Popoca Oakland Reviews
I am Salvadoran. I had the hongos pupusa, the chicken pupusa, the yuca con chicharrones. Every bite was an adventure. The Salvadoran dishes are made so creatively. Flavors stayed on your tongue as the sauce of la yuca. The drinks exceptional good. I had the mango verde cocktail….so rico. It was like eating Salvadoran food on fine china.
The food was decent but nothing special. We had their steak and it was served already cold…we waited for our dessert for good 20 minutes. So overall was pleasant but I won’t go there on purpose for the second time… our waiter Andrew was friendly and polite though.
Limited options for vegetarians. A good change if you want to try Salvador food. Tres Leches was really good.
