“This is my favorite food truck in Amador County and is actually my favorite place to eat as well. Consistency is key and the flavor is fantastic. We have eaten here at least 100 times over the past 8 or so years. The canned sodas are always ice cold and the salsa is spicy. We are always severed limes or lemon, typically grilled onion slices, and a grilled jalapeño. Picked jalapeños are also offered with both red and green salsa. The owner is friendly and attentive. Don't miss out on this spot. The only disappointment is when someone talks me into eating at a different truck.“
“Passed by this area on our way back from Kirkwood. The service was good, and they supply ample amount of chips to fill us up. The taste was not great, but not bad either. Bathroom was clean when we visited, which is a big plus if you are going back down to Bay Area after one long day of skiing.“
“Stopped in for lunch. Had a super burrito and a large hortchata. They give you salsa and some refried beans for you chips. The beans are less common but it was good. Good flavor on the burrito. Good size. I took half of it home. The first half was filling. Not to expensive. Great place to eat. If you go there you won't regret it.“
“We were so impressed with the flavor of our burritos! It was cold when we stopped so we took our food to go but the atmosphere looked really cute if it was warmer out. The flavor was so good we wished we had gotten another one to save for later! Will definitely be back! Great place to stop and very quick too! Nice work!Kid-friendliness: Looked like a fun spot for kids“
“Difficult to rate as it's not a 'restaurant', but as a food stand it's pretty good.My $10 chicken super burrito was good and more than I could eat. Not overly flavorful, but enjoyable nonetheless. The 'atmosphere' is a little outdoor park-like area with picnic tables. On the day of my visit, it was clean and tidy and the weather was perfect.I will be back.“
“Just tried this place for the first time based on a recommendation from the biggest little kitchen store owners. Taiya whose mom makes the salsa was our waitress and was so friendly and kindly helped with drink and menu choices. Everyone (4 of us) raved about the birria tacos, burrito, and my fish tacos were the best we have had. We ordered the street Mexican corn as an appetizer and were so surprised as it was grilled and served perfectly and so fresh! Sean the owner who also is the bar tender served Beers that were cold and mixed drinks did not skimp on alcohol. The Mexican Moscow mule definitely did not disappoint.“
“Great food, so if you're ever in Ione go by and eat the great tasting food. If you order nachos get the salsa and cheese sauce on the side if you don't eat it right away because it makes the chips very soggy.Parking: The truck is at the Shell gas station and there is limited parking, but it is worth it.“
“The food was great. It has been difficult finding a good Mexican restaurant in the western Amador area. Who would have thought Ione would be the place. The staff were great. Very friendly, quick to attend the table throughout the visit. Our ONLY complaint was the "house" margarita was very sugary and tasted like just mix. We plan on trying a higher quality "top shelf" style version next time to see if there's a difference.“
“You might pass by this place as you are heading into town from the West. The building is slightly tucked away and looks very much like it could be a house or service building. Inside is old-school western style with a good bar. After all of that said, the food is really, really good. The salsa was just hot enough for both my wife and me. We were both pleasantly surprised. The serving sizes were good and the delivery was quick and attentive.“
