“Went on Father's Day and it was busy but our server Wesley was so fast and helpful. I got the midnight Gallup burbon cocktail and had a great time with my family. Great recommendations from Wesley and had a great experience because of him.“

“We’ve been to Dan Modern Chinese a few times now, and it’s been consistently great every single visit—which is why we keep coming back.
We usually go for the Dan Mein with short rib (still a favorite!), but this was our first time doing takeout and trying the Dan Mein with shrimp—and it did not disappoint. The noodles were still perfectly cooked, the shrimp were plump and flavorful, and everything held up really well even to-go.
We also ordered the Mapo Tofu with pork, which was just as good as we remembered—rich, silky, and packed with that signature spicy, numbing kick. And the spicy oxtail noodle soup was a standout again, with deep, bold flavors and incredibly tender meat.
We added some steamed dumplings and xiao long bao too, and they were a great addition—fresh, delicate, and full of flavor. Even as takeout, they held up nicely and rounded out the meal perfectly.
Overall, whether dining in or ordering out, Dan Modern Chinese continues to impress with its consistency, quality, and bold flavors. Already looking forward to our next visit!“

“Well, today, after Honey booked up my entire weekend, he turned around—the absolute nerve of this man—and basically flaked on me.
He flaked.
Tonight.
We were supposed to go to Santa Monica and have fish and chips. Instead, I am sitting at home alone. Apparently the Sizzler from last night made him sick.
Now, despite the explosive diarrhea and puking, you would think he could power through for me, wouldn't you???
Apparently not.
So now I'm stuck at home with my four hungry Mexican Midget Mafia members—the Chihuahua crew, my tiny criminal organization.
Since it's approximately one million degrees outside, I decided to go to Panda Express.
I wanted to try their new barbecue brisket.
Back in the day, one of my favorite things at Panda Express was their Chinese barbecue pork. Then, at some point in my twenties, Panda Express cruelly ripped it from the menu and left a hole in my heart that has never fully healed.
My order used to be simple: orange chicken, barbecue pork, and steamed rice.
These days it's mostly orange chicken. Lots of orange chicken.
So I pulled into Panda Express and ordered what can only be described as my usual compromise with adulthood: 90% steamed rice and 10% chow mein.
I got the barbecue brisket, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken.
The teriyaki chicken wasn't for me, that was for my pack.
My dogs hear a Panda Express bag crinkle from three rooms away and suddenly act like they work narcotics at LAX.
Panda Express is kind enough to chop the chicken into tiny pieces for them, and the second I walk through the door, my Chihuahua gang assembles for inspection.
So, verdict?
I'd rather have the barbecue pork back.
That's the verdict.
And even though Honey is today's villain, I've still talked to him for five hours today.
Five hours.
I don't know why he had to go and get himself sick tonight. We could have been in Santa Monica eating fish and chips instead of me sitting here ALONE eating Panda Express.
He's been dragging me to chain restaurants for weeks, and tonight was supposed to be my reward. He could have pushed through in an astronaut diaper if he really wanted to impress me.
Instead, I got barbecue brisket.
The food filled me up....but left me sad and soulless.“

“Redefining possibilities with Chinese American food to be more healthful while being delicious. The price point is amazing for being in Santa Monica with generous portions. When the menu says spicy, it’s spicy representative of Chef Bryant’s work at Cassia.“

“I had such a wonderful meal at this spot in Sherman Oaks. Everything arrived at the table looking beautiful, especially the way the spring rolls and other dishes were presented on top of those crispy rice noodles.
The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. The portion sizes were perfect for sharing, and I really enjoyed the combination of textures in every bite. I will definitely be back soon.“

““Had a great experience at Chowking. The food came out fresh, hot, and flavorful, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The restaurant was clean, service was quick, and everything was well organized even during busy hours. The Halo-Halo and siopao were especially good, and the portions were satisfying. Definitely a solid spot for comfort Filipino-Chinese food in the area. Looking forward to coming back again soon!”“

“I had such a wonderful meal here today. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served with a genuine smile.
The crispy noodles with shrimp were a highlight. It was such a nice touch to receive a plate of fresh orange slices at the end of the meal. I left feeling completely satisfied.
I will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu. This place is a real gem in Reseda.“

“Finding a restaurant that consistently delivers great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere is becoming increasingly rare, which is why my experience at Ping Pong Chinese Cuisine in Encino was such a pleasant surprise.
From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. Whether you're visiting for a family dinner, a casual lunch, or a special celebration, the environment strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined.
The food was absolutely exceptional. Every dish arrived beautifully presented, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. What stood out most was the attention to detail—each ingredient tasted carefully selected, and every recipe seemed crafted with both tradition and quality in mind. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, showcasing the depth and variety that make Chinese cuisine so beloved around the world.
One of the things I appreciated most was the consistency throughout the meal. From the appetizers to the main courses, every dish maintained the same high standard. It's clear that the kitchen takes pride in every plate that leaves the door. The portions were generous, making the experience even more enjoyable and perfect for sharing with friends and family.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. They were happy to answer questions, offer recommendations, and ensure that every guest felt taken care of. Their hospitality added a personal touch that transformed a great meal into a truly memorable dining experience.
What makes Ping Pong Chinese Cuisine special is that it manages to feel both familiar and exciting at the same time. There is a comforting authenticity in the food while also offering enough variety and creativity to keep every visit interesting. In today's competitive restaurant scene, it takes something special to stand out, and Ping Pong Chinese Cuisine absolutely succeeds. Exceptional food, welcoming service, generous portions, and a wonderful atmosphere come together to create a dining experience that exceeds expectations.

“FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!!
Went here with my kid and my mom last weekend. My eyes were bigger than my stomach as I proceeded to order more food than needed. We ordered a Mapo Tofu, a Juicy Pork Dumpling, a Pork Wonton in Spicy Sauce, a Green Onion Pancake and their marquee dish, Chongqing Crispy Chicken. Without a doubt, each dish was fire, but the Pork Wonton in Spicy Sauce really blew my socks off. The flavor was on point, and it wasn't very spicy. While I like it spicy, I know a lot of people don't like it. So this dish is perfect for people who want to like it spicy, but can't quite handle it. We ordered two rices, but in retrospect we should have ordered three... The Mapo Tofu demands more rice.
The restaurant was very clean, and the staff were very polite and accomodating. For now I can honestly I have found my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the valley. I will continue to go back here any time I have a hankering for Chinese, which is not true, because I always have a hankering for Chinese. The restaurant is like 20+ minutes away from my house, so it just isn't practical, and it is a tad expensive to be doing that. I think we got out of there after tip around $90, but again, it was a lot of food, and I had enough leftovers for another lunch for two. Definitely check it out!“

“I have been eating here for years.
This is the kind of place where the staff remembers your name.
Any dish you order here will be amazing.
I cannot say that there is a favorite for me here. I usually end up taking too much time deciding on my order, because, I can't make up my mind most of the time. There are however times when I have something in mind already.“

1. Sam Woo platter (roast duck, roast pork, chinese bbq pork, soy sauce chicken) - 1
2. Hot sour soup
3. French style beef - C5
4. Orange chicken
5. Eggplant with minced pork (spicy)
6. Bbq pork Fried rice“

“Love this place for cheap delicious and fast meals! The combo B is my go-to with orange chicken and mushroom chicken with chow mein. Chow mein is delicious! Orange chicken is the best I’ve had in a restaurant to date and honestly I’ve never had anything that wasn’t good. Fried items that don’t travel as well I’d like are the cream cheese wontons (good, but a bit oily and not much crisp after delivery) and spring rolls - same thing. Portions are huge on Combo B. On combo C the third item will come in a tiny Chinese food container, and if that’s your favorite one out of the three dishes, you may be a little upset.“

“I used to come here years ago. I worked basically a few doors down at the Dispensary. I haven’t been around in years but I was over in the area and I stopped by. The stand out here is the Spicy Orange Chicken!!! It was perfectly fried and the jalapeños were the perfect complement. The noodles had a great chew to them and my two other sides had a lot of flavor. I went with teriyaki chicken and mushroom chicken.
There are chili oils on the counter and sriracha to take to your table. This is one of the hole in the wall places that I love.“
“Great food and nice service at Dumpling Wei in Brentwood! We ordered the hand pulled pancake, chicken xiao long bao, and golden beef belly noodle soup. Everything tasted fresh and very good. The dumplings were juicy, and the soup had a lot of flavor. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. I would come back again!“

“This is the BEST FOOD in Simi! I have already drained my children’s college funds eating their All You Can Eat Dinner special on a weekly basis. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ANYWHERE ELSE.
How would I describe the environment at Family Mongolia BBQ? To answer this question, ask yourself this… how would you describe the birth of your first child?
There are not words in the English language that can accurately describe how I feel…
My brother in-law and I attend this eatery AT LEAST once a week after a heavy Leg Day. This food nourishes our quads immensely. It is possible that ~30% of my body’s lean muscle mass is compromised of beef from Family Mongolian BBQ.
How would I describe the chefs?
For Mozart, his instrument was the pen. For Michelangelo it was the chisel, for the Great Zosimo and Romeo… IT IS THE WOODEN COOKING STICKS. Every mountain of meat I’ve brought to them has been cooked superbly… it makes me emotional just to think about it.
How would I describe the service?
Every time I walk into this fine establishment I am consistently greeted by the beautiful and kind Nana.
Once while walking to my table with my plate, I tripped and just when I thought all was lost… Nana, in Maguire-fashion, swooped in and caught me. She saved both my life and my dignity. Everyone in the room clapped. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes and graciously thanked her. Ever since that day… she has held a special place in my heart… and my will.
In conclusion… to Family Mongolian BBQ.. to the beautiful staff… to the artisan chefs that craft the most incredible stir fry in the world… I would like to extend my most sincere praise and appreciation. Thank you for everything…“

“EXCELLENT CHINESE FOOD! Very nice and friendly wait staff and a clean and inviting interior. Very reasonable prices and huge portions. We had their 24 dollar each dinner special, which was a big chicken veggie soup pot, and I had the Mongolian beef Very tender and flavorful. Also chose the orange chick which was white meat chicken breaded, in that sweet orange 🍊 sauce and spices. Came with a giant fried rice, that had diced carrots, peas, scallions and bits of scrambled egg! LOOK NO FURTHER for great food charming atmosphere and friendly people!“

“Nice chinese korean food that hits the spot. The tansuyuk was that crispy chewy texture that makes it unique 👌. Comes dippable which is the only appropriate way to eat it! Sauce could use more citruis and fruit. 8.7/10.
Jjampong was decent. I think it lacked a bit of depth for the flavor. Sad there was no shrimp or other seafood. Noodles were decent and had a decent bite. 7.8/10. Chicken wings were... sad. I dont know if there was a sauce shortage... but it should be more a few drops on there... 7.4/10. I would also like to recommend a no pork in the jjajangmyun option. I know its pre-made but it would be nice...“

“No dine in so I won’t review service and atmosphere. Crab Rangoon was good. Orange chicken was fairly good but some pieces had more orange flavor than others. Black pepper beef had lots of vegetables and would have preferred more beef, flavor was good but could have been more peppery. Xo sauce string beans didn’t have much flavor, but I tasted the sauce in the bottom of the container and it was good so maybe the beans need to marinate more. I’ll try it again tomorrow and see if it tastes better. So, all in all, I’d say the food is kind of average.“

“It’s a little decent spot within a little strip mall in Santa Monica. While the strips a little dusty and downward, Lee’s itself is always clean.
I’ve been coming here once in a while for the better part of the past 8 years when occasionally I want decent “fast food” without typically high Santa Monica take out prices.
The 2 combo plate is a good deal. Under $12 bucks. The Orange chicken/ Teriyaki Combo with Chow mien & veggies. The Orange chicken is never tastes like it’s stale and been sitting all day. The Teriyaki Chicken hits pretty well too. It isn’t dry nor tasteless. And the sauce is decent. The Chow mien isn’t classic but it hits the spot. And the portions are large. While I do need a sprite or ginger ale to combat the sodium afterwards, the occasional compromise is worth it 👍🏾“

“Great food, prices are incredibly affordable, and they have plenty of parking on site. The employees are always friendly and quick to assist so they keep the line moving. Best thing so far about this spot though? They have Char Siu, it's one of my favorite dishes and I've been struggling to find it here. The portions are incredibly large too, probably could split it between 2-3 meals depending on how much you eat.“

“Ordered takeout and food was made fast. Service was quick and front of the house is friendly. The chow men is a bit thicker. Their chicken dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. Their darker sauce dishes are more flavorful than other Chinese restaurants nearby. The moo goo gai pan was good. In comparison to other Chinese restaurants here, they have saltier food, but that lends to a good flavor.“
