I recently visited Hawaii’ and came back on a hunt for good poke in LA. While we are lucky in LA to have amazing food options , gooooood poke was somewhat of a challenge.
But then the gods blessed me with a recommendation of Jus’ Poke. Must be the good karma coming back to me because it’s INCREDIBLE.
I brought my mom and grandma , who is an immigrant from a Slavic country and very hard to impress with food and she loved this place.
Love the people working there as well. The guys are always welcoming and kind.
Pro tip for extra whimsy : grab a bowl and head to the beach for a sunset dinner. ✨“

Five stars are not enough to describe how satisfied I am with the service, but especially with the flavor of the pizzas and the calzone made by Chef Marcos and his wife Fernanda. I’m a true pizza lover, and I honestly don’t mind driving an hour from San Fernando Valley just to enjoy their food. You can feel the love and care in every detail, from the packaging to their communication on social media. It’s clear how much they love what they do and how much they care about their customers. It’s really a privilege to taste their pizza. I’m eating mine right now, taking small bites because I don’t want it to end. Honestly, there’s no better pizza in Los Angeles. “Excellent, authentic, VERY Japanese sushi. No firecracker shrimp rolls. If you want that kinda thing, go back to Hermosa.“

“Went to Yamashiro for the first time today! I have to say this is probably one of the best sushi places I have ever been to. The fried oysters were delicious! We ordered three different rolls and all of them were just beautiful from a presentation and artistry perspective, but tasting them was even better! The volcano roll was served on grapefruit slices, which made them very colorful and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The Yamashara roll was not only beautiful but it's the first time I have ever had mango with my sushi rolls and it actually added a really nice dimension of tropical fruit to already super fresh tasting tuna and avocado. The crispy roll had fried onions that were somehow not greasy, which was surprising. I'm wondering if they were air fried? But really great addition to texture for the rolls. We also had the yellowtail collar, which was cooked flawlessly. Oftentimes, yellowtail collar can you overcooked so part of it can be fairly dry. This caller was moist all the way around, perfect pockets of fish fat, and a very light unami salty flavor. The last thing we had, which I think was very fortunate because they don't always have it, was the Japanese tuna Ono which was cooked in a wonderful miso sauce.

I know I keep going on about this spot, but these rules were truly unique and I eat a lot of sushi, lol! Did I mention that we had a wonderful server, which I didn't get her name, but she's a Japanese woman that may have been the owner. I'm not sure, but her spirit was so respectful and refreshing and we loved her kindness and attentiveness. Really great service! I can't wait to go here again next time I visit the Redondo Beach area!!!“

“We recently catered a birthday party w/Casa Playa. It was pretty short notice, 3 days, but they really made our party perfect! I called and Alathena helped walk me through the menu to choose just the right amount of food. They provided the buffet racks and the sterno (saved me a couple of trips looking for them). Everything was delivered exactly on time and hot! They even provided signs to make choosing easier. The food was DE-Licious!! Crispy tacos were awesome as were the enchiladas. “It has really warm and comforting things to enjoy inside The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach where I visited with someone. The place feels really lively and welcoming there in a way that teenagers would enjoy a lot. The pancakes and other foods that I ordered, like the fluffy stacks that looked almost cartoonish, didn’t cost anything extra beyond the menu price at all. By my surprise, the food looked completely picture‑perfect and fun even though it was just breakfast, which makes it perfect for teenagers who love taking photos of their meals. It is a new restaurant to me but I didn’t realize how much there was to enjoy there until I sat down inside. I really appreciated how easy it was to have fun eating there without feeling rushed. I never doubted that the experience was going to turn out the way I hoped it would. I only visited The Original Pancake House in Redondo Beach one time in my life before I made this review. It was one of the most enjoyable and comforting breakfast places I’ve been to in a long time, and I would highly recommend that even teenagers go there because it gives them a place to enjoy good food, take pictures, and feel relaxed. I saw a lot of other teenagers there during my visit, and it made the whole place feel even more teen‑friendly and inviting.“

We tried the Panang Curry with Tofu and it was excellent. The Garlic Pepper with Tofu is addictive. Highly recommend dining in, or ordering it to take out! My favorite Thai place in Redondo Beach.“
