“Casa Chaskis on the westside is one of our favorite Peruvian restaurants. Fresh ingredients, and flavorful dishes.
I love that they have the community garden for fresh ingredients for their dishes, but they also share with the community.
It’s such a vibe there from their cute patio to the Peruvian decor inside.
The lomo saltado is delicious, and the chaufa rice is enough to have leftovers.“

“as recommended by ishigo optometrist over the road : we have just finished a great lunch- the restaurant is clean and modern with booths and tables and cheerful staff - big and well presented mains- I had pho: the others had the spectacular looking garlic shrimp noodles: we particularly liked the crispy: rolls and rounded off with coffees of course. now off for a long walk to settle it all down.“

It's a weekly meal for us.
With Arroz y Frijoles. Any other combination choice will NOT include TORTILLAS. The green SALSA, fire!!!! My wife loves this plaCe. When I show up at home, the Cat n Dog go crazy!!! Juiciest breast ever... has a chicken soup great for sick days.

I do enjoy the new York steak. However, seasoning could match Western Hollywoods location.

“Such a rare hole in the wall gem! It’s rare to come across a family owned place that’s got food like this. I liked the food and the service. For this area where there’s not a lot of good Spanish options, we’re lucky to have this place in our neighborhood. Highly recommended!“

“Ceviche de Pescado was almost perfect. Plate wise it reminded me of what I had in Peru. Had all the right additional ingredients and marinade. Only thing holding the dish back was the fish being used (swai, very fishy taste) and prep (pieces were too big). One suggestion i would do, reduce the portion size but get a better quality fish.“

“Toyitos is a jewel in the city of Downey. Best Rotisserie Chicken around. I love Chicken with fries and Salchipapas( sliced hotdogs and fries). The chicken has special peruvian flavor and peruvian sauces. Don’t forget the ice cream Lucuma flavor, and the peruvian soda Inka “

“Good food, good ambiance and amazing customer service. The restaurant has two aji options, one spicy (green) and one super spicy (orange). The servers are super nice and friendly. The quality of the beef is great, soft, and tender.
The Aji has a kick and it’s definitely addictive. I would definitely go back. The prices are still very competitive.“

The little snack that accompanies the ceviche should not charge them, they charged me 12 dollars because without knowing I ordered twice but minimum details in general recommendable“

“We had the hots for broiled chicken and it was very good, it wasn't dry, it didn't feel like the chicken had been sitting in shelf waiting for a customer to ask for chicken to have your chicken to be quickly served, the seasoning was very light while at the same time it was juicy, the one full chicken was served on a big plate served with French fries, a lettuce salad for $46 (maybe the two sparkling waters elevated the total price this high) the price itself is a downer for us not to go back. It was good, yet not a to die for finger licking type of full flavor chicken for that price.
The atmosphere was the best, we happened to arrive at a karaoke time, and since I lived in the Karaoke Capital of the world, which is Japan, I can tell you that this place is a gem when it comes to Karaoke for Spanish-speaking mature people that enjoy the 70's probably stretching all the way to the 90's romantic broken heart ballads and songs that have to do with, so if this is what you are into, you won't be disappointed, they have the best sound system and everyone was enjoying the good talented amateur singers.
They have good parking, the restrooms are clean, the staff was very cordial, amicable and with very good positive attitude, if you come to eat during Karaoke hours expect a very loud music that feels nice if the music described above is the type of music that stimulates tu corazoncito o lo que aún le queda de corazón destrozado, a mí, me encantó, quizá deba ser que mi corazón parece parrilla de asador de esos que se utilizan para asar a las brasas.“

“I love Pollo Inka it is so good I think that everyone should try it. I love the lomo saltado and my family's favorite the whole rotisserie chicken meal with two sides and soup. The restaurant itself inside is small enough to accommodate only a few customers“

“I been to multiple Peruvian restaurant sand I swear to god this is the best restaurant with Peruvian food ,Mario Danessi was so kind he gave us our food right away IT HAD PERUVIAN TASTE I FELT LIKE I was in Peru THANK YOU MARIO !! ☺️ the ceviche , the rachi and anticochos were soo good !!“

“Don’t understand how people expect service immediately when they want something fresh . Waited for my food but worth every penny . Food is great and great location. Other reviews that never tasted the food and gave it a bad review makes me think they might feel entitled to get full attention.“
