“Nice staff great food would try again“

“My most recent visit to Chick-fil-A in Vallejo (Admiral Callahan location) was a good overall experience, especially in terms of customer service—but there are a few things to keep in mind.

This location is consistently busy. When I arrived, the drive-thru line was wrapped halfway around the parking lot, and there were several people inside waiting for mobile orders. I placed my order through the app about 10 minutes before arriving, but still ended up waiting around 10–15 minutes total for my food after checking in.

The staff handled everything very professionally. One employee checked on my order when I asked, and another brought it out, confirmed every item (including sauces), and even held the door open for me on the way out. The service here really stands out—friendly, polite, and attentive.

As for the food, I ordered the chicken strips and waffle fries. By the time I got home (about a 5-minute drive), the fries had already cooled down and were starting to lose their freshness, while the chicken was still warm but not hot. Reheating everything in the air fryer for a few minutes brought it back to near-fresh quality.

Bottom line:

I’m giving this location 4 stars. If you don’t mind a bit of a wait and plan to eat right away (or reheat), it’s still a solid choice.

“My husband and I were here on the first day that they opened. Unfortunately, they had to close their doors that night because that was the day the random power outages started. Ever since that day, we've been hooked with this place. They understand about vegetarians needs. They have one of the best vegetarian options ive seen for burgers. “Let me start off by saying I was in the area of Vallejo, which I am all the time. Decided to eat at this place for the first time. Pleasantly surprised one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. I ordered the double smash, classic and cheese fries. Proportions were very good and I personally cook smash burgers and they are hard to be topped and these are right in line. Pricing on these was very fair. Burger plus cheese, fries and medium drink 20 bucks. Not sure where you can eat and get quality like this anymore.“

“I bought 12-piece mixed chicken and they were very juicy and flavorful even till the next day after they were microwaved. Each piece was much bigger than what I would get from KFC or Popeye. The owner was very friendly. The store atmosphere was what you typically would experience at any fast food restaurant but the food was unexpectedly delicious.“

“A day in particular when I went there was Tuesday, October 11th, 2022. I ordered their $5 Biggie Bag and a free meal with a coupon. I have been on disability for over a year and their Biggie Bag and free meal deals do come in handy on my strict food budget. Their two self-serve fountain drink machines have very good varieties to choose from in regular and in diet options. Plus, they also have Dave's Lemonades which I'm so curious to try some day soon.

They did a good job in remodeling their restaurant.

BUT ....

On this particular day, I asked for the restroom key so that I could wash my hands first before I ate my meal. I was given the key for the # 1 restroom. When I opened it, there was a nude homeless man in there bathing himself!!! He must have snuck in there in-between dining patrons!! I notified the management about it! They need to do a better job of monitoring their visitors.

I finally got the key for the # 2 restroom. When I opened it, it stank like the previous person who used it REALLY DID A # 2! ??

Their restrooms need to be well-ventilated. One of their self-serve fountain drink machines ( the one on the left ) needs to be repaired. And their two ketchup dispensers don't dispense.

Update: Sunday, October 16th, 2022 @ 11:36 a.m.

I had just finished eating breakfast here. I asked for the restroom key so that I could wash my hands before leaving. I was handed the key to restroom # 1. I opened the door only to find out that there was a black man sleeping in there! I don't know if he was the same one from 5 days prior. I reported it to management.

I don't know about this place anymore. ??‍♂️ It has started to get bad. ?

Update: Since August 2024

They now have better control of how customers can have access to their restrooms. ? I don't believe that vagrants can sneak into the restrooms in-between customers anymore. At least, I haven't seen such a problem any longer since they escort each paying customer to an available restroom to unlock the door for them. ?“

“The first order taker took forever with the ladies right before me. I probably waited over 20-30min. He didn't explain the sizes well and misrepresented the price. The sauce was only in the middle, far from the edge and the cheese was worse.

The saving grace was the manager who made things right. I forgot her name unfortunately. She was attentive and wanted to make sure I was taken care of.

The guy firing the pizza seemed to know whose pizza was whose when they came out. If that makes sense. A bit tired right now. 😅“

“I came here during my lunch after having a really stressful day at work and honestly just needed a small win. I was using my rewards for a McChicken and didn’t plan on spending extra, but decided to treat myself to a blue raspberry frosty.

I asked Elena at the window if I could order it there instead of going back through the line, and she didn’t hesitate at all. She helped me right away, was super kind, and didn’t make me feel like I was being annoying or inconvenient.
