“What a hidden gem we have found in Walnut Creek. This quaint coffee shop cranks out brilliant lattes and pastries and is now the perfect lazy Sunday hang out spot for us. Our pup loved watching all the people & their dogs walk by. The place looks like a tiny castle and they have implemented a great system to order and pick up at different spots so that it doesn't get too crowded in one place. Parking is also easy as it's right across from parking lot which is free for 90 mins.“

The peanut sauce was just as they describe it on their menu . . . I'll butcher it but something like, "really good peanut sauce." And indeed it was. “Visited December 24, 2023This coffee shop has a unique interior and is visited by many people. After lunch, I wanted to have coffee for dessert, so I looked for it in downtown Walnut Creek. It's so popular that you have to wait in line to order. There are about 2 employees making coffee, so you may have to wait a bit. It was a shame that we couldn't enjoy the inside because the tables were full. I ordered a latte, and it had swan art on it, so it was fun to see and the latte was delicious.“

“This place is hidden in the cuts but worth the drive for some good barbecue. From the freeway exit N/B 680 it's only one turn right turn a maybe a 2 minute drive. From S/B 680 it may be 5 minutes more if that. It's kind of hidden but there is a big sign you can't miss if you're looking. They have a small parking lot and take orders through the screen door. There is outside seating and tables if you choose to eat there. I placed my order after looking over the menu outside and my food was ready really quick. The 2 way combo was $25 which was understandable and reasonable for the portion sizes and inflation. My only gripe may be on what they consider potato salad which was more like a loaded baked potato. The flavor of the chicken and ribs were delicious. The ribs were tender and neither were burned or over cooked. I also like that they put the barbecue sauce in containers for you to add to your food as you like. The Mac and cheese was pretty good too but could have used a bit more seasoning to it. “I cannot express how much I love a dedicated gluten free facility. It makes it so easy for my celiac husband to find tasty treats and drinks. The desserts, particularly the cookies and cupcakes are so good you would never know the difference between non-gluten free items (I say this as someone who eats non gluten free items all the time). We love the desserts so much we ordered our wedding cake from here and it turned out beautifully! We could not recommend this place enough. It's a little pricey but that's to be expected with the pricer ingredients and in being in an expensive area.“

“Solid place for a bite near Pleasant Hill BART station. I visited earlier this afternoon just before they closed at 3. Today was one of those back-to-back meeting days, and I had to work through lunch, so I was very hungry. I needed a bite before meeting colleagues for drinks and appetizers later in the afternoon. I ordered the Asian Chicken Salad ($10). Service was friendly and prompt - I appreciate that they pulled out a fresh salad bag for me even though it was just minutes before they closed. “We drive 25 min for this Philz to get a cup of coffee, eat a green chili burrito with hot sauce, then walk around downtown. The staff is always amazing and their coffee is on point. A bold, rich flavor every time. My fave is the Philtered Soul cold brew with oat milk. My husband gets the Aromatic Arabic with a splash of cream.Parking: There is a paid lot right behind Philz. We normally park on the metered main street, but can drive a little further for unmetered street parking as well. We never have to park more than a block away on the weekend.“

It was also pipping hot when I held it and bit into it so you know it's fresh. Not oily either. Will be coming here for lunch now when I'm in a pinch.“
“For my money, the best Banh Mi in Walnut Creek! The sandwiches are large, filling, and tightly packed with vegetables and (if you're vegetarian, like me) tofu. They're just the right spice level, the bread is pleasantly crunchy and chewy, and - just as you'd hope - are served up with quickly. The place is definitely tucked away - if it weren't for the streetside sign, I would have walked past it - but the complex is full of places to sit and enjoy your meal. “We are visiting from Colorado and found this cute little spot on our way to see some Redwoods. Totally recommend for breakfast/brunch! I got Heavos con Chorizo and I couldn't even finish it they gave what looked like 3-4 eggs and an entire can of black beans as the side. Not only was it a good amount of food but it was also delicious. My partner got the two egg breakfast and also felt like it was a good serving size. Bacon was thick and yummy. “The All Berry Croissant is delightful! I enjoy the food, service and ambiance. This store is like a cozy place to curl up to in the rain or just meet with friends to catch up. It never disappoints. While in line I heard someone ask if the drinks were sweet and they kindly said “not St4rbux sweet” which is a green flag for sure to anyone who really knows coffee. They also offered that customer to make their drink less sweet if they were worried. I had my go-to iced americano to see how good their espresso shots taste since I was sure they were doing something right with so many other good reviews and my experience up to that point. The good vibes were there before I even ordered and that coffee hit too! The Avocado toast is on the fluffiest freshest bread with some sprinkled hemp seeds and chili flakes.
