“The most civilized place to dine in Carmel. We are always made to feel like guests visiting a friend in their cozy dining room. As for the soufflés—delicious, a bit decadent and most enjoyable. Given that it's only lunch service, there is no reason not to get 10,000 steps on the beach post-lunch! We will be back!“

“Although we are frequent visitors to Carmel, this was our 1st experience @ L'Escargot.... and definitely not our last! This was our Anniversary Dinner.... The beautiful warm set set was perfect for outdoor dining. The escargot appetizer was done nicely, petrale sole's delicate flavor was not masked by the herb sauce; the classic French Boeuf Bourgogne took me back to our favorite brasserie in Paris!! “We had such a great dinner at Bistro Moulin! The restaurant is quaint with an inviting but relaxed vibe, and the service felt intentional and personal. The food was delicious! We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We ordered the caesar salad, spinach gnocchi, fish of the day and filet mignon. Everything was fresh, reasonable portion sizes, and super flavorful. The fish was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while! The filet was cooked perfectly and the peppercorn sauce on top was so good. For dessert we had the mousse special and it was insane. Wine selection was also on point! The owner was our server and he was so nice and attentive. We’re just visiting, but we’d definitely return! Highly recommend for a great meal while in Monterey!“
