“It's a good old fashioned pub. Nothing fancy, just a nice comfortable place to have a drink and make a friend. There is a large outside area where you can smoke and have a drink, which is hard to find. It's my go to place after a hard days work. The service is the best !!“

Bucky's also has an back patio that's great if you want to enjoy your drink with some fresh air. If you are looking for a low key atmosphere and a good time, Bucky's could be the right spot for you.“
“I remember the Pioneer Saloon from when I lived in the Bay Area and worked in Silicon Valley. I came there with friends over a few decades and enjoyed the live music. And, way back in 1975, my brother, Tom Martin, was a first live music performer at the Pioneer Saloon. Tom is still a singer songwriter performer.“

“This has been my go to bar in San Carlos for a long time. Good drinks for a fair price pool and shuffle board. I wish I had bought this place years ago as it's a good reminder of what San Carlos was back in the day. Locals who like to talk about anything related to the town, real estate or technology. Friday and Saturday night becomes rookie night with people who don't know how to order drinks and pay, bar etiquette is a lost art as some of these reviews show. Dive bars are like someone's home, learn to peacefully co exist and follow the rules, do that simple task and you should have a good time. I was there last week, ordered a bunch of drinks from the bar, told the ignorant patron to bear with me and keep the space open so I could remove my drinks, but clueless Tecchie guy moved right in where my drinks were, I had to physically move the rookie, so I could get my drinks to my friends then he could chat with his co worker as much as possible. Painful. Bartender's and drinks were great!!! If I could get a job here I would jump at it.“
“This bar has turned from more of just to hang out to. It's my family. These people are so kind and nice and I love everyone except for Chang. Pauli read Sarah Amber all of them are awesome all the regulars I know they give you the shirt off their back no questions asked. So it is more than just a bar. It is the place that is just a complete hidden gem and I worked down the street for years and I was always scared of the place because I thought what kind of Degens go here and then I start going there and I found kind of a second family if you will. Everyone is so kind everyone will do what ever you need your own short on money during short on money everyone buys each other drinks. There's always hugs and yell, cheap kisses and everything else I mean it it is a legit family, so I can't say enough good things about this place people that bow shit are idiots or just don't get the way a dive bar as sidebar for god sake's. But it is one of the best ones I have ever experienced in my life and I have shunned off every single other one because this is where I belong, these are people I need to be around. so come join it come support the business because if people don't support the business, it's gonna go away before we know it and there's certain people that work there that are not the best humans and are going to cost the business to Freemans go out of business I mean that's all there is to it so just come out. Enjoy it hang out the back patio. They just replace the whole awning out there today.
