“Tried Sweet Rice at the Tokyo Central complex in Gardena and was pleasantly surprised as a vegetarian. While the menu doesn’t clearly list vegetarian options, I called ahead and they confirmed they can make yellow, red, and green curries vegetarian with no fish sauce. I ordered the yellow curry with potato and onion, and it was flavorful, comforting, and not too heavy. Chili oil on top added a nice kick. Others at the table enjoyed the curry noodle soup and wonton soup. Despite being Michelin Guide–listed, this is a very casual spot—order at the counter, relaxed seating, no formal dining—which makes it easy and approachable. Parking right out front is a plus. Food is good value for money! Bowl Thai grill is next door (same owners) so you can sit there if the restaurant is full.“

“Pretty good restaurant with authentic flavors. Prices are a little on the higher side, but the dishes are interesting, like the special lobster pad Thai and soft shell crab pad Thai. “I've been eating here since I was around 12 years old. Raised in Torrance, this was my go-to-place for a dinner that just hits the spot. I love all the soup, noodle, and rice dishes, I think I've tried every chicken and vegetarian dish this place has to offer. I don't live in Torrance anymore, but whenever I come back to visit family I never fail to stop by here to eat, still tastes sooo good! What's also nice is the owner still recognizes me :) Overall great service and food!“

“Now we don't have to go to Thai Town to get tam khanun (underripe jackfruit dip/salad) and other northern Thai specialties! Easy ordering from their website online, easy pick up. Just watch out how spicy it is, it's spicy for Thai people. The lunch combos are a great deal. The fried shallot turmeric rice was so fragrant! I'm not used to getting sticky rice that tasty just by itself.“

“Lovely service from the waitress. She was very sweet and hospitable. This location is ideal for 2 people. There’s only one large table in the center of the restaurant. We ordered the fried rice and added chicken. We also got the pad see ew and added beef. Both dishes were flavorful and delicious. The only disappointment were the crab ragoons. I’m used to a thicker cream cheese taste with the bits of crab and these had more of a liquid-ish cheese with bell peppers. In all fairness, I personally do not like bell peppers. The ragoons do not deter me from returning. I would definitely come back.“

“I think this is the only Thai place I can bring my parents to. No major complaints from them, which is a damn near impossible feat. Will need to come back to try the specialty dishes. None of the food was too sweet, salty, or greasy. Lovely atmosphere for a dinner. Plenty of parking.

Unfortunately, I bit into eggshells in the Pad See Ew, which made the experience unpleasant. I hope the cook can be more careful when preparing the dish. Overall, still a good meal.“

“Very good Pad See Eww Chicken and Chow Mein Chicken here! And also their Thai Iced Coffee and Thai Tea are also equally good here. I always place an order online for pick up and its always ready by the time I pick up. If you're craving Thai food and are near here I definitely would say to check it out.“

“Delicious, top notch flavor! This is probably the best Thai food I've ever had. My partner and I are slowly working our way through the menu and so far we've had: Pad Kee Mao, Tom Kha chicken soup, Tom Yum chicken soup, Kaprao, Green Curry with chicken, and the mango sticky rice.

I think my favorite has been the Tom Kha soup. The coconut and lime base is such an addictive flavor profile and I was thinking about it for days afterwards.

Please insist on getting a fried egg on top of your Crab Fried Rice since a young lady was in the process of marking it off on the Menu. I brought it to her attention and she was not happy about it. “This used to be the Korean Honey Chicken restaurant.

Kind sweet lady, owner? who took my to go order before they closed on a rainy Tues night. Very good Pad Krapow , ordered Medium which is plenty spicy! Perhaps a little more green beans..seem scanty but decent amount of pork protein which was tender and flavorful..will try with chicken next time. Good value as it came with lovely jasmine rice..prob order extra rice if too spicy.

Also the Tom Yum soup excellent flavor. Had ordered solo portion..ample and filling.

Only drag was the Wings Appetizers..had thought there might be Thai dousing with a spicy kick, but they were just fried up regular wings with drumettes..dipping sauce was good though...think since I ordered so late, the chef was tired...prob order Thai egg rolls next time. Maybe offer fried fish cakes?

“The Garden Thai restaurant has the best Thai food in the MB area! The curry is spicy and flavorful without being too hot to enjoy. The noodles are amazing! Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but the food is always fresh and delicious!“

“Since I'm a very picky Japanese food eater, I tend to avoid anything that might be Japanese where it's not 100% Japanese. That said, I do enjoy the Thai food here. It's decent and filling. The staff are polite and I like it because it's in walking distance for me.

I have tried some Japanese-ish food like the lobster rolls or teriyaki chicken. Those dishes weren't bad if you consider them more California Asian cuisine. The prices are what you might expect these days for a spot like this. They do have lunch time specials so I think those are worth making the trip if you're in the area and want some decent Thai etc or something different.“

The storefront has a couple comfortable spaces to sit & enjoy their food. The waiter was very kind & checked up on us to make sure we were enjoying the food. We ordered the chicken poppers as an appetizer, dark meat hainan chicken over garlic rice, and the crispy chicken over garlic rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The hainan chicken also came with 2 sauces to dip the chicken in - a hainan sauce which was sour, slightly sweet, and slightly salty. The other sauce was a smoky spicy sauce which was amazing. Both entrées came with a clear chicken soup which was also very enjoyable. Service was very quick, efficient, and caring. “I enjoy coming to Hiccups for lunch and even dinner at times. Me and my family (3) visited this Sunday, March 15. The garlic pasta noodles is one of my favorites and the chamoy mango slushy. The friendliness of the staff could be more vibrant but the overall experience was still good.

Our food came out in a decent manner, and it was hot and fresh. I ordered (10 pc) Cajun wings, garlic noodles, pineapple shrimp fried rice (for myself), beef pad Thai & chamoy mango slushy (for my man), and chicken bites & fries and a sprite (for my son). I also placed a separate order to go for (my mother), chicken bites with fried rice.

I was a little disappointed they changed some things on the menu but still my favorite place to get a chamoy mango slushy. We had so much food leftover we had dinner for later.“
