Starbucks in Pasadena

“I was rushing back from a meeting in Pasadena and saw this Starbucks.
The great thing about it was it wasn't too busy so I thought to order a Matcha coconut milk late and a lemon loaf.

The only thing was I thing somehow they forgot my matcha coconut milk. I had ordered it to drink at the store and hot.
I watched lots of customers pick up their drinks and noticed after a while some had lined up well after me.

I don't like to ask the staff as they always looked busy but I finally did ask was my order still being made and this was at least 10minutes later. They told me they thought it was being made and walked checked with the other staff. Then, it was somehow forgotten. I was a bit disappointed but still wanted my matcha coconut latte so I said it's okay I'll wait.

The thing is it still took several minutes to make and I'm not sure as I make Matcha latte's at home and I can do it in about a minute. Next time I'm in the area I will drop back in as it might have been just an off day for the staff. I feel like the staff tried their best once they realized what had happened.

On the other hand, the Lemon Loaf did not disappoint. In fact, the Lemon Loaf was really fresh and a bit fluffy and lighter than I last remembered it. I've attempted to bake the Starbuck's version of this Lemon Loaf at home multiple times and it's never quite the same. I wonder what they put in it..... Anyway this was really awesome and made up for the delay with the Matcha Latte.“

“So happy this loc is back to late night lobby hours!! (Lobby open till 10pm) *unless some random issue with scheduling/staffing.

About 6-8? months ago they reduced lobby hours and I had to search elsewhere for a place to study late night. So glad it’s back to normal again!

No electrical outlets at this place. Mostly metal chairs/stools. Just the 4 cozy chairs at the small tables. No high tables here (for those who like to stand and do their work).

And they do bags of coffee grounds for the garden/composting!“

“I haven't had Starbucks in a while cuz it became kind of bland to me but then I needed it while I was working and I got a sandwich too It was all amazing I want to give a shout out to Luna not only for making the best food and drink but bringing it to me while I watched our equipment and the other employees had a great attitude vibe all around“

“The team at this Starbucks just gets it right. Each time we go, our drinks are made perfectly without fail. The management is quick to fix even the appearance of an issue which makes all the difference. The baristas are kind, competent, and look for ways to brighten your day or night since they're open 24 hours a day.“

“Praise to the hard workers at this Starbucks. This place is one of my favorite stops. They are friendly. They are professional. They are awesome. I visit a number of coffee places in Pasadena and a lot of times the people behind the counters aren't very polite. They look miserable and seem to resent having to serve - which is what they're being paid to do! This place just seems to have the magic mojo. After almost every visit I walk out with a smile. It's just a wonderful thing to share a kind moment. The owners and managers get it. They seem to make their employees feel appreciated and motivate them to be their best. “Consistently solid experience at this Starbucks. The coffee is reliable, and the menu has a good range of drinks and snacks for all tastes. Staff are usually friendly and efficient, though service can slow down during peak hours.

The space is clean and great for a quick stop or getting some work done if there’s seating available. Mobile ordering is super convenient. Prices are on the higher side, but you know what you are getting. Overall, a dependable spot for your caffeine fix.“

“Most Starbucks have friendly staff, but this one is a step above. First off they say and spell my name correctly, which makes me so happy. Secondly, they give great drink recommendations when I've wanted to venture out to try something new. They recommended and iced Caramel Brulee latte... So good! The other customers seem different too from other locations. Super interactive and helpful to others. The times I've been inside have been a very pleasant experience, both because of the staff amd the patrons.“

“This Starbucks is located in the large Vons Market at 2355 East Colorado Boulevard Pasadena California. It is a great location for this coffee shop. When you first walk into the Vons entrance by the elevator, Starbucks is located to your right. There is a nice counter with staff making your choice of coffees. There is also a display of bagged coffee both whole bean and ground available in the surrounding area.

When I was there the staff was very helpful and friendly, making suggestions about different coffee drinks. There was one person taking orders and another person making the drinks. I was able to order a seasonal coffee to have at one of the tables in the surrounding area. It's nice to have a place to sit and figure out what you might want to add to your grocery list as you enjoy your coffee.

I was also able to pick up a pound of a nice dark roast to take home.

I still have a Starbucks card and was able to use it at this location. I also was able to add some more money on the card.

The atmosphere is coffee-centric as you sit facing the counter. The aroma of fresh coffee permeates the area. I believe they have an outside patio where you can enjoy the fresh air as you drink your coffee.
Parking is easy because of the large Vons parking lot, although it can be busy depending upon the time of day.

This is a great location for Starbucks.“

“It was three people waiting in line one guy was busy worrying about stocking coffee out on the center of the store while the other girl that was working there was doing all the work including the mobile orders and the people that walked up. He should have stopped and helped serve the people that were waiting in line or helped her. I was just kind of annoyed that he just walked by everybody took care of his stuff out there loading up the front of the store instead of helping getting those three customers served. If I was a manager there I'll be writing that person up for not helping getting the customer served rather than stocking the shelf.“

“This is the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to — hands down!

“The staff is kind and professional. Had someone in line at register holding up everyone in line as she was complaining about the V on the menu and that the staff didn’t know vegan from vegetarian, cause they couldn’t read and needed to eat some meat to not be so hangry. Still the two ladies (Shellsea and Vanessa) stayed cool under pressure. Working here with so many types of personalities must be hard to stay professional. Good job ladies! I would come back when in the area!“

“I like to come here every Friday morning as my end of the work week treat. I have my usual drinks that I order (Pumpkin Spice Latte during fall and Matcha Green Tea Latte) but every now and then I like to try other things. So far, every drink I've ordered is great! The morning staff, Yoseph and Jerry, are friendly, quick and consistent.“

“One of the busiest Starbucks I’ve ever been too, but still one of the most amazing. The community of local Pasadena peeps do a great job supporting these over worked and probably under paid baristas. Every time I’m here, they are working diligently, even understaffed and still have the time to remember my name.I do recommend them but then they’ll be even busier. Just admire them from a far while I enjoy my brown sugar shaken espresso.“

“Got the caramel ribbon crunch frap. I asked what the crunch is. They said caramel. I say pretty much, but better! More like after dinner Mexican cookies which are brown sugar and butter melted to just barely caramel but still with sugar crumble texture. So, a hint of butter that is nice.“

“I didn’t get any food from this particular Starbucks, but I did order a drink called the Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte, made without ice and a large iced water. The drink was amazing, put together with perfection. The service was just as great: quick, friendly, and efficient. There was a line when I arrived, but since I had placed my order through the app, my drink was ready within minutes. The staff were super friendly too. The ambience was what you’d expect from Starbucks: inviting and well-decorated. This isn’t my usual location, but I had taken my kids to a nearby park on my day off and decided to stop in for a pick-me-up, since I was starting to feel tired. It’s in the shopping center with Vallarta and the Chase Bank on Fairoaks and North Orange Grove in Pasadena. All in all, I’d definitely stop by this Starbucks again whether just for myself or with friends or family. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a drink.“

“I love the service at Starbucks. Customer service is great. This is my go-to specialty coffee shop. They even make a tea for times when you may feel sick. Flu bomb.Hot Caramel macchiato whip upside down. Warmed pumpkin loaf.

“This Starbucks is right by the Pasadena Convention Center and has a bit of a hidden bonus — there’s a large hall next door where you can also sit and drink your coffee, so seating feels almost unlimited. Definitely a plus if you’re visiting during an event.

The coffee was good, and we went with oat milk, since we were told Starbucks soy milk comes with sugar and vanilla by default. Staff seemed a bit over it when we came through — maybe they weren’t expecting a rush — but we got what we needed.

Convenient spot if you’re at the convention centre or nearby attractions.“

“Today, I just wanted a water, being it was hot and intolerable weather outside. Also, it was for my little man needing water for his meds. I had forgotten to purchase water, and decided to go get water from Star$$ last minute.

Anyhow, I was in a rush. The barista, he was tired but helped me out. I couldn't make out his name tag (Jackson?), but I am giving props to him. He gave me a 26 oz cup of ice (filled to the top as I had requested) and water. He did this as quick as he could and was polite. Normally, we just get a tiny cup, but today, I am blessed that Jackson can read my mind in this extremely hot weather to give me a nice cold cup of water. Many many thanks.
