“I am so grateful that we finally have a late night chai/street food spot in east bay. Chai & co located at 2115 Pacheco st, Concord is a wonderful addition! We had the anda-shami royale, samosa chaat, and fresh naan khatai from khalifa (if you know, you know). All items were excellent and authentic! The space is well decorated with board games available and most importantly clean! We can’t wait to go back and work our way through the menu!“

“I placed a mobile order for pickup and completely messed up my own order by accident. It was just one of those days. I accidentally ordered one coffee with two flavors instead of two separate coffees with one flavor each. I was honestly embarrassed when I realized what I had done, but the barista was so kind and gracious about fixing it. They were clearly SO BUSY but she didn’t make me feel bad or make a fuss about it at all. “I have now been to this location at least 5 times. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere cheerful, with enough seating both inside and out. I like that they have self-serve water. I keep wanting to try something new -- they have lots of options -- but every time I order the avocado smash toast, I am always so satisfied and delighted that I can't bring myself to order something else! The avocado is ALWAYS fresh and never past its prime. That must be hard to do. I appreciate their quality assurance. (I can recall from other restaurants or sandwich shops the disappointment of paying extra for avocado but getting fruit that has that weird/bad taste of old avocados.) The smash has these scrumptious little marinated cherry tomatoes and microgreens and the tiniest hint of heat from a little chili oil. Yum. A feast the the eyes, too. Toastique in Danville is a great place to have a leisurely breakfast with a friend or a post-workout snack. I also want to given a shout out to the owner who was working on June 2 for the Danville Restaurant Walk. Thank you for being so friendly and generous!“

“Wow. This place is a hidden gem. I only stopped by because I was picking up something at the mall. However from now on, I will make a stop at the mall just for Mazeh. Eating out these days is such a gamble since most of the timr, you spend so much for average or subpar food.

I am Iranian and certain things were nostalgic for me, the persian-style pizza, the shir pesteh (milk, banana and pistachio milkshake), the watermelon juice with rose water... I figured they'd be a familiar flavor and that's WHY they would be good. Not at all!
The food is actually quality, the watermelon juice was better than any Ive ever had, the milkshake was decadent and the pizza was better than my memory served.
The plating was appetizing and beautiful too. This is a must-try for all and a great place to return for good food. I would've taken a picture but I couldnt wait to eat!“

“I started going to Rrags in 2002 when my daughter started working there as a barrista. she received excellent training, earned enough to buy her laptop and most of her first car. the owners, and staff are very pleasant and welcome regulars and new customers with a smile.“

“Cozy, family owned cafe, that I cannot recommend enough if you’re in town or passing through Lafayette. You will not find any place with better freshly baked scones on this side of the tunnel. They are baked every morning, and if you come in early enough, they might still be warm. Each batch comes out with the most perfect fluffy interior, with a crisp exterior crust. No hockey pucks here! The photo doesn’t do it justice because I couldn’t hold back eating it before posting. The chai tea is a house made blend, with all organic ingredients. Try it as a latte with a shot of espresso. It’s so much better than the chai syrup concentrated drink you get at Starbucks, and you can adjust the sweetness to your liking. This is the best place to stop by before walking the reservoir, before/after your trader joe’s run, or to sit down and catch up with a friend over coffee or boba tea(also incredibly fresh and chewy boba). Not to mention, it’s a great study spot you can sit and study at all day. They now offer breakfast burritos and sandwiches, which makes this place even better than all the competing chain coffee shops in the area. The owner, Apple, is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet, and so kind and welcoming.“

As a person on the carnivore diet, I find it refreshing I can order an all protein meal and be completely satiated without paying an arm and a leg. “I was told by a neighbor who had been told by a friend that the breakfast burritos are good here. I can confirm they definitely hit the spot when you crave a decent BB. I would have given a 5 star rating but the BB was a little on the small size and might have been better with some hash browns inside. The town of Orinda always gives me this feeling of leisure and grabbing a bite at Cafe Teatro helps to calm my mind. But the Dutch Crunch is not good. It looks great but it is extremely sweet and too soft, to the extent that is not bread anymore. Taste like dessert to me. too soft for a bread (tears easily), too sweet for a bread and lacks the signature crunch you expect.“
