“Cute shop, good coffee, delicious donuts. They are also open early, which always works for me. I still wake up at dawn even when I'm not surfing. The owner was also bright and friendly for 6am. I wish we had a shop like this back home!“
“Small cozy spot off the main strip. I came here because my kid spotted it. We decided to give it a shot. Upon entering, it felt small. However, there was seating outside. I got a small coffee and a biscuit and gravy w/ egg and hash brown bowl (forgot what it was called). My kid had a waffle with Nutella & banana. An overall, great experience. I didn't get to try the ice cream but definitely coming back for that.“
“My wife and I enjoy Pismo Beach and all its shops. We happened into Hotlix and were surprised at the wide variety of different kinds of candy and sweet treats. The prices were what you would expect from a tourist location. We checked out what they had that we could buy for some friends back home and decided on the milk chocolate covered pretzels with sprinkles. We weren't leaving for a few days, so we decided to come back and get them right before we left on our drive home to Orange County. The 4-stars is for the great selection of differently kinds of sweet treats. The lack of the 5th-star is because of the not very friendly staff. This is only referring to the young females working there. On the first day we were there, we spoke to an older woman, (possibly the owner or manager) and she was very friendly. She told us about how the stock is rotated and how items are made in-house. She was busy stocking shelves, but she still took the time to talk to us. We appreciated that. Unfortunately, the young females all seemed like they were not happy to be there and were merely going through the motions.“
“During our last visit to San Luis Obispo, we stayed in Pismo Beach and dropped by Steaming Bean for coffee and breakfast. It was busy but the service was excellent and although we had to wait for a short while for the food, it was also excellent. I loved the back patio and we sat out there for a while enjoying the morning. A highlight for me was seeing a Sunbeam Tiger pull into the parking lot below but the girls weren’t as impressed. “I come here for coffee whenever I'm in Pismo. It's right next to the parking lot by the pier and is super convenient. This place does milk art on their lattes which is a step above the rest. “The Boba here is AMAZING! I was in town for my wedding and found this place online and had to try it! My sister and I LOVED the Banana Milk Brûlée! Wish there was more seating as it would have been nice to sit and enjoy our drinks more. Will be back!!“
“An excellent store. I know that many of you might say that Starbucks is Starbucks anywhere, but is not true… every Starbucks is a little different. This one definitely a great store with great service. If you happen to be in the area, pay them a visit while you visit the other stores around ?“
“It's always a good location to get a good coffee from a chain coffee shop. They have such a better variety and quality of Starbucks. The service is usually pretty spot on at this location too. Just try to order ahead on the app to get yourself in and out a bit quicker. It also earns you free rewards like free coffee or tea. That's a win right there. Too bad this is the only location in SLO county though. Oh well, appreciate the one location that we have.“
