“Have always driven past here and finally stopped by. I always avoided it because I thought it was exclusively outdoor eating only to find out there’s a whole seating area indoors. I had the pastrami dip and it was fantastic. My niece had the tuna melt and my girlfriend the grilled chicken. We all left very satisfied. My niece and I also shared an egg salad sandwich which was fantastic and the Cole slaw was good too.“
“This is a favourite place to eat, the sandwiches are fresh and very good. I recommend it... Is what I would have said when I went with my friend a couple weeks ago but going in by myself and taking it to go it was not the same club sandwich that I had inside. Still delicious and filling but it wasn't 'stacks' of meat like it was before, More like bits and pieces. I'll go back ?“
“This the best Subway around! The food and service is always superb! The team is so friendly and always goes out of their way to make it a great experience. We especially get great service from Elle and Ryan when we come in the evenings, but the whole team is great.“
“I absolutely love the sandwiches from here! I love the basic deli sandwiches and my husband loves the Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. The veggies are always fresh and love the juice but I get on the side otherwise the bread can get soggy. Their rosemary bread is so delicious and I'm not a huge rosemary fan but for whatever reason the bread just has a special place in my mouth. I always order online so I don't have to wait for my food and it's always ready on time.“
“I used to love Corner Bakery but I think the pandemic maybe forced them to change their menu in ways that streamlined their operations but compromised quality.I like their pastries for sure (didn't get one today because all they had were croissants and bagels, nothing sweet). I used to get the DC Chicken salad but that's long gone.I ordered the harvest salad but was disappointed as it seemed like all the ingredients were more pre-portioned and then slapped into the bowl. The chicken was like the kind you get on a 7-eleven premade salad. The cup of potato soup was $6.49 and had zero flavor and was like milky water. The employees were polite but rushed as they seemed a little short handed. I could see a shift leader or manager conducting interviews at the table across the way from me, so at least they are trying. I know staffing is tough these days.I miss the version of Corner Bakery I experienced before the pandemic. I guess that's just how it goes.“
“Pastrami shop means some of the following preconceived expectations: Greasy sandwiches, diner atmosphere, and kind but blunt service. It's a traditional place that has made it's way into the modern fast food industry.I got a bbq sandwich from them. And their way of making it was unique, and enjoyable. For a fast food shop they were remarkably quick and they provided generous portions.Atmosphere wise, it was a busy night. Folks were rushing around to keep up, and they had ample staffing present. Folks were kind all around, even while rushing to make good time on everything.Customer base stayed out of each other's business. Didn't have any problems with anyone. Area wasn't bad either. Felt good to be there.“
