“Food truck outside CVS in rosemead... and glad I stopped randomly. Good asada! Enjoyed my tacos and mulitas. I like side bag vegetables with cucumber and radish to munch and the fact that they gave me extra onions and peppers to take home. if you want hot sauce, onions and cilantro on side, get a good size bag for it too. I'll be back again“

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

Server recommended the taquitos, green chile, and onion rings, and I can’t wait to come back and try them. Such a classic spot that does not disappoint on flavor.“

“Been meaning to hit this place, but always pass them up. Glad I stopped by, they got some good eats here. Tried the Vamipro with bistec and potato. Nice and crispy hand made tortilla. Potatos were healthy cut pieces and soft. Also had the Guisado sampler and man they are not shy with the servings. I definitely recommend the sampler plate if you are wanting to try the different options of guisados. For this location early is better as they do sell out of items on the early side. They also have restaurant where you can get there goods as well.“

They have special either Wednesdays or Thursday & it's 2 for one. They select which tacos will be on special. Customer service has always been kind friendly people.“

“Dude, I’m really impressed with this little spot. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and the gentlemen working here are kind Sinaloenses who are easy to talk to. Authentic Mexican food without the fluff. The tacos are fairly priced and GOOD, the gringa is insane if that’s your thing.

If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, I highly recommend the bowl. The flavors are spot on, the portions are generous (easily enough for two meals), and it’s hearty without being heavy.

They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. “I first visited this place five years ago, and it was amazing—one of my favorite taco spots in L.A. I’d been wanting to try it again, and recently, while visiting SoCal, I had the chance to stop by. While it’s still pretty good, it doesn’t quite feel like it used to. The tacos are smaller now, as is the trend with most places in L.A. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m guessing one of the main tortilla distributors started making them smaller, promoting it as a selling point so that trucks don’t have to use as much meat and ingredients. What surprised me here, though, is that the tortillas are handmade and yet they started making them smaller. I still enjoy them—they really are the closest thing to a Tijuana-style taco. The flavor is excellent, and the guacamole is fantastic! All in all, it is still worth it to make the drive because where else can you get handmade tortillas and thick, gloppy guac? Here!“

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.“

Their asada is some of the best in the area.
Their salsas are excellent.
The best horchata is top tier.

I get 2-4 tacos and a mulita de asada w beans and an horchata. Hits the spot EVERYTIME!
