food was great, portions were great, price felt worth it, the building is quaint but charming. The only negative thing was the attitude of the employees. They weren't rude or offensive, but seemed disappointed that a customer walked in. Frowns on their faces and a sort of surprised look that someone walked in.Perhaps they were just tired that day. Cooking is hard work. Or maybe they just hate the job or hate life. Either way it felt rather uncomfortable in there as if I've caused them additional pain by ordering some food.
