“This was a great meal! The side salad/soup/apps/entrees came out of the kitchen fairly spaced out so it felt almost like a fine dining experience. Did take a while so know that it is a whole dining experience - not just a quick meal out to eat. I got the Saba no Shioyaki grilled and liked that better than the sushi my partner got. The tempura was amazing and so was the Age Dashi Tofu appetizer!“

“Came here for the first time and I’m impressed! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the beef teriyaki and it was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and the sauce was spot on. The presentation was beautiful as well. My wife had the Sushi Salmon Paradise and loved every bite, and my father devoured the Megabite roll. We also had the tempura string beans with onions — crispy, light, and just downright delicious. This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood — you’ve got to try it!“

“My favorite sushi in the Bay Area! I drive all the way from San Jose just to come here almost weekly. The fish is extremely fresh and melts in your mouth. Consistent quality! Peggy and her staff are great people! I can only speak very highly of them. It’s a small place but the vibe is warm and welcoming. Highly suggest stopping here! And ask for the spicy edamame- it’s a secret menu item and it’s amazing! Also great vegetarian options- the eggplant roll is incredible!“

My girlfriend got the two piece bento box with agedashi tofu and saba; it came with rice, miso soup and a small salad that was crispy but she said the dressing could be better. “One of the most delightful spots in SF. Given how incredible the quality of their food is, they could charge more if they wanted to, but they keep it cozy. The Toro Uni Ikura mini-don is worth flying across the country for. The nigiri omakase is massively underpriced and incredible. The tri-tip katsu is light tapas fare (instead of a huge filling portion) that tastes better than what I had in Tokyo. Strong recommend.“

“Good for lunch. Really value for your money. I had the sashimi lunch set and my wife had the chicken wing and salmon sushi set and both were really fresh and good. Will definitely come again ! Weekdays - reservations not really needed, but I've come by on weekends and you should make reservations.“

The ramen always has so much noodle. It’s not the best ramen, but it’s fairly cheap, consistent quality, good value. Everything comes out so quickly, and this location is very convenient.
The only thing I did not like one time was the fried pork (?) that came with my tantan ramen tasted kind of old.“

The couple next to us was talking VERY loudly and we couldn’t concentrate on our thoughts which was very distracting. The restaurant was also playing this bad pop music as if we were in a department store. The experience just made us want to eat quickly and leave! It’s a shame since the food was great.“

I was working nearby on a evening schedule, me and my coworker were browsing through DoorDash since we were in need of a quick bite and we decided to give this place a try. They offer many authentic Japanese dishes from traditional sushi rolls, specialty rolls, appetizers, ramen, sashimi, vegetarian items, bento box, party trays and much more to choose from. We were both excited when the order was placed, at that point we got even more hungrier and could not way to try the food we ordered. Finally the food arrived and it was time to dig in. The food was fantastic, delicious and has great quality where I believe they carefully select their ingredients. Everything here is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. One day I will make a visit to dine in here. I highly recommend this place to all sushi/Japanese food lovers, if you need a quick bite just like me or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.“

“came here for their $38 sashimi omakase. which was really good and fresh. great for the price for the selection we received & portions. sashimi came with a side of sushi rice. we also got the truffle ramen which I though was okay but my daughter loved it. “I was so happy to find this truck in the empty lot next to Tselogs. I love Benihana so when I saw the Hibachi truck with all their offerings I was so happy. My favorite is the filet mignon plate! They ask you how you like the meat cooked. You get mushrooms and vegetables with the plate and delicious ice cooked in the fat and butter of the meat and veggies! So tasty and flavorful! They give you hibachi sauce which is a spicy thousand islands, not my favorite wish they had the sauce of Benihana. They also give a buttery sauce, maybe they should add garlic and herbs to the butter to make it tastier since it tastes like plain butter to me. Also got the filet mignon and scallop plate, the scallops cooked a little too much so left it dry. Hopefully they have better dipping sauces but for about $35 it's a very hearty and filling meal. You get good quality ingredients! Will continue supporting them!“
