“I visit this restaurant roughly 2-3 times a year. This trip, I was here for their lunch combo special for $16.95. I chose the house salad, pot stickers, and spicy basil chicken. I also had the Thai fish cake appetizer dish. The food was good, though i think grounded chicken would’ve tasted better than sliced chicken for my spicy basil dish (but that’s my personal opinion). Services was good, and the place is no frills but clean.“

“So far I get takeout here as the seating is limited. Their food is delicious and I like the takeout because they use the paperboard containers and a sturdy paper bag. Hot food in plastic is harmful. Their portions and prices are fair and the sesame balls are amazing.“

“This palce is a certain of community and history on Bernal Heights. Old friends come in to greetings of hugs and kisses from the staff. New patrons are welcomed in almost equal fashion! The food and vibe is hearty and made with love. No Reservations. Come over, put you name down, but you can enjoy wine or beer from a freat ludt inside or outsides as you wait. Shhh!!! Don't tell anyone else.“

“Discovered this restaurant recently and this was my second visit. The food is delicious and place is clean and pretty full on a Friday evening so that says something. The service is okay.
The music was a tiny bit loud and the type could be reevaluated, but maybe it's just me.“

“Khao Tiew San Francisco is a standout establishment, serving delicious, simple, and authentic local Thai dishes. They truly impress with creative and tasty twists on old favorites, such as their exceptional Khao Soi.
The baseline heat level is mild, which is perfect for most palates, but you can easily customize your spice level by adding the hot powder conveniently available on the table. Highly recommended!“

“I travel around the world for work and this Thai restaurant is quite possibly amongst the best I’ve tried. I will return every time I’m in San Francisco. Also, it’s a few blocks out of the way and was not busy on a Saturday at 6pm. Take advantage of excellent food without a wait before everyone finds it!“

“No wait and lots of open tables. We came around 6:00pm on a Monday. We have been coming here since the original location was on Monterey Blvd. All their food is delicious and not Thai spicy unless you want that burn and I am sure they can help you with that.
They start you off with a basket of fried shrimp chips and a tamarind dipping sauce. Plus water for everyone.
Their Thai ice tea is always on point. Pad Se-ew with Chicken has been my go to dish. Double cooked Duck. 😋 Their whole menu has wonderful options.“

“Great food with excellent, fresh ingredients. Beautiful place and excellent addition to Glen Park!“
“They share a storefront with Rooster&Rice. The Rainbow Beef with Garlic Noodles was 10/10. (Only got a photo after devouring most of it.) Seasoned well and beef was very tender. Mango sticky rice was also delicious. Staff was super friendly and it was a very welcoming atmosphere. Give them a taste!“

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. We had some vegans in the group and vegan options were good too. Everyone in my team loved it. Thank you for a wonderful evening!“

“We had the Chicken Burrito while drinking beers at the Laughing Monk Brewing- both were very delicious! Great flavor in the burrito and a good amount of heat! The owner was so thoughtful and even asked us if we were enjoying our meal when she delivered food to other customers. 👍🏼👍🏼“

“Ok well let me start off by saying, pictures will not do this place justice, nor will talking about it. You need to experience it for yourself. As someone who travels often looking for places to eat this place does not miss! I ordered 2 different plates and a drink and all i can say is, Delicious! 1st plate was a pork belly with over easy egg, artichoke, and potatoes wedges. Pork belly was melting in my mouth at how good it was! The egg on top made runny was perfect with the artichoke because it literally had me in a chokehold(in a good way) lol... (and mind you, im not big on artichoke) the sauce from the pork belly and runny egg was good for the wedges and 😩 my goodness. I can speak only good of the next plate.
The second plate i ordered was a chicken and waffle plate, and when I tell you it was good, I mean it. The chicken was tender, juicy, crispy on the outside, and flavorful. I decided to pour the honey over both the chicken. And the waffle and I'm glad I did! Just made it that much better. The fruit around the plate was all crisp, sweet, and very meticulously placed around the platter. Not one sour blueberry or badly flavored orange. To top it all off my drink order was a lavender lemonade, and mind you the chicken and waffle was sweet so you would think to yourself, I won't be able to taste the lemonade after eating something sweet? WRONG. the drink is very beautifully made and tastes just as wonderful. If there's one thing I could think of in terms of improvement it would probably be the lavender in the lemonade wasn't strong, but aside from that I had no problem drinking it nor eating anything on my plates. I will definitely make sure to come back with friends.“

“I would say this as one of the best thai food places in the South San Francisco area. I tried tom yum soup, panag curry & iced coffee which all turned out to be delicious.
Especially the quality of panag curry was good.
The dine in space is small and service was pretty fast.“

“This place was surprisingly great. New ownership, so I imagine they will probably redo the inside at some point - but the food and service was all really nice. Great Tom Kha & Kua Kai Kai Ob Noodles. We took my mother in law out for her birthday and they even served coconut ice cream with a candle :) will visit again.“

“This is the best Thai restaurant that San Francisco has to offer and it is truly one of a kind: prices are exceptionally reasonable, the layout is clean and Zen, and the parking is abundant. From years of developing a strong palate for local Asian cuisine, Ocean Thai has delivered beyond my demanding expectations. I ordered the Thom Ka soup, Prawns Chao Lay, Larb Salad, and the Miang Kham spinach wraps. All of these were delightfully fresh and delicious. I will return in short time to once again explore its well-assorted menu.“

“Came in on a rainy Sunday afternoon and the whole inside was very empty. We were seated quickly and had our order taken and the food was coming out quickly. Chicken satay is nice, the shrimp in sleeping bag app was also really yummy.I ordered the house noodles and this was a great quantity and came out nice and hot. We sat there for a while just chilling and they cleaned our table and would fill our water. Their food tastes great overall and I would come back here. Parking can be tough though (as it usually is in the mission). Thanks!“

“I love Champa Garden. They serve authentic Lao (and Thai) food, including delicious papaya salad, larb (both of which you can get Lao or Thai style), and perfect sticky rice. The rice ball dish is also delectable! I'm looking forward to trying other dishes. And their prices are very reasonable!“

“What I appreciate most about this cozy local gem is the delicious honest food, staff and ambiance. It’s just an honest to goodness great place that’s been here for decades and I truly respect that, in an era where most restaurants get too fancy with chaotic music and weird fusion menus for the sake of being “cool.” But not here. This husband and wife team deserve all the patronage, they are hardworking and genuinely friendly folks. Upon entering, the wife came out from back, greeted us right away and offered us to pick any table. We ordered some beer, Tom Yum Koong and Pad Thai. Fairly basic items but there was something special about each of them. The beer was ICE cold and also came with a frosty mug. I don’t know why most restaurants/bars don’t offer the frosty mug anymore but it’s a detail that shows an extra level of thoughtfulness for their customers. Next, the Tom Yum Koong soup, which came out quickly. Note: a medium level heat is still fairly tolerable. The highlight of this soup was a surprising slight sweetness, we couldn’t place where from but it was pleasant and overall delicious. Lastly, the well plated shrimp Pad Thai with generous sauce had excellent depth of flavor. We were so impressed with a tasty affordable dinner, which came out to less than $60. I also appreciated the little tamarind candy that came with the bill. Parking is easy as there’s a small lot in front and street parking. There are so many small details to love at Pacifica Thai. We look forward to returning soon!“
