“Subway always has good food. The shop wasn't busy the day that I went and this employee actually gave me the extra mayo that I requested and was very attentive to what I was requesting. I ordered 4 sandwiches and she marked each one so we could tell them apart. Great job! This shop was located in Pacheco, the first time I had been there since the one we usually go to was closed. Good to know.“

“Simple deli with imported Italian goodies. It seemed family owned and like they had regulars. Really nice people and community vibe. There are many sandwiches to choose or you can make your own. We got one muffuletta and one turkey bacon with pesto, mayo, cheese, and veggies. The gardenia on the muffuletta was delicious! Tangy, flavorful, and chunky. We tried the sourdough roll and it absorbed the gardenia juice really well and not soggy. The turkey was loaded! We got the Dutch crunch bread. Both were very good, bread was amazing I could just eat the roll. I can’t wait to go back.“

“Best sandwiches in the area hands down. So bomb. The Italian is 10000/10 I’m addicted. Grilled prosciutto BOMB. We’ve also tried the Lucia’s Club - bomb. The applewood smoked ham - bomb. The NOLA - bomb. The veggie, the grilled tomato & basil -bomb & bomb. The staff is super nice and their playlist is always a vibe. Sometimes there’s a long wait but worth it. Just order ahead if you’re in a rush. So good!“

“I’ve been going to Ike’s since they only had one location, and was thrilled when they opened up in WC. Sandwiches are still just as stellar all these years later. Prices have increased significantly over that time, obviously they’ve gone up everywhere, but noticeably more at Ike’s than anywhere else. Still great, just more of a treat than a go too now.“

“I whipped into the Sourdough & Company for an Amazing deli sando while coming back from the Glardhaven Auditorium way out there on the top of Kickinmeyers Ridge road where we listened to Pinkus McGee lecture on the do's and don'ts of poking sharp sticks at the Bison in Yellowstone park...he even showed everyone the scars where he was gored, all 8 of them.

“I had the absolute best experience today at Mendocino Farms in Walnut Creek thanks to John C. From the moment my family and I walked in, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. John’s hospitality was outstanding. He treated us with genuine kindness, patience, and care, making sure every detail of our order was perfect.

It wasn’t just about great customer service. John created an atmosphere that felt warm and personal. He checked in on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and took care of my entire family as if we were his own guests. That level of attentiveness and professionalism is rare and truly made our visit memorable.

Mendocino Farms is already one of our favorite spots, but John turned a regular lunch into an exceptional experience. I cannot thank him enough, and I hope the team knows what a gem they have in him. We will definitely be back and asking for John!“

“Great deli / cafe attached to a catering business. Sandwiches are outstanding. Meat piled high and very fresh vegetables. Roll was soft and light, also.

The deli operation closes at 2:00 pm daily and is closed on weekends. But in-between that, you can get a great sandwich here .

They have housemade salads of all types, incl pasta etc. I didn't try them but will - they all looked great

And, it is one of the few places to sit down and eat around here that doesn't try to shake a tip out of you at the cash register before even trying the food.

“This is a very pleasant spot to have lunch. It is a clean and comfortable dining room that is quiet enough to sit by yourself or to have a conversation. “This particular Subway is very clean and efficient. I had two people in line in front of me with 2 employees behind the counter. From entrance to exit (with sandwich in hand ) was about 5 minutes. The price of Subway sandwiches have really gone up, but again, what hasn't? Just make sure you bring in a coupon and your footlong will be $7 and change (coupons do not include the specialty sandwiches). Great place for a quick (really quick in this case) bite to eat!“

“I’ve been to this Subway location a couple times when in the area at the Best Western a block away. Today an older woman was working and she had my sandwich ready when I arrived after ordering on the app. It was 11am, but no other customers present on a Saturday. Last time an Indian girl made my order, but she seemed really stern. Only reason I don’t rate five stars is because this location does NOT participate in any app deals or coupons whatsoever. Seems to be typical though of most Subway locations I visit throughout California.“

“It took almost 30 mins to wait in line. There was one employee working and it got busy. Poor guy was trying his best . There was an order pick up that was supposed to be ready 15 mins. a go, so I let the clerk helped him first. I wasn’t upset that I waited awhile. I feel bad for the young man working there. Sandwich wasn’t bad.“
