I had the turkey and avocado club sandwich.
Wow be prepared for a huge, meaty sandwich!
The bread was homemade, toasted and very good! It was the size of sourdough bread! OMG!
Be prepared to eat a sandwich that doesn't skimp on the meat! Lots of fresh borehead meat with cheddar cheese melted onto the toast. I had purple onions, lettuce and tomato and could barely take a bite it was SO THICK! And don't forget the fresh avocado which was like a THICK spread!
It was really a great sandwich.
My son had tuna, lettuce and tomato on the same bread.
My husband had a 3 meat sandwich that was also huge!
I highly recommend the Dune Side Deli to anyone who wants eat a REAL sandwich.
Thankfully it is super close! And thank YOU Dune Side for opening this wonderful little sandwich shop in Oceano.
It is conveniently located right next to Central Market so there is plenty of off-street parking.
So refreshing to eat good fresh food that is healthy too!

“This is the best kept secret in SLO! The deli is amazing!!!! They have unbelievably delicious and HUGE sandwiches, the best fried zucchini, amazing breakfast sandwiches and burritos…and that’s all I’ve tried so far, but I look forward tot trying more items. The prices are great for how much food you receive. And the staff is very friendly! There is some seating inside as well as a back patio. The market is also well stocked. You wouldn’t know this place exists unless you know…it’s inside of the store at the gas station, and it has become one of my favorite delis in SLO (against tough competition!). I love it.“

A great spot to be able to stop at, Get a quick, delicious reasonably priced, custom made for you meal to eat while you enjoy sitting down and resting your feet and having a little bit of comfortable, relaxing and quiet time to yourself. The plus is that this subway shares a parking lot with 3 or 4 other shops. There is almost always 1 or 2 free and open parking spots available. If you park there to go to Subway. Then once you have finished dining at Subway. Just inform the Subway counter person that you want to leave your car parked in their parking lot for a while as you do some downtown shopping/exploring. They will allow you to keep your car parked there for an hour or so if you simply notify them.
★ TIP: Communication and a Genuine, positive and respectful attitude will definitely get you a long way with most Pismo Beach Locals...

“All Subways are around the same it depends on which subway you go to and what person you get unfortunately this was not a good experience for me at the subway only because the lady that was making my sandwich was arguing with me about bell peppers that I seen and it happens with vegetables sometimes you'll get a little soggy one in there and all I eat is vegetables I don't eat meat so when I go to Subway I love the freshness of their vegetables she was arguing with me about it being yellow I also was a prep Chef for 5 years and know when a bell pepper is soggy she threw the bell pepper away picked up another one and said see it's yellow because I said that I did not want that on my sandwich and told her to take it off and I was very polite about it and said I know I'm picky with my sandwich and blah blah blah I'm sorry but I don't want a soggy bell pepper and instead of arguing with me she could have just said okay and got the other side where it was perfectly fine but instead wanted to prove her point which you should never do if you're in customer service as a customer should be always right the only instance where the customer is not right is when they're calling you names and being a Karen which I absolutely was not doing so fortunately for me there are three other Subways I can choose from I will not be back at this one“
