“I took my husband for Father’s Day brunch/lunch at our favorite Italian restaurant here in the Palisades and as always it did not disappoint. It never does. He loved his steak and eggs, steak was Devine and I loved my chick pea soup. Always have the panne cotta and the cherry gelato and an espresso in their delightful patio and you’ve been to Italy!“

“The stars aligned. We were overjoyed to find a BOB vegan restaurant, inspired by grandcestor Dr. Sebi's alkaline nutritional guide. Highly recommend Beyond Vegan - Culver City. The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Purple wild rice was a delightful surprise. Diversity in texture, flavor, colors, and quality ingredients. No better way to catch up with a friend than eating outdoors at Beyond Vegan!“

“I love coming here!!! I always get their feta omelette and devour it every time. All their pastries are amazing, I wish I lived closer 💔 Yes, they have a non-vegan establishment next door that is technically in the same building, and I believe it is a shared kitchen, but I’ve never had any issues. “This is a great place for a date whether you're vegan or not. The sushi is pretty decent, and there are plenty of options. I'd recommend getting a reservation in advance as it can get busy during certain evenings, and it doesn't have the most seating.“

Additionally ordered cucumber salad which simply was an added benefits to clean the palate after every bite. Overall an excellent late lunch with quality food! Justified its rank as #2 in the US and #44 in the world. That crust is the perfect fluffy-yet-chewy balance, and you can taste the quality in every bite Also, make sure you save room for their tiramisu to end your meal.

“The pasta was delicious, but we had to wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged, and when they did take our order, it was for everything and they “ran out of bread we run out all the time” at 7pm on a saturday. Restaurant 101: greet guests quickly, offer them some wine / drinks, even if you’re delayed on taking their order. Also offer more salad options or appetizers and we would’ve easily ordered dessert if it was offered.“

“I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. “My partner and I LOVE Vegan Glory! We have enjoyed everything we've tried on their menu, and the servers know us well by now! (They have a LOT of regulars.) We bring in everyone who visits us from out of town and we like to tell the story about the time we sat one table away from a famous musician. Our favorite menu items include: Vietnamese bun / Papaya Salad / Freshy rolls /Spicy Yakisoba /garlic green beans / pineapple fried rice / Khosoi (yellow curry noodles) / Yellow Curry / Pumpkin-Eggplant tofu / Hong Kong Eggless Noodle in Tom Yum soup with fried Impossible dumplings (that one's not on the menu but you can ask for it). They have several protein options: Soy Chicken /Soy Pepper Stake / Seitan / Soy Fish / Tofu / Soy Shrimp / Soy Chicken Nuggets We often get Thai tea (and sometimes carrot cake to take home). Staff has always been friendly about making any adjustments (sometimes I'm craving a specific vegetable), and if you get Joy as your server, she'll make lots of recommendations.“

“We were treated here by one of my rich friends and honestly, that’s probably the only scenario where a place like this makes sense for treating the whole family out. My family has a very high bar for food. People say I’m picky, and I’m like, “Please… meet my mother.”

Service-wise, this place is flawless. The staff is charming, attentive, and somehow manages to make you feel both fancy and comfortable at the same time.

Since it’s family style, we shared practically everything and with a party of seven, those plates add up fast. By the time the table was full, the bill was basically giving luxury vacation energy.

Out of everything we tried, the Radiatori Braised Beef Ragu was the clear standout. Rich, comforting, and the kind of pasta that shuts everyone up at the table for a minute.

The Garlic Knot bread was good, though we weren’t big on the pieces with the garlic ends. After some research (and by research, I mean a heated family debate followed by frantic Googling), we realized that’s a pretty common thing in restaurants — just not our personal preference. Oh and the drinks were on point :)

Overall, a lovely, polished meal… definitely best enjoyed when someone else is picking up the tab.“
