“I have ordered food from Hunan Village more times than I care to admit, but the food is consistently great. From their dim sum entrees to main dishes, there is nothing on the menu that will disappoint. My family especially likes Mr. Ma who delivers for them. Mr. Ma is an extremely nice man and a hard worker.“
“This is a modest store-front restaurant in a shopping center that doesn't look like much, but the food is fantastic. I had the Green Bean Chicken and the beans were al-dente, the meat perfectly grilled, and the sauce was savory and garlicky- really, really good. My husband had the combo Chicken Katsu and bbq chicken plate, and the katsu was perfect and crunchy. The servings are generous and we have enough leftovers for another meal. Service is friendly. You may have to wait to get your meal, but the wait is worth it.“
“I feel bad that after all these years of loyal patronage, I haven’t reviewed this place yet! My husband and I have been enjoying this family run restaurant for the last 14 years. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant you will go to in Sonoma County. It is authentic, always consistently delicious, and super clean and fresh. Everything is homemade and you can tell as soon as you put it in your mouth. We normally stick to the same stuff every time, but anytime we do stray, we always fall in love. I believe it’s only family members who work there and they are quiet, sweet, and always remember you. I am so thankful that they made it through Covid without an issue…They have a huge “takeout“ following. Once you try it, no other place will compare! Except if you visit China, lol.“
“Kung Pao chicken best anywhere. Lunch specials are out of this world with huge amount of food. And dinner is quite nice, a large dinner assortment to chose from and to to eat here, the wor wonton soup has so many things in it. Vast menu.Very nice family runs place.Kid-friendliness: Laid back place kids can run wild if they want.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking very close to resturant, no stairs.“
“Ate here on a road trip north from SF. The princess chicken was divine. The batter was perfectly fried, the garlic and honey sauce was just the right balance of sweet and savory. My wife loved her prawns in lobster sauce. Strongly considering stopping in when we drive back south to SF, it's that good.“
“Went with my family for the first time for my birthday and we had a great time!We got there just before 6pm and it was empty but by the time we left the restaurant was almost full so you may want to consider a reservation on weekends. We ordered way too much because we expected the portions to be smaller and were pleasantly surprised! Apps we got the green onion pancakes, pork potstickers, and bbq pork buns. The pancakes were a thick, fluffy pastry dough that was super crispy on the outside. I loved these! The potstickers were HUGE. You could easily make a light meal out of an order. For our mains we got spicy basil chicken, Manchurian beef, general's chicken, bbq pork fried rice, and spicy and hot string beans. I didn't find anything particularly spicy or notice any numbing spice from Szechuan peppercorns (granted I am getting over a cold lol). That said we loved our meal! For 4 people we ordered WAY too much but happily took it home. Overall we all loved the string beans (has a delicious garlicky sauce), Manchurian beef (fried and has a sweeter sauce), and general's chicken (fried with a savory/salty sauce). We loved that the rice had slices of bbq pork instead of small chopped pieces. I loved the basil chicken, but my family found it a bit too saucy. We also had a pot of hot tea for the table and drank probably 4 pots because it was a really nice jasmine tea, not bitter or overwhelmingly floral.Shoutout to Diana who checked on us throughout our meal, joked with us, and made us feel like we had been coming there for years. Honestly everyone we met was super nice.“
