Fish & Chips Restaurants near Orange, CA

“First timer here. The food was good. The fish was fried to perfection, and the portiin size was great. The fish was larger than I had anticipated. The fries were OK ( only because the fish was put on top of it so by the time I went to eat the fries, they were soggy from the Fish). The Cole slaw was delicious.
My kids ordered the chicken strip and I liked that it was battered and fried exactly like thr Fish. Loved the crunch. My only complaint is that it taste like it was fried in the same oil as the fish so the kids said their chicken taste like fish.
The restaurant was not well ventilated. The AC was cranked (I'm assuming for the cooks since I can only imagine that the fryers would get very hot). Unfortunately because the AC was blasting....as a patron, it felt REALLY COLD.
Also, i wish they had a way to vent out the fried food smell. The fried fish smell is very strong when you first step into the restaurant. Obviously over time, you get used to the smell but if they can figure out a good way to air out the place, that would be great.
The guy cooking was extremely fast and efficient..he was the only worker in there and he was knocking out orders left and right.
I would eat here again for sure.
If you are looking for Fish and Chips ... I would definitely give this place a try .

Vegetarian options: I THINK (i don't know for sure) that they fry their onion rings, French fries, and zucchinis in the same oil as their fish,other seafood and chicken so I'm not sure how "vegetarian" that would be.

“Delicious fish and chips made fresh per order. I ordered the original fish and chips which came with 2 large pieces of cod fish with crispy hot beer batter that came with seasoned fries. They are not stingy with their portions and got really full with this order. The people working there are so friendly; excellent service! $15 for my order; worth it for the portion and deliciousness!“

“I love sushi, and out of the amount of sushi places I’ve gone too, this one has blown my mind. “This place is the real deal. Easily one of the best fish and chips I've had in Orange County if not the best so far. You might convince yourself the near $30 price tag at places like santa monica seafood would give you better fish and chips but it's not the case. the batter here is crispy and much more delicate. not heavy and greasy like the beer battered options. I paid $12 for 3 giant pieces of fish. the value is fantastic and the quality is good. only complaints are that the inside can use a thorough dusting (don't look at the fan) and that the fries have potential to be a lot better. tbh if the fries resembled something closer to European chips I would pay another $10 for this plate happily.“

Pretty much everything on the menu is a unique blend of flavors. They feature three different mole sauces which were all good. I had the trabajo with my dish which had delicious flavor. “We originally had reservations at Boil Daddy. Boil Daddy called 7mins before our reservation to let us know they couldn’t accommodate a party of two because they had larger parties coming in.
We came to Raising Claw & it was the best seafood boil bag & customer service. They start you off with complimentary french fries. At the end they offer yummy ice cream. It was an incredible experience. We will definitely visit again.“

“I appreciate the good fish and side selections. They're quick and consistent. Love the fish and chips, rockfish, shrimp skewers, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries. My only complaint is that they put fries (sweet potatoes or regular) in the same to go containers as the rest of the food. By the time you get it home you're stuck with soggy yuck fries. Eat fries in-store and if carrying out, choose something else as a side.“

“Food is consistent. The last time we were here was pre-covid.

The ordering system takes a few trys to get used to, but this gentleman, Jesus made sure everything went smoothly.

On top of the food being delicious, Jesus, and his team made sure our experience here was top notch.

Edit: Prior to visiting pre-covid, we popped in last week and was helped by Marie. She was the reason why we wanted to dine in, again.

Then Jesus took the customer service to the next level.
