“I recently order to go there,and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu offered a delightful variety of authentic Chinese dishes, making it hard to choose.
I opted for the spicy Chicken and fish.both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice, while the fish were tender and delicious.
The service was impeccable; our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, enhancing the overall dining experience.

“One of several new malatang places in the area, Bruin Bowl is not a large place, but they seem to have a solid selection of meats, veggies, noodles, and seafood despite their modest size. Both the bone broth and the chicken/fish maw soup bases are pretty tasty too. Excellent option if you're in the area.“

“Needed to edit my online order but couldn’t after placing it, so called the restaurant and luckily was able to get some quick, easy assistance from David! He was able to substitute the item for me without issue. When I arrived, he confirmed my whole order for me and visually showed me that everything was there. Portions and quality were great. My favorite was the Mongolian beef. Would definitely come back, especially for a good lunch special!“

“My first time coming to Ping Pong and I really enjoyed my experience! The place is nestled in a busy shopping mall but inside it was very clean and well decorated. The food was great! “We walked up and weren't sure if the place was open, but luckily some other patrons walked up at the same time so we followed them in. So glad we did! This is one of those Chinese places that opened when Adam was a lad and hasn't changed its approach since. The carpet looked original (and therefore quite worn, but that is literally the only thing I would change if I bought the place. I'd pay the chef whatever they wanted to stay, keep the service staff, keep the decor, and above all else, keep the menu. Traditional Chinese-American restaurant menu (quite long but mostly just variations on the same dozen recipes, swapping out proteins), but extremely well executed. We are new residents of the Valley and we will be regulars here.“

“Great chinese restaurant, the noodles are very fresh and the meat tasty. The beef roll appetizer is a good size. Everyone liked the soup as well. My only wish would be a way to make the dish spicy without chili oil as it makes the dish even more oily.“

I got my order to go, barbecue pork fried rice and sweet and pungent shrimp.
The portion size on the barbecue pork fried rice is really good, really large. The rice was cooked perfect, the flavor is definitely there. I would get this dish again.
The sweet and pungent shrimp was okay I suppose. Way too much sugary sauce if you ask me. Also, they do use smaller size shrimp then some other places in the area. I do like the fact that they do include broccoli with the order. I believe the amount/quantity of Shrimp portion size is just a tad smaller than what I would have liked. I'm not sure if I would order this dish again though. Maybe the experience is a little bit better in person. Please keep in mind, this was a to-go order that I got.
Parking is plentiful, even though it's on Reseda and Ventura Boulevard basically. There is a free parking lot that you can park in. If you come for lunch during the week, it's definitely busy, so be prepared to park maybe a little bit further away than you'd like to.
Overall, for takeout, this place was pretty good. I have to try this place in person another time when I have more time. But all in all, I would definitely give it another try.“

“I used to come here years ago. I worked basically a few doors down at the Dispensary. I haven’t been around in years but I was over in the area and I stopped by. The stand out here is the Spicy Orange Chicken!!! It was perfectly fried and the jalapeños were the perfect complement. The noodles had a great chew to them and my two other sides had a lot of flavor. I went with teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken.
There are chili oils on the counter and sriracha to take to your table. This is one of the hole in the wall places that I love.“

“Saw this place on IG a while ago, but subconsciously just scrolled through the post not remembering the name. I just happened to stumble upon it while getting my car serviced, and realized it was the place when I saw they were serving people fat portions of food.

“This was our first time eating here and I have to say we were very Impressed. We were seated right away. Michael our waiter treated us so well. Explained everything on the menu and went over the new items on the menu as well. Everything was so good and Michael continuesly checked on us and always made sure our drinks were filled. He was so polite and nice. He even went out of his way to show is the 3 sauce platter since this was our first time. We have never had such a good waiter like him before. Michael deserves a raise for sure. He is absolutely AMAZING and we will be coming back!“

“$8 combo with decent sized portion--chow mein, fried rice and a meat! Can't beat that! No frills restaurants. They don't soak their rice in oil like many Chinese restaurants. Good orange chicken, also saw they have jalapeño chicken and fried banana.
Parking might be tough in this neighborhood but it's free.

Also, their egg rolls are TRUE egg rolls like you find back on the East Coast, not the whimpy pinky-sized spring rolls. “My only question is why do you only have a 4.3 this should be five stars all the way across the board, I would only imagine because too many people don’t recognize delicious authentic amazing Chinese food piping hot. I’ve been there several times dine in and dine out and I have been 100% satisfied.
I didn’t even have to wait that long however I would have waited a full half hour for this amazing delicious authentic Chinese food

“Chowking is one of the best Filipino small restaurants here in California. Their halo halo is one of my favorite especially summer time. Beef noodles and pork asado siopao is also really good. Employees are very nice and friendly and the parking is good too.“

I was here often around the end of 2019.
I remember they used to have good chicken wings. I haven't been here since then untill today, and I won't be here maybe for years atleast since I eat almost everywhere.
By the way... if you're on a budget, this place is a good place to eat. Their portion is generous and the foods are good. The Chinese lady who take your orders, scoop the foods, and charge you on the register has been very nice everytime I visit this place, doesn't matter how long she hasn't seen me, she's always kind.“

Their togo packaging is top tier. Insulated bags and followed the instructions I put in the notes.
Family is sick right now so no grocery shopping and no cooking. We rarely order Chinese because of togo quality sometimes but today we were craving.
Super glad we chose here. The food was delicious, it came hot and ready to eat, no reheating needed. The chicken dishes were really good and not just all breading. Flavor great and not too greasy. The bbq pork chow fun was better than expected. Full on pork slices so tender and not dry! And we shared the hot sour soup, but i ate most of it. It was so good!
When we feel better and are up for chinese again, definitely will try this place in person.“

“Ordered takeout and food was made fast. Service was quick and front of the house is friendly. The chow men is a bit thicker. Their chicken dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. Their darker sauce dishes are more flavorful than other Chinese restaurants nearby. The moo goo gai pan was good. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants here, they have saltier food, but that lends to a good flavor.“

“No dine in so I won’t review service and atmosphere. Crab Rangoon was good. Orange chicken was fairly good but some pieces had more orange flavor than others. Black pepper beef had lots of vegetables and would have preferred more beef, flavor was good but could have been more peppery. Xo sauce string beans didn’t have much flavor, but I tasted the sauce in the bottom of the container and it was good so maybe the beans need to marinate more. I’ll try it again tomorrow and see if it tastes better. So, all in all, I’d say the food is kind of average.“

Best thing so far about this spot though? They have Char Siu, it's one of my favorite dishes and I've been struggling to find it here.
