“AMAZING. Literally some of the best tacos ever. I genuinely don’t understand the bad reviews. I recently moved farther away and I STILL come back every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. That should tell you everything.

The prices are so cheap, especially on Tuesdays, and the portions are HUGE. They give you so much meat that the tacos need two tortillas just to survive. And they’re consistently delicious every single time.

BUT THE SAUCE??? OMG. I always say sauce is EVERYTHING, and their sauce is actually heaven. I always get the green sauce with guac and it is SO. FREAKING. GOOD. I could probably drink the green sauce by itself. Whoever makes that sauce deserves a raise, a vacation, and my eternal gratitude.

On top of that, the service is always great. I’ve been coming here for over a year now and they’ve consistently been good. Even after moving away, Taco Tuesday keeps bringing me back.“

“BEST BURRITO IVE EVER HAD! Wow. Seriously. It takes a lot for me to leave a review. But I'm sitting here eating this burrito and it is probably the best burrito I've ever had. Perfect size (long not overly thick like some places do where every bite is hard to take) taste is spot on. The a la cart options out front allow me to add my toppings to each bite as I want. And this yellow sauce is PERFECT HEAT and FLAVOR. A+ GUYS.“

“Stopped by for the first today and the service was good and the food came out fairly quick. The Quesabirra tacos were amazing! The consume has a little bit of a kick but was very flavorful. The tinga and asada taco we're just ok. Nothing to write home about but we will be going back just to get more of those Quesabirra. I definitely recommend checking this place out.“

“We came back here after an year and the food still tastes the same, very delicious. The only thing that changed was that they got upgraded to a taco truck and it is called Tacos Los Poblanos. We tried chorizo tacos, Al pastor burrito and chicken Quesadilla. Every thing was on-point and the salsas were excellent. Highly recommend getting their Quesadilla with freshly handmade corn tortilla.“

“I stopped by this taco truck after my usual taco stand wasn’t open—and I’m glad I gave it a try. I ordered the buche, carnitas, pastor, and cabeza tacos. The carnitas and cabeza were the best—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right.

I also had the carne asada fries, which were hearty and satisfying. The guacamole in the carne asada fries is seriously addictive, and their salsa, along with the pickled jalapeños and red onions, added a fresh, tangy kick.

At $2.50 per taco, the prices are reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back.

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“We stopped by while visiting LA, in search of good local tacos and Taco La 26 did not disappoint!!! The tortillas were fresh, the salsa was delicious & the al pastor was my favorite! I love that they have free roasted potato’s and onions, so no matter what you get a filling meal.

You order at the food station then pay at the counter with the square machines. No where to sit but honestly they’ll be gone before you could sit down.

It is a block from skid row, & as tourist we weren’t familiar - but like anywhere else, just pay attention to your surroundings. The location is gated and there’s plenty of parking.

Open late and so delicious! 10/10 recommend & would DEFINITELY eat here again.“

“Line moves quickly. Clear menu and lots of options (lots of variety and nachos/potatoes). Super efficient and friend staff too. Food was delicious and happy I don’t have to drive down to DLTA for delish tacos. Big bonus : seeing fresh corn tortillas being made, free parking at target, and some seating for guests!! Server recommended the taquitos, green chile, and onion rings, and I can’t wait to come back and try them. Such a classic spot that does not disappoint on flavor.“

“Been meaning to hit this place, but always pass them up. Glad I stopped by, they got some good eats here. Tried the Vamipro with bistec and potato. Nice and crispy hand made tortilla. Potatos were healthy cut pieces and soft. Also had the Guisado sampler and man they are not shy with the servings. I definitely recommend the sampler plate if you are wanting to try the different options of guisados. For this location early is better as they do sell out of items on the early side. They also have restaurant where you can get there goods as well.“

“I have been to Off the Hook several times. Each time with different friends and we have always had a good experience. The food is very good and fresh, the portions are reasonable (not too large, not too small) service is courteous.“

“I visited Tacos Tumbras a Tomas at Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles.

I ordered the carnitas tacos, which are one of their specialties.
The pork was flavorful and tender, and the portion was surprisingly large.
They also asked whether I wanted the salsa spicy or mild, which was nice because I could choose it based on my preference.

The amount of meat was so generous that one order was more than enough to fill me up.
They also provide extra tortillas, so you can make additional tacos with the generous amount of meat.

The tacos were delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. I was especially impressed by the portion size for the price.

The stand has been serving Michoacan-style carnitas at Grand Central Market for many years, and it’s easy to see why it has remained popular.

“Dude, I’m really impressed with this little spot. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and the gentlemen working here are kind Sinaloenses who are easy to talk to. Authentic Mexican food without the fluff. The tacos are fairly priced and GOOD, the gringa is insane if that’s your thing.

If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, I highly recommend the bowl. The flavors are spot on, the portions are generous (easily enough for two meals), and it’s hearty without being heavy.

“Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.“

“We drive 35 miles at least three times a month to eat here. We love Home State and as a Native Texan, I can attest that their queso is the real deal!!! I just wish they'd open one in Claremont, CA!!! The Don't Mess With Texas is my favorite taco and my husband loves the brisket taco. Everything is amazing though!!!“

“I first visited this place five years ago, and it was amazing—one of my favorite taco spots in L.A. I’d been wanting to try it again, and recently, while visiting SoCal, I had the chance to stop by. While it’s still pretty good, it doesn’t quite feel like it used to. The tacos are smaller now, as is the trend with most places in L.A. I’m not sure what happened, but I’m guessing one of the main tortilla distributors started making them smaller, promoting it as a selling point so that trucks don’t have to use as much meat and ingredients. What surprised me here, though, is that the tortillas are handmade and yet they started making them smaller. I still enjoy them—they really are the closest thing to a Tijuana-style taco. The flavor is excellent, and the guacamole is fantastic! All in all, it is still worth it to make the drive because where else can you get handmade tortillas and thick, gloppy guac? Here!“
