“A very cool and trendy gem in the city of Long Beach. Located off Willow Street & Hayes Avenue, this spacious but quaint spot has booths and tables w/ chairs for your dine-in needs and offers prompt takeout, as we saw several orders prepared and picked up for enjoyment. I'd heard of Plantita, but hadn't really been exploring Long Beach until recently and mainly with my boyfriend who's always down for a plant-based excursion. The menu has a variety, but not an overwhelming amount and the ambiance matches the decor. It's vegan millennial core for sure! We had the asada burrito and flauta plate. I order the enmolada plate, but there was a little confusion. The flautas were the best mistake ever! So flavor and yummy and baes burrito was a massive favorite both in size and enjoyment. We definitely noted a few things for our next trip. Parking is super limited, but there's street parking in the area (mainly residential along Hayes and neighboring blocks). Plantita has great decor, not too overwhelming. A great staff and they also have a variety of beverage including wine!! And the VeganWineLush (Quintin aka me) loves their wine lol We had an event right after so didn't want to be too full from all the great eats/comidas, but might just go for it all next time.“

“Stopped in for lunch today after seeing a post on Instagram. It’s nice, clean and right on the corner in the shopping center. It looked like the parking lot was packed but there was plenty of parking upon further review. The waitress was so nice and sweet. (I hate that I didn’t ask her name) I got the Loco Moco and the Beignets. Both were REALLY GOOD. She actually didn’t charge me for the dessert because it didn’t come out the way they liked……. It was GOOD to me!! I am not a fan of creamy, mayonnaise, ranch, béchamel, hollandaise, type of sauce so I chose the safe route this time. It was delicious. Very filling and full of flavor. “We really enjoyed our meal. Great food and service by our server. With exception that , when we arrived the manger was not very inviting. We just wanted to let them know about our party. She seamed bothered and annoyed our inquiry. Upon leaving, I had to use the restroom and noticed that there was no soap in the restroom so I went to report it to the manager and again I was treated as if it was a bother for me to report the neglect. After noticing the sign in the restroom that said all employee should wash their hands. I was not confident that my complaint would be remedied anytime soon.“

Sunny Express has both Chinese and Mexican vegan food and it is SO GOOD!

I got the orange nuggets (a small is 8!!) And the habanero wings, which are shredded chikn wrapped around sugarcane 'bones'. Incredibly flavorful and satisfying if you miss real meat.

I also got a hibiscus steak burrito, their carrot cake, almond cookies (not vegan, but very delicious) and chileqilles for breakfast.

“Had lunch here while visiting Long Beach for the day. The exterior is not very inviting but what waits inside was an incredible surprise. Some truly terrific vegan Mexican food. My guest had a fajita burrito with vegan chicken and green sauce. I had burrito with Tempeh and red sauce. The plates arrived with very generous portions and arranged on the plate like a work of culinary art. I knew then that this was going to be something special and it was. So delicious! I couldn't finish it all and I don't normally get a box to take food home. This time I did, it made a great dinner tonight. There was a case filled with tasty looking desserts. We got 3 to go, a brownie, carrot cake, and a Coconut cake. They where all incredible. I can't wait to eat here again. The service was excellent too. This place is truly a rare find and I have added it to my list of favorite vegan restaurants, I think it just became #1.“

“This is the best place in LA for teriyaki. I got the chicken and beef plate. The sauce is sweet and delicious, the chicken is perfectly grilled with a nice charbroiled flavor, and the beef is tender. Make sure you add the fresh avocados which pair perfectly with the meat and rice. I enjoyed adding the complimentary hot yellow chilies as well.

This is my third visit here and tonight the beef seemed a little bit fattier than usual like it wasn't trimmed enough, but other than that, everything was perfect. I will be back.“

One of the staff members let me know they were remaking my burrito because they forgot to put avocado on it which was really kind of them, and also offered me a beverage on the house while I waited which was really kind and appreciated. I ate the burrito while omw to workout and it was delicious! My price was high because I got all the protein and avocado. Otherwise it would have been $18+tax and tip“
